Requesting explanation mods - Galaxy S II General

Why was my ICS alpha 9 thread on the Original development topic deleted?
I havent done ANYTHING wrong, everything was opensource and thats why i released it. Every1 would be able build this so why is it closeD?

i am confused, aren`t you one of the devs that didn`t want it to be released too early yourself?

Well its pretty stable now so i see no point of not releasing it.

You have received a PM regarding this.

Will Hardcore release T14 kernel for JVT?

It seems t13 kernel works well on JVT.
Does anybody konw whether Hardcore will release the new kernel for JVT?
Due to my level is not enough and I try to send a private message to hardcoe, Following is his reply. F.U.R
Hi, thanks.
The K13 should work find with JVT as there is probably no change in the kernel between JVS and JVT. So, you don't need to wait for a T14 with JVT modules to use it with JVT.
In the future if I release another update, I might also update the modules from JVT. But I don't think there will be much (or any) difference.

Maybe, as u know, samsung has released the latest ROM JVT, and we're waitting for you update for this version.
Do u have plan to update the kernel for this?
Currently, we have to use t13 and it seems there is no problem for JVT.
Thanks for your hard work!
Why not ask it in the speedmod thread?

WTF? A whole new thread to ask something about another thread?
You shouldn't need permissions for anything but to post links. Try again, just click "Quote" on someone else's post in that thread.

If you have less than 10 posts you are not allowed to write in dev forums. So you can either start reasonable threads for example here or write 10 bulls**t posts to get permission.

Wasn't aware of that rule, I started on XDA posting on the general section so I guess I never experienced that problem when I started digging into dev threads.
Sorry, am i reading this right???? You HAVE a reply directly from hardcore regarding this question, and THEN you go and start a thread asking the same question?
Why?
Why? The answer is very simple: to make 10.000 useless posts....

[Sticky]New comers read this

For Those with non-unlockable bootloader ie. 11w29+( refer to this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1481630) are stuck with stock kernel therefore limited only in using cm7.
CM9 and above is not possible
thank you
nAa himself said that it's a near impossible
there is already a sticky thread for this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1481630
The main subject of this thread is to inform newcomers that no version of CM above 7 won't work (properly) on stock kernel.
it is nice that he made the thread...
but he put sticky in the topic thread so thought that he meant to request mods to make this a sticky thread so just said that one already exists...
nice work bro..

Impossible or not, a fully working cm9 or up is never gonna happen for stock.

Compile kernel ?

I wonder if anyone was able to compile or, just provide hints how to do it,
kernel from published sources https://github.com/MotorolaMobilityLLC/kernel-msm/tree/MMI-LPH23.116-18.1
I am able to compile with config
arch/arm64/configs/msm8994-perf_defconfig
but final boot.img does not boot, no matter what I do.

If I were you I would post in dev thread under original android development. They would be best to solve your issue.

Well, "Forum rules" in original android development clearly states that all questions must be posted in "Q&A" Forums

fingerprint support on custom roms status ?

The oneplus 6t released on 6 November, the device exist 4 months. I am wondering if custom rom developers managed to get the fingerprint working on their custom roms.
If you know something please share with us some information.

You are joking. In May they released the 6, not 6t. All your numbers are wrong.

Agreed. There is at least one active. Op can talk there.
You will know when it is functional in non stock roms. All of you noobs that keep asking are just pissing off the developers who are working on it. Instead of repeating over and over....how about thanking all the devs contributing to our device. Or try to contribute yourself? You should be banned for not searching.
Just follow the dev only thread to keep up to date on the status of it. You can also check ROM threads, especially Omni to keep up to date as well.
And you should definitely follow the advice of other users posting here in terms of searching before posting threads like this!
