This just been tweeted:
Funny Samsungs first ICS rom for I9100 is a custom. (Still with TW but with ICS tweaks) #December #ICS #I9100
does that mean the first ics type rom now leaked? Fingers crossed.....

Already on KIES? Hmm

there is a new tweet from Samfirmware
"Funny Samsungs first ICS rom for I9100 is a custom. (Still with TW but with ICS tweaks) #December #ICS #I9100"
So we r going to get a new leaked rom ?

Sweet news, we are getting it a lot sooner then I anticipated
The leaked rom will make for a nice xmas present!

Users like me who are using Samsung from I8910 already know their LIES. So I ain't believing this till it comes.
Nuff said.

Just leak a damn ICS rom so CM9 development can continue.

One of those photos from the link shows software keys and of course the hardware keys. Big waste of screen space if that's the official ROM.

The software keys are part of ICS...all devices will have them. Hardware keys or not....

I already knew that since little after the galaxy nexus launch, this is very old news...

I didn't know that. What a waste of screen though. I'm sure the custom ROMs will soon get rid of those software keys.

just like with froyo...took us months to get froyo for the vibrant after the i9000 got it so this means nothing for the vibrant
if im reading that correctly that does meant that we will eventually be getting gingerbread but if im not mistaken the release coming next week is supposed to be for international sgs phones.
I thought the vibrant was a US only variant? Also you would think we would have seen leaked builds by now from krylon.

I thought Krylon jumped ship a while back. Isn't he now doing a lot for the Nexus S. I assume he will still realease stuff for the Vibrant just not as often.

Doesn't matter what day it is released. It is a joke either way!
I'm not holding my breath nor do I really care anymore. I am super content with 2.2.1 simply honey even though its not meant for our phones.
I tried installing kies again and updated it tio the version required but I can't get kies tio recognize my phone. Kies 2.0 doesn't support my phone.
Is been much time since I don't use kies, but I remember having troubles with it, I think the only time I got it to work was with kies mini..
Using bionix 1.3.1 now, tried also installing stock jfd ecclaire

We got froyo 6 months after i9000, so if people are looking for a official GB, go look inside a toilet.
If you want a beta.... there MAY BE one.
but then again we already have 2 GB roms, and i'm pretty sure their the same.
Who gives a damn about official roms, im just happy this got out so our great developers will have something more solid and close for GB to our device than they do now.

GB Update for Epic

Spoke to Reston, VA today. They claim they are still working on the official GB update to the Epic with Samsung. They don't want to have any problems like they had with the Froyo update (according to them- there was a "lag" issue with the rotation on 2.2 OTA update). No date planned as of yet. Please stand by...
As long as its working right when it comes out. Thanks.

if only we could get em to release the source (with EVERYTHING needed) and let the community fix it for them, since we all know it would happen 10x faster than they are getting things done. Oh well, keep dreaming right?
Samsung should just give up and let the Epic community work on GB. Give them the source code and I bet they will have a fully functional build of GB within a month.

I dont know why anyone uses the stock browser anyways. With so many other options that feature better performance and cleaner UI's I cant understand what everyones problem is. I have never had a stock browser on my phone. It's the first thing I delete.

Isn't there a Google agreement that if the phone meets the minimum requirements for a Update then it gets it
Plus Gingerbread has not been the best rom for most phones
Froyo was the best as it had alot of development Gingerbread still needs work to fix the FC problems, They can't leave there phones like this as it will spill over to the other devices
Well, Samsung is busy on ICS, so probably no more GB firmwares.

Surely the people to ask are Samsung Technical Support, as the members of XDA do not normally have a priority information feed from Samsung.

Galaxy S II now getting update to Android 4.0.4 ICS

Ooooh, a link to a blog which appears to rip off other blogs by copying their content word for word, linking to another blog, which links to sammobile? Awesome. Thanks for making a new thread to spam that crap. We needed more 4.0.4 threads anyway.
just recieved a firmware update , it still say's version 4.0.3
What was your previous version?

i really hope with this update they fixed those bugs... my s2 had many problems and so my friends galaxy s2 s since the ics update .. gingerbread is still the best rom in my opinion
whats all the buzz about 4.04, its not like its a special upgrade, its still ics....
Im more interested in JB, come on guys, are we going to get it?????
I really hope so, personally i dont like ics and im still running LA4 GB, since day 1 of pretty much flashing my phone, it works for mw, ics doesnt.
So if anyone has any goss on JB, would be cool, i know the s3 and hox and note will get it, but, will we..

With JB, try waiting another 6 months.
You do not need the ROM released in your regions to install. Most of them are fine, unless you want languages specific to your region.

Why the guy don't share the rom file link??
We'll seek and expect today and the next few days.
when he scroll in the about device section it has a date on 31th july 2012 and when he gets right to the bottom it says TEST KEYS just below xadlg4 at 03:07 in to the video but he quickly moves it back up
btw it's not XADLG4 but XXDLG4.

Im watching it without sound, but is S-Voice gone? I couldn't see it when he was flicking in the app drawer, though there was something that looked voice related on the last page as he was scrolling (but his app drawer was arranged alphabetically...I think). Maybe it's just wishful thinking, but are Samsung using Google Now in 4.1?
