http://androxyde.github.com/Flashtool/
Latest is 0.5.1.0?

Yes, now I do - thanks

Used it successfully on an Xperia Arc this morning. No problems.

[Q] Xperia X10 rooting

hiiii all.... i am new to this forum.
i want to root my xperia x10 and try cyanogen or Miui.. but can any one plz help me giving some information on the following:
-- can we get updates from sony after rooting your phone..????
-- Does the sony block access to their updates when you have rooted the phone???
PLzzz, some one help me ...and give me an answr
Yes, your rooted phone will still be able to receive updates from Sony.
to my surprise, my pc companion can even detect my x10 and says that i've got the latest firmware lol :O)
You can still use SEUS and pc companion with a custom rom too, have had to reflash generic 2.1.1 a few times now lol

xperia play, which rom is the best?

hey
im a new xperia play user and i got a few questions.
which rom for now is the best?
(please link me the instruction and rom file)
before im downloading a new rom to the device should i root it first?
my current spec:
model number R800i, android ver. 2.3.2
baseband 7x30A-AAABQMAZM-1290_14-10
KERNEL 2.6.32.9-PERF [email protected]#1
BUILD NUMBER 3.0.A.2.181
answer please?
The ROM scene seems slow and complicated at the moment for the XPlay. Different versions of the phone needing different ROM installations, Sony blocking this, that and the other. High chance to brick......
For this reason i went back to 2.3.3 (unrooted).
Apart from being able to overclock and get rid of a bit of bloatware, both of which are not really necessary, i don't see any reason just yet to install new ROMS (or even root for that matter).
I wont update to 2.3.4 until it becomes officially available either. (Few weeks yet i beleive).
I use the 4.0 firmware by flashing it using x10 flashtool in 2.91 beta
I use doomkernel aswell

thanks for the answer.
in that case i will wait too.

You do realize it's incredibly hard too really brick this phone right... You can all ways use flashtool to get out of it. And step by step directions is hard? Not to mention various guides helping noobs thanks to fma.

well, do you realize that this is a topic of 1 year and half ago?
Inviato dal mio Nexus 7 con Tapatalk 2
GB: NXT Lite
ICS: Xperia Play Express Rom ICS
JB: SlimBean for Xperia Play
NXT Lite is best for gaming. If you don't like stock SE UI, you can flash Gin2JellyBean theme.
There is no such thing.

Help to obtain Xperia Arc S firmware

If someone can tell me if it´s there a posibility to change my arc so the Emma recognises it as an LT18, maybe i can download the lt18 firmware.
Thanks
i think it would be the same firm, cause are the same specs only that have a 1.4 procesor, i don't see new features only for the S
It will probaly just be a standard 2.3.4 or whatever it is and we will get that in oct anyways

[for devs] Basebands are flashable via Sonys (!) OTA update

Hello my friends!
Maybe someone who owned an X10 remembers that we were never able to flash basebands without a PC or Mac, and even with our 2011 phones it is impossible to flash them using only the phone with xrec or cwm.
Now the interesting part. When upgrading my friends Neo V from 4.0.3 to 4.0.4 over the air, his baseband changed from 70 to 72.
So Sonys 'recovery' is able to do this process!
Isn't it possible to 'port' this function to our recoverys?
I just wanted to let some developers think about this
Thank you for reading and your attention.
If I posted in the wrong section or what I said is wrong/not useful, please delete this thread, thanks.
if it possible it would great!!!
Really?
Is it possible?
If it is, some dev will make it

It definitely changed from 70 to 72 without connecting to PC, everything happened over the air.

Yeah it changes the baseband, so i think it would be possible on cwm. Would be very nice
