OEM Parts? - Acer Iconia A500

I need to locate a new OEM back cover for an A500. Does anyone know if these are available for purchase? Acer direct only (if they will sell them) or are there other suppliers?
My google search has not yet located anything so thought another member may have had luck on this topic.
Thanks

If you got that, tell me you're willing to sell a part. I need the left side black panel (power button side).. broke mine.

Ebay Panel...?

Hi Folks,
Has anybody developed/developing an Ebay panel?
While going thru ebay and placing bids this morning, noticed that it'll be nice to have a mobile app to notify how much the current bidding is, and be able to place bid while on the go.
Did a little search on the forum before posting... but no result.
Thanks,

there's a seperate thread created by me to post ideas about panels... Its Called Panel suggestions.
Just a thought so it would be easy for anyone to find it then if were to be created.
up to you though...
After updating my X1, i noticed i had a new ebay app.
It's not a full panel but it does allow you do do everything quickly and easily.

It's a Vodafone (only) Java app and was included on R1AA (just a bit hidden).
Great for bidding, really crap for selling.
Great concept

Reviving an old HTC

Well, I'm about to buy a HTC HD2 (the t-mobile version) to repair it, (like a hobby thing), anyway, the phone seems to have the LCD broken, the digitizer seems ok (but as far as I know they aren't expensives, like U$S 15), So here are the questions:
I want to buy the LCD replacement, but I'm not sure which one (I know I have to buy the T-mobile version) but some seems to require soldering a connector, and others don't, also do I need special tools for opening the cellphone? Is there any guide on the internet that you could recommend me? and how much should I paid for the Lcd? any other advice? Thanks!
edit: I forgot the [Q] on the title.. can't edit it, sry I'm new
you can probably open it without using special tools, altough you will need T9 screw drive if im correct, here's a video of official assembly/disassembly video leaked by HTC. pocketnow[dot]com/hardware-1/official-htc-hd2-disassembly-assembly-training-videos-leaked
LCD and digitizer is glued together, theres a video there showing how to take it apart i think.
Good Luck!

Yeah sorry about that. I just spent like at least twenty minutes to get that link to work and for some reason it just would not so I just copied and pasted the URL. I have never had that problem....... Aghhhhhhh. Anyway sorry again.
Well, thanks for the warm welcome! and about the price to pay for the screen + digitalizer? 80 U$S is alright? (if, it can be told) and thanks again for the info, in a few months I'll post some before and after screens
Oh, and by the way, I don't have a T-Mobile Sim card, Will I be able to unlock the phone? thanks.

Figure this is next on the "to do" list since we finally have root with stock ROM/kernel and GPS/TV working.

okay, again, I'll spell this out. (Here is where I mentioned this to you previously --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=15042917&postcount=5 )
I don't post in here unless I've ALREADY searched, TRIED the applicable standard SGS2 actions, and failed, thus having to resort to posting a thread asking specifically about the SC02C phone.
So. The standard SGS2 unlocking tools do not work on the SC02C.
Has anyone unlocked their SC02C themselves, and if so, how did you do it?
Thanks!

NTT will unlock them, 3000 yen and change, no effect on monthly support according to comments here.
Its not a DIY unlock but its a lot cheaper (3 beers) that some things *cough*tethering*cough* that docomo rakes us over the coals for.
any luck on this? I know somebody had before and after shots of the locked and unlocked binaries. Probably not going to do much to reverse engineer 1 way hash, but it's something.
I believe I am this guinea pig... I had the first nv_data.bin 1 day before going to the NTT shop, and then I did the same thing after unlocking. I also asked the lady if she could give me the password just in case it locks itself up, and it is 18360815.
If any good soul out there (Odia? ChainFire? Somebody else?) can take a look at the hashes and update the SIM unlocking program, it would be amazing. Before unlocking I tried using the program from the market, but found neither the unlock or unfreeze code.
Good luck, guys!
has there been any progress or hope to unlock this phone for US carriers? I'm holding one in my hand that I'm only using as a game console.
What can I do with it after I root it? I would like to be able to retire the iphone and use this phone.
I tried to unlock at the docomo shop but they said I would need a japanese passport to unlock, and my new zealand passport is insufficient...
So anyone willing to help or know another way? I am leaving japan on tuesday evening so this is rather urgent, thank you.

I'm sad to read that you broke your phone screen. I don't think you can order replacement screens yet, as this phone is certainly not as widely sold as, say, an iPhone or a flagship phone from one of the big manufacturers, so your best bet is probably to send a message to Yota ans ask them how you can have your phone repaired.
Unfortunately, it will certainly imply sending the phone and waiting until they fix it...

Yes, sorry it's only the glass

Need a repair

If this is the wrong place to post this I apologize and please let me know where to post or kindly move the post.
Long and short no device protection plan at all. Looking for someone experienced from the community to replace the display. Looks like the glass isn't broken. It looks like the LCD/digitizer died. Phone fell (in case). Doesn't light up at all except for the flashlight but appears to turn on etc. power button is a bit mangle as well. If someone can give me an idea where to look or a ball park price I'd be grateful.
I've looked online and I do not have the skill to try this one myself.

Check this place out,https://www.replacebase.co.uk/ all oem parts and do most parts needed for the nexus 6p, i think its about 120 ish pound for a new lcd and miframe assembly.
hope that helps
Thanks for the tip. I'm not in the U.K. and I'm looking for someone who's done this kind of repair before. From what I've read and seen it's not an "easy" job.

Well, to start with you may get more helpful replies if you put your location and carrier in your profile, making them visible so people know where you're from rather than saying "thanks, but I'm not from the UK".
I meant no disrespect to anyone. I'm in the us (Pennsylvania). Phone was direct from Google/Huawei and was being used on att.
Thanks for suggesting I add that info. I didn't think about it.

It's cool.. none taken! There's no harm in putting your home town in your profile. There are a LOT of ppl on XDA and someone may know a good local repair shop in your immediate area. Best of luck.
Order the lcd and try the repair yourself, the hardest part is opening the thing, when mine broke, i ordered the lcd and a new housing which came with everything i needed, once it is opened the swapping of stuff over was the easy part, but as i was replacing the the lcd and housing, i didnt mind damaging the existing housing to get the thing apart, and when i was finished i had a brand new looking phone and only took around an hour or so to do it, youtube has some good videos on it. A new housing isnt expensive and you can learn a bit about your phone aswell. i made mine into a black and silver version. lol
