battery problem

I've been using 2.2 firmwares since JPA and everytime i cant manage to get more tan 16 hours of usage with data activated.
when i was using 2.1 i could get 36 hours with the data turned on all day
anyone got any suggestion?

When you flash a new firmware, do you flash wid a full battery charge?.....that makes a difference cos the os considers that battery level to be the Max level at that time.... .. i read bout this in lestats dev page....cheers!

today i had to flash my phone again and i was in a hurry so i flashed it without charging to 100%....will it make any difference??

It may have to do with cpu scaling also.I installed cpu master and saw that the cpu is always on 667mhz and not down-scaling when not in use

Yup the app deletes the battery calibration file when it is fully charged ....so it does set ur battery to Max level.....it shd work....

I dunno about this, after I flashed a new rom(60% charge) the battery was fine for a few days(around 26 hrs backup)...but recently the battery backup has dropped to less than 8 hrs!

[HELP] Batt SG2 and iPhone4 - Please

Hello:
I bought a Galaxy S2 , (i had an Iphone 2) .
I already flash several times with diferent roms.
Yesterday i flashed with cognition 2.3.4 and during the night 40 % of bat gone...
No push mail
Justt stand by.
I need to decide , i love the phone but i need battery..1 day its enough...( 18 hours) if i keep the SG2 or buy another Iphone4
Please help me :
Whats your best combination for kernel , rom , and modem...i dont care if its 2.3.4 or 2.3.3. Just Want some more battery.

Villain 1.4 good battery life .
Multiple flashing of roms degrades battery life unless you reset battery stats and give the battery time to readjust + 80 %of battery drain is user apps /rogue aps constantly trying to connect /wake phone .

WOW.....your device is so hard work, but I would like to know you whether open the auto-sync?! you can download the app for Juicedefender or Green Power to control the data/ Wifi, it can save power.
I use Lite'ning V1.5 and use Juicedefender for my Galaxy S II, it can work for 2 days for one charge

stock KF3 works great for me. You shouldn't need a special ROM to get decent battery time.
What is the display on time when the battery is getting close to empty? That tells a lot how you use the phone.

In the past i got a lot of Screen 65 %
Now android ios is taking 45 %....

Btw what is your best rom regarding power consuption ?

Must admit the battery on this SGS2 is a bit of a pain.
It takes all day to charge from 20% to FULL then about half a day to drain back to about 20%...
my Iphone 4 I have just sold, would charge up to full in a couple of hours and last all day.
I am doing pretty much the same things

Litening rom 1.5
Dont forget to remove all the junk stuff (hubs,etc.)
Use tegrak overclock and undervolt
result for me= after 12 hours with medium usage still 60% left

i will help save you some headache, the SGS2 will never get quite as good battery life as the iphone 4 does. you may be able to improve it, but it will never match the IP4 unfortunately. it sucks i know.

What are you charge it with, a solar panel on a cloudy day? I charge my in few hours from USB 2.0.
Check that you don't have anything on like GPS etc.

can confirm that
now i am on litening rom 2.1 and i got the felling battery life got a lot better.
im also using tegrak. just search in his thread to get some values that fit your phone.
aditionaly i am using juice defender wich is a great app. i have set it to enable (while in sleep) data every 30 min to sync mails and stuff. when you unlock your phone it always enables data automaticly. thats enough for me and battery lasts way longer. just give it a try...

I have the same issue, I'm runnin Kyrillo's 7.1 [email protected] 1.8 kernel

Same problem was faced by me also.
But luckily it was under warranty and my battery changed.
Now it is ok.

I'm not sure that this draining issue is battery's fault....Mine drains when screen is off, seems like kernel bug.

Screen off doesn't mean your battery is not draining.
May be you can try "green power" from market..

What kernel are you using.
As per my knowledge there is no kernel bug of battery draining in any latest kernels i.e. stock kernel, G3Mod kernel or Fugumod.

I too have the same problem.
Yesterday night, heavy Data Network usage drained my phone battery to 0% in exactly half an hour and it switched off.
10 minutes later I turned on the phone and had 80% battery.
I tried calibrating the battery and even train it down to 0% until it won't start but didn't help
Does anyone knows a good Samsung Centre in the city of Pune, Maharashtra?

yep.. i gave the seller's email above..

solved battery prob. i get new battery now it gives me backup in 3g mode upto 7-8 hour and 2g mode upto 13-14 hour with continuous usage.

whether battery calibration has to be done with 100% charge or not?? and after calibration what does it mean by full cycle? discharging it until it switches off??

Nexus 7 Battery Problem?

Hello, I have a Nexus 7 16Gb. I have been using it for about 20 days. Battery life was amazing. All of a sudden yesterday I noticed that i had a huge battery drain when using it. Installing Battery Calibration from the play store I saw that my maxumum charge was only 4 mV while it should be around 4200 mV. Is there a way to fix it or my battery is faulty. Have in mind that I have rooted it, and I have Codename Android rom, along with motley kernel v 1.1.1. I dont know if its a coincidence but just before I notice that drain I followed that guide. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=30864511#post30864511
Any ideas on how I should proceed?

There's no way it would run on 4 mV.
What app does it say is eating the battery in Settings -> Battery[/b[?

wow..well, apps do mess up sometimes.
and I dunno about everyone else, but to me the "Screen" looks like it's using a ton of battery. do you just leave the screen on all day doing nothing? the next runner up is only at 3%...seems a bit odd to me. Is the brightness all the way up or something?
Anyway if you reflash the stock rom and/or try a different ROM and you still have this problem, I think you will be able to RMA it.
did you get it thru Google Play?
Also, approx how long does the battery last on a full charge?

Well when the screen is about 35% brightness. And I didn't mean the screen is draining battery. I meant when I am actually using the tablet its draining battery faster. I already flashed another rom and its the same. 3mv when its unplagged and 4 mV when its near charged...Do you thing I should flash the official image? I bought it from Tesco in the UK. Will I have a problem changing it?
Edit: Is it possible that the voltage reading is correct and the way its displayed is wrong? maybe the kernel reads 4V, but the app displays it as 4 mV? Any kernel experts? Thanks!

I had a problem with my battery.. while using Percentage drop normally came after 7 to 8 mins while using no drop for me when I am turned off screen the percentage gets dropping any fix to this please help me ..I have changed kernels,lot of roms,and also calibrated the battery in my redmi note 7s

On which ROM? anyway, don't flash rom/kernel every 1 or 2 days, just stick to one rom you like and keep using that for a week in the hope of getting better battery life. Changing rom on daily basis is not good for your device and battery. Thx.
