Bada Android - Help needed to build drivers into kernel! - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

Sorry if this is completely irrelevant in every way shape and form, but I'm from a community of people who own Samsung Wave smart phones who would really like to own an Android port due to the horrendous support for Bada by Samsung and complete and total lack of applications.
We have a working Froyo 2.2 port on the device which many have copied to their phones with success. A few developers have worked on it, Olek_k from XDA was working on it, passed it over to Rebellos. However, we currently have no working modem, camera or battery sensor and they are having trouble with Kernel development. Rebellos says that he thinks he's collected enough info to write a modem driver, but he is having problems with the kernel and the project has stalled. We've seen the amazing progress that has been made with this project, being passed down from person to person and there is a huge community of people who would like to experience android on their Bada handsets. I am no developer myself and a lot of us aren't, but the project has stalled and it'd be a real shame for so much progress to be lost. Do you know of anyone or are you yourself a developer of HD2 Android? All of us at badaforums.net and those in the Bada section at XDA are eager to see progress on the project. We do have developers, but they need aid in an area that they do not know well.
Please don't take this as a demanding request, I'm simply asking if you know of anyone who could help compile an android kernel (I'm not sure of the detail you'd have to ask the developers themselves) with the help of the current devs. We'd be hugely greatful if you could co-operate and help us out, because I know many who would absolutely adore android on their crippled Wave smartphones.
I sent a message similar to this to the admin of the Android ROMs site (http://android.hd2roms.com/) to see if they had any ideas about someone who could help. If you didn't know already, the wave is only available outside of the US, I don't know if anyone in the US can help with the development without the phone, you'd have to ask Rebellos or one of the other devs from the topic.
Below are some links where the discussions are;
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1118436&page=260
http://www.badaforums.net/forums/android-porting/porting-android-s8500-wave-t5464.html
I am a noob at XDA and I haven't tried the port myself as of yet, but I love my Wave and no one has made the jump to reach to the awesome HD2 porting community yet, so I thought I'd try.
Please contact me in this topic, via PM, or contact Rebellos or any of the other developers in the topic if you, or someone you know can help out.
Thanks very much, again, sorry if this is in the wrong place.

+1 as a HD2 and Wave user. Help us please!

Damn, no one else has noticed the post :/
Oh well, I'll be patient and just hope that people aren't ignoring the post lol.
Pins, do you know of someone who was at the head of the project? I'm pretty clueless, I'll do some digging.

They will, just give them time.

You might want to consider getting the XDA admin's incharge of the news, to publish this, since this is really going to go un-noticed by the majority of developers. Some good might come out of it. All the best. I remembered waiting (and I am sure many other HD2 users too) for the Android port and then WP7 port for HD2... it seemed like a long wait, but eventually it is done

Yeah man, thanks. I was just being impatient. Really don't want to come off as an arsehole because a lot of people in the bada-android forum got pissed due to trolls, when there are, infact a lot of people who are nice and genuine who are eager to see the port.
And I will have a look to see if I can do that erlern, but do you think they will really listen to someone with like, under 10 posts? xD I mean, they might, but however funny that noob video was, they don't seem to be particularly keen on them. We'll see.

erlern is right maybe its better to write the admins at news
Hi rayze! Erlern is right come to think of it, the admins handling the news section can post about this on the front page.
Also on the title of the post amend it to this "Help needed to build drivers into kernel" then maybe the developers of this thread may pay more attention too.
Also post this on the android development thread of HD2 since this is the Q&A section which has more to do with everyday use of the hd2.

Well someone needed to try to get people's attention
No one else seemed to bother doing it, so I thought, why not. Don't think I've posted in HD2 main yet, but might have. Struggling to remember really.
Oh yeah, no I didn't because I need more posts xD I only have 7 lol.

Unfortunately us Wave modders are probably one of the smallest communities in this entire forum, we might get noticed, but it's getting people to help that will be the highest hurdle. It's a shame really, you'd expect many more people to buy this phone when you can pick it up now at cpw for £99.
I really respect how those developers devote so much time on making better software for our phones, and in most cases they just want a thank you at the end.

I am so happy to see this at the front page of XDA!

Really hope to see Android on Waves! Glad to have contributed in a small way Keep the faith guys!

[DISCUSSION] ANDROID/MAEMO/LINUX on HD2 (Discussion Thread)

Okay I'm a lurker on the developer thread and I thought it best to create a separate topic where everyone can talk about it (or complain that people can't shoehorn an OS on a device fast enough for their liking despite the fact that people are doing it for free basically) without all this "DEVELOPER DISCUSSION ONLY AUGUGHGH" "but we don't know where else to post about it"-ism
so this thread is for the non-developer discussion of said project:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=578575
(won't let me past "outside links"(?) cos I'm a n00b for some reason)
so there's no excuse now for anyone who posts "when is it done?" in the other thread
Also, a few pointers since some people don't get it and I'd rather save a developers/non-developers civil war thing.
How long will it take? - You're looking at about a year at least. Remember, it's installing an OS on a system that isn't meant to even have it. It's going to take a hell of a lot of time to guesswork and muck around with this stuff.
(all the people moaning on engadget re: the US HD2 launch being all "HTC release an android update right now " and then being all "OH XDA WILL SORT IT OUT" (because apparently xda is their overnight miracle machine) annoy me something chronic for this reason.)
remember too that these people are more or less doing this for free.
Can't you just install the Nexus/Supersonic/etc. rom on there? - No.
from what I understand of the whole thing (I'm not a developer so take this with a pinch of salt) there's an awful lot of different code and such on these things which means it isn't as easy to just "install" it on another OS. It's like asking why you just can't fit a jaguar engine into a VW beetle. It could work, but there'd be a lot of work and rerouting etc. to be made and even then it would need a lot of tuning and sorting out.
Is it ready yet? - No. You will know when it's ready.
What's happening at the moment? - From what I've read of the whole thing they're trying to iron out kinks with the linux Haret thing thats going to run Android. After they've got it to boot, they're going to have to try and get android working with the HD2. This is why it's taking so long.
so yeah.
hey??
yeah but..
this is the xda DEVELOPERS forum
and this is the HD2 DEVELOPEMENT section
so i guess the linux android development thread does what its supposed to !!
i know its frustrating and you like me want android on the hd2 but to be honest i i find half the fun is the bloody long wait and the small progressions that are made, thats how we learn.
=====PEACE=====
edit >> ok looks like this thread was useful after all - my wrong !! ..
**shrug**
A mod can move it elsewhere if needs be, I was just getting sick of all the feuding going on between people who wanted to talk about it and the developers yelling at the people who aren't posting about developing and thought it best to make a separate thread so non-developer people can talk about the project and developer people can drop in and give advice
yeah
actually you got a point.
theres a fair ammount of flame grill on the other thread that does get annoying
i subscribe to the other thread so i get an instant email for every post and i get my email on my hd2 just as you would a text message so it can be a pain.
=====PEACE=====
Ha finally found again this topic.
I am wishing you all my best to port Android to the HD2 because with all the **** around WinMo 7 comptability, you look the only one able to save the HD2 in the future!
I really hope everyday that Android will be working on our HD2...
Btw, the HTC Desire is going to be out soon, and it has the same specification than the HD2... Does it increase the chance got Android on our HD2?

Why don't *YOU* take the lead then if you're so capable of passing judgement on other people; as to do that you must have some amazing development skills in getting an operating system running on unknown poorly documented hardware.
Obvioiusly everyone will bow down to your uberleet level of skill when *YOU* present all of the fine work *YOU* have done!

Ooooh dear...i´m still wondering why people are that damn lazy these days, not reading just one line in threads that are having 709 posts at this moment...don´t you people think that there should be a 100 percent-likelihood (in a developers-forum!) that another big brain spits out such ideas? exactly 1.000 other so called "newbies" have mentioned this point in the past few weeks...sometimes in every third post, again and again, without having read what other people have posted one line above. This is not about beeing a newbie or not, this is just about a little respect to the developers, serving nice presents to all of us without getting paid for it. what you guys can do for them? well, the first step should be not to spam around questions that already have been answered 1000 times before...instead go and read through the replies and at the end, when you are sure that there is no answer yet (after using the search function too, of course)...THAN ask your question or type in your comments and I think everbody will thank you for your participation in this community.
Sorry zabique, of course this is not against you ...but after reading exactly the same line for the 20st time/last two weeks there was no inhibition of my fingers typing these lines possible
i have a lot of respect for those developers, i die a bit inside every time a noob asks how it is going and **** like that.. anyway its nice they are working on it and i hope they succeed! dual boot windows / android would be really cool to have! i will surely donate if its working.. but to who should i donate? maybe its an idea to make a sort of bounty (lets say i will give $20 for getting android on hd2) and someone else also $20. thats 40 in total. if that 40 is shared and given to the developers that have worked on that project it would be a stimulation for them i guess.. only i dont know what developers are working intensively..
anyway my reward will be $20
more of you are going to join?
maybe its an idea to add the totall's of the $$ and the name who gives what in the first post?

actually he is quite right. if you have any idea what developers are talking about then you can see that all they do is guess in trial and error style. but aparently you dont have any idea
From the viewpoint of a software architect, it's indeed hard to watch the other thread without crinching every once in a while. On the other hand, the plan of attack there seems to be part of a culture that has done stuff like this quite succesfully with other challenges.
So i won't be surprised if we eventually get a nice port of android running on the HD2.
Mind you, i do believe that an undertaking like this would need the infrastructure, tools and mindset like the main android project has in place at the moment. But that would require a "DEVs and Testers only" door policy.
Simply put, the other thread here lets the lesser gods put their 2 cents in too. I'm cool with that.
BTW, i do not approve of any condescending remarks about the the other thread, nor do i wish to make my own through this mail.

Project 7 Nexus One, Double the 7rouble we have a EVOlu7ion

Today is the new rebirth of the Nexus One. The Future is near.
Windows Phone 7 for the Nexus One is up for grabs for any developer who thinks they can handle this feat.
I have built a sister thread to this in the Evo 4g Development site.
Further down is some information of our progress.
We have a small team working on the Evo 4g but we need more people to help work on this for the Nexus One. Think of this as CM7 but instead of AOSP - WP7

I think I have some sort of structure now. It's insanely buggy. It fails ALMOST immediately. At least it sort of tries to boot WP7... sort of. I still have quite a bit of research and trial and error still to come, but I believe I'm on to something where before I really felt like I was stabbing in the dark. Trap the errors, trap the errors, trap the errors and debuuuuuuuug.
I think I might be going insane haha.......I look forward to the day that I have something worth posting......so shut down....naysayers. We're still a ways from that day still unfortunately.

I'd also like to level set with all the folks that are anxious to get WP7 on their EVO. I guarantee you that this is at least 60 days out until it is safe enough for anyone other than the dev(s) to test/flash.
We should add the word "Project" to the Subject of this thread. We should also add the rule "Do Not Ask for an ETA" in Bold, All Caps, bright red text. That is by far one of The Most irritating things to a dev, and I've known it to cause devs to not post progress updates. That is the number 1 rule of etiquette for projects like this. I hope everyone in this thread can understand and respect that.

Dear Devs,
We thank you for your service. We thank you for all the new roms that make our devices unique. We thank you for the apps that you built for us, that make our phones ours not the companies. Because of you we can express our individuality.
With that being said, we ask one more thing from you. We ask you to take our devices to the next level. We ask you to push the borders once again. Let us all come together and create a TRULY COMMUNITY BUILT PORT of WP7 for our devices. A difficult feat none the less, but we can do it, TOGETHER.
Personally I think we can build this project to rival Cyanogen mod, rival not in our perice of software is better then yours but in that the amount of community members and, contributions of sofware, are friendyer and more together. Rivals and friends at the same time.
This is an open bounty for any team of developers that can get a working port of WP7 that boots and can at least have Wi-Fi working.

HD2 NAND and new keyboard

If you ended up to this thread by just clicking on it, because you thought, it has got something to do with HTC HD2 NAND or New Keyboard, I am really sorry and I do apologize to you.
The only reason I have created this thread is because the way one of the HD2 forum moderators have just deleted a thread I created out of the blue! I could not find who, how and when deleted my thread but it's gone!
I don't just find it unjust but I also found it ridiculously childish behaviour! I nudge or a PM would have made better sense before deleting!
The OLD Thread that is now deleted din't do any flaming or spamming either! All I had asked was If any HTC HD2 developer would be willing to help us lot in TG01 forum in developing Android kernel, the way they helped out here. I din't post it in ROM thread or any other forum. I posted that thread in 'general Q&A' as that was where it fitted the best.
DEAR MODERATOR BEFORE YOU DELETE THIS THREAD AS WELL:
If you read any of this (unlike earlier thread) please CONTACT ME first! Deleting thread only because it's title said TG01 doesn't mean I am stupid enough to write TG01 query in HD2 forum! I have created this thread with HD2 and NAND in title - so that themoderator who can't even be bothered to read into the content will NOT delete this as the title relates to HD2!
To all the users who come to this thread:
I ONLY APPEAL to please be at my place and see this situation! I am not intending to flame, spam or anything! I wanted to ask for help from all HD2 developers so that our android development in TG01 forum which has paused right now due to lack of help and guidance can go forward. After all I thought XDA was all about helping each other out!
I again apologize to all users! I am not writing this thread to cause you any inconvenience. The old thread, had correct title and correct format of posting into XDA forums. I had followed all rules. Only because I asked for help for TG01 forum and not for HD2, it was deleted! Where else can I ask for help from ALL developers at HD2? Can't be sending PMs to hundreds of you lot - that would be spamming!!
Hey
Have you tried sending out just a few pm's to hd2 chefs, maybe someone will point you in the right direction,
also have you also tried the irc channels since your query is a dev related

Hey
Some of the main devs behind the actual HD2 Android port were Cotulla, dcordes, NetRipper, LeTama, Markinus, just to name a few, though i doubt you will get much response (with maybe 1 exception)
As for HD2 chefs, its a bit worrying to hear you say you're not sure who they are, they're fairly easy to find...
head over to the HD2 Android NAND Development sub forum & look at the author of the threads, if he/ she states its their build/rom, there is your HD2 Chef
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1040273
its not for me to suggest any names, just take a random pick, most seem friendly enough someone might able to give you some pointers.
have to say tho, really cant understand why you dont sell up & just buy a dedicated android or if you want something to tinker with, why not a HD2 (it is starting to show its age tho).
Anyways, Goodluck

Thank you very much for this answer! It helps a lot!
I am not a chef for HD2 forum roms. I mainly interact in TG01 forums. Hardly pop-in to these forums. Hence had no idea who is very active developer out here. But now the tast seems easier to contact them.
The reason I din't want to sell up (and mostly others out there too) is the contracts. We are tied up in 18-24 months contracts and as much as we hate the bloated OS that our respective carriers have put on this nice piece of hardware, we do want to explore the development on this device to it's max. Hence we were trying to see if someone could help us take the stalled development further on Android.
Most likely TG01 owner might move to android or WP7 in next 6-8 months and then the community might be dead, but android development on this device will bring a new life to enthusiasm

Im sure this thread will get removed or closed and I will get punished like a child thats misbehaving, but I feel that in a community based forum that is designed for people to come together and share ideas and teach one another, that one of the BEST developers of some of the most, if not THE most, stable ROMS gets denied a status as RECOGNIZED DEVELOPER by the same community administators that Im sure USE or HAVE USED his ROMS is flat idiotic and ridiculous!! This thread is just to let people know whats going on with the "higher ups" of XDA. Hope a few people get to see this anyways before either its gone, Im gone, or both!!!
PS - THERE IS A PETITION IN THE GENERAL SECTION!! GO SIGN IT!!

not sure what the issue is, did he ask to have the recognized developer status or just doesn't have it yet?
I've seen quite a few copy and pasters throw roms together from other people's work (direct porting with our boot image and build prop tweaks, swapping apns, libs and eri's etc., even I can do that and will never claim to be a developer), or just compile straight from cm source and they have the recognized developer status... I was under the impression that it wasn't that hard to get....?
That said, I haven't used his roms, but I hear good things and I'm not sure why he wouldn't be worthy of the developer status
He asked and was denied
moderators are few and especially in this section. I wouldn't be surprised if they stayed up for days.
I support Nils and all his work. He's a great guy and an excellent developer, I don't see how they could not recognize him with the rest of the developers when he has done so much in this community.
I have been as impressed with his work about as much as anyone else's. I would love to know the details behind that decision being made.

Ya know.... I'm pretty tired of the *****ing & whining here on XDA lately. Who gives a ****? IT'S THE INTERNET, not a promotion at a job, new girlfriend or car.

No problem. Thanks Bud.
YOUR FONT IS TOO SMALL
I agree 100%. This is crap.
re
I 100% agree that this is crap.
If I'm not mistaken Nil's has been the only DEV supporting this phone since the beginning.I know personally that he answers questions and shares information. So hopefully the powers that be will reconsider.
no, lets give all the credit to AOSP developers and people who throw crap together from other roms and claim "it's a tottaly new rom! " this is f'ing stupid, XDA.
At this point it would be my guess that you have to make or be a part of a breakthrough of some sort in order to be recognized. A stable rom isn't exactly something that people can be recognized for because all the copy-and-pasters screwed that up for everyone. There's no telling what belongs to who in a ROM so why give people props for it when there's so much going on as far as people just taking stuff.
If I were looking to be recognized I'd do something innovative... Get WP7 on here, make a live wallpaper that has the camera active so its like were looking through our phone, etc etc. Most recognized developers develop for more than one phone so crank out something that the EVO and Desire can use as well as us... Things like that.
That's the only logic I can follow as far as why he was denied.

Being innovative has nothing to do with being a recognised dev. it's just being that, recognised for what you have done. it's about contributions and being helpful. not who's done the most awesome rom, mod or app. it's not a super dev contest... if that were the case, easily more than half of the recognised devs would not be recognized because they are drag and drop devs with no programing skills. just swap and remove files from one rom to another and call it their rom.
to be more exact to the terms of being a RD, here are the actual requirements...
-Be a developer that regularly posts your work/works on XDA
-Post helpful threads in the general section
-Regularly help answer questions in the Q&A Sections
-Not be found guilty of flaming
-And of course, feel out the Recognized Developer of XDA request form(When available which it currently is not at this time).
If you know Nils or have dealt with him in any way, you know he meets most if not all these requirements.
Well said Stoney!
This place has gone to hell ever since the closing of newtoroot threads a month or two back and with all the drama with certain devs. I'm glad I got my dinc 2 and don't have to see such travesties like this. Eff Ex Dee Ay.

How exactly does one feel out the form? lol. Sorry trolling, but I had to.
If you go by the definition you stated, then most rom builders would fit the bill. I have seen huge support by most devs on this forum. It sounds tho, that there is more to this than we know.
xda is starting to lose my respect and my visiting

Hyperdroid thread closed :(.

Another pissed of dev is clearly seems . Love using the surgeon.. was a lil tricky at first but worked a treat. And also people are using there work without no credit being given. Piss take as hyperdroid base is mega stable and has good features ...heres hoping he comes back... soon. He did kind of hint it at the end lol . What do yooooooou make of it.
looks like an iphone but powered by android baby!!!!
Hopefully the "team" (there's more than one man) are working on something good to come back with. I can completely understand why they closed it because the amount of lazy ass people that post in there looking for general support was a joke. They're nice people but there's a limit which has obviously been reached. We have a general section for general chit chat but people again are too lazy to use multiple fora to get what they require. Unfortunately the "user" will eventually ruin the "dev" focus of these forums.
In my opinion there should be a 100 post rule before you can even post in the developer forums. This would force the noobs top read the forums.

100% agreed. I'm sure it's been suggested before but always worth posting it in the support and feedback forum, go on you know you want to
Only backlash this would have is 100 posts elsewhere to get sufficient posts for them to plague the dev forums as they do now with the 10. It would possibly deter them though, anything's worth a try.

Hi,
you should not lump together all newbies.
There are also the other one's, which read a lot and learn by doing.
Although I'm new to Android at all, I try to help where I can (it's not much..) and you won't find nooby questions. Because all one want to know is somewhere anwered here.
Maybe Dev's should set up 2 threads, one for Q&A with a faq at beginning, supported mostly by the "key users", and one only for dev-related matters (no answers to silly questions...)
Only my opinion of course...
Regards
Norbert
100 post rule is bull, ya no why because they will just make new threads and ask the dumb ass questions.
I'm not a noob either i been here abour 5 years and watch this place go down hill so fast over the past year. I used to spend hours in the Leo section answering posts as demon man and got fed up of it. It isnt just the new people pissing devs off its the mods also there part to blame with there lame ideas, most of them just jump on there high horse. yes I can totally understand why devs just give up but then you have the likes of codeworkx who will tell you you will get abuse if you ask stupid dumb ass questions and abuse he will give, yet the stupid questions are still asked.
It doesnt take 10 mins to find 90% of your answers on here although the search button is a load of gash imo stickies are the best answer of read a few pages back but nobody seems to wanna do that anymore, hell the day i got my leo and touch diamond i nearly fudged them for not reading but after half hour of reading and looking you can find your answer the best bet would be that new topics have to be moderated first instead of the same question all the time go through and see how many posts there have been in the past 2 weeks about people screwing there efs folder that should be a stickie imo in bold.
I've been using xda for several years. I never post anything as the answer always seem to be available already posted my someone else.
Recently XDA has been an increasingly unpleasant place to visit. People seem to be unable to read more than the last 2 threads, have any sense of how to be even slightly polite and have no concept of the hard work an generosity of those developing and sharing. If i was a dev i'd have taken my bat and ball home ages ago.
I'll go back to reading, and tinkering with my phone.
1 post nearer 100
Many thanks to all those who give so much. Especially Pongster and his team.
Xda was awesome back in the windows mobile days Devs and noobs were very humble, civil helpful. There was no competition among devs and everyone used to work together.
Since android has come in this place has pretty much gone downhill. It is all about fame, donations now.
No offence, just a general observation.
Cheers.

2 threads seems good to me. .
looks like an iphone but powered by android baby!!!!
Extropy has hit the nail on the head. I couldn't agree more.
Lets hope something changes, It's no fault of Xda, it's just that over the last year Androids popularity has exploded, and thus the number of newcomers and freeloaders.
BUT what angers me is that for every so called "Annoying noob post" in the threads there are 10X responses from established members that are much more aggressive and rude in tone in comparison. I feel its quicker to help someone and guide them In a constructive way. It's annoying sure, but saves comeback questions, heated exchanges and tempers blowing up.
Something needs to change, but its going to be a tough one.
One things for sure, I've seen many Good devs leave, soon there will be threads with a lot more Kangs then there already are.
I hope this gets sorted.
Cheers guys

I disagree. Donations are fine in my opinion. I mean its hours spent trying to create something that everyone and yourself will like and share it for free. So a lil donation never hurts . With rom competition dont really see it tbh... i just think stealing some1 elses work is a piss take.

i do agree with what you are saying with the donations.. in an ideal world.
xda can always do this as an experiment.
see who remains when no donations are allowed.
pretty sure the kangs will stop rather quickly
as for the rule of 100 posts, its pretty easy to rack up, especially if they treat xda like twitter.
a combination of both number of years and post rule, with years taking precedence.
for ppl to post in dev threads anyway.
Sorry but I'm starting to get mixed feelings here. I've always been on their side and understand that they can get fed up. But it's as if being a noob is not permitted in their thread. No disrespect but they are coming across as elitist.
As for the devs that use their work without all due credit they are destroying xda spirit.
As far as I remember, from the WinMo days, it was the same old BS, just on a smaller scale, less devices, less forums, less posters, so it was all a more manageable talk for the mods/admind/etc to keep on top of.
I will be really sad if hyperdroid doesnt come back, I only really finished moving there from VR (Base got a bit old) and I dont want to have to find another rom, there all seem to be to themed rather than stable bases with the useful mods built in.
being a newbie is fine. We all start there.
bear in mind, n00b has a different meaning to what you are referring to here.
What differentiates newbies that are humble and n00bs are as below:
being a trolling n00b calling devs idiots, or demanding devs to give them exactly what they want, a n00b that can't read/search, a n00b that somehow thinks he knows best, a n00b that advices others to do weird/ridculous things to their phones, it can be pretty tiring.

this is also my impression. i liked hyperdroid since HD2. excellent work. top job.
hyperdroid was the main reason to buy an SGS2.
But in a thread beginning with:
"Goals of the ROM: Fast. Functional. Solid.
We want the ROM to be fully customizable by the most important person--- YOU, the user. We believe its your choice how you theme the device and that a ROM shouldn't just be themed creations based off another ROM."
Again: The most important person--- YOU, the user.
I think this should be a thread also for users. not only for devs. Did I get this wrong? ok, there where posts with awful context. but lump all users together?
one example of what i really don't understand: they say, the do their job primary for themselves. ok. but do the dev's need a OTA-Tool for themselves?
Users are the most important persons - and then they kick them out. This is a contradiction in my opinion.
i am very sad about this...
This was pongster's thread, his decision. I wish the guys the best for the future! So bye, bye hyperdroid ...

I agree. But just read Pongster last post. He's got reasons to be angry but sounds a bit smug to me.
I never demanded anything or complained and moved to hyperdroid because the sounded committed while knowing what they talk about. I mean real development. But reading between the lines if you don't know how to use adb then you don't have the requested level. And you shouldn't report bugs.
So basically because of that + some disrespectful comments + stolen work they might stop sharing all along.
Well, it's their work, they don't owe us anything and it's only fair enough.
Life goes on and I won't beg them. If they come back then fine and I'd be pleased. However, even if I end up using their rom again, I won't post anything or ask help from them at all.
Edit: one more thing. Posting on their thread doesn't necessarily mean that you are requesting help from them. You ask help from those who use the same rom and may have encountered the same issue. Most of the time users help each other and that's the best way of learning.
