Awesome! Thanks!
Don't know if you know the answer to this or not, but if you do, perhaps you can answer/confirm a couple of things:
1. What region is this update for? Or is it multi-CSC?
2a. I notice the presence of a .pit file, so I'm assuming that this is a full wipe update. Correct?
2b. Couldn't I just flash the new modem and firmware packages without the bootloader and partition files without issue/wipe?
3. New bootloader... How locked down is that? Can I flash without it? Will I still be able to use CWM recovery?
Thanks in advance!

Looks like a chinese FW, according to some translated pages in Google.

Well I guess that sorta answers part 1...
I suppose it may just be prudent to remain patient and wait for an official multi-CSC/region build.

I try this rom but there are no multi csc, only English and chinese keyboard. And there are a lot of chinese apps.
But she seems faster than the orange rom.

New Firmware I8700XXKC1 XXKB2

There is a new Firmware I8700XXKC1 XXKB2 available:

No thanks I got Official Nodo
Though would be interested to see if there are any firmware updates.
The screen flickering and slow rotation fixes
thank you but if it's nodo rom nobody is interesting except people who have developer account (chevron don't work on nodo...)
You're right...if you want to unlock your phone (and don't have an official dev account) this ROM cannot be used. I do wonder if there is any difference when you use the I8700XENJK1 ROM and officially update to NoDo...or when you use this ROM directly (radio version? Other differences?). Anyone care to test this ?
Its not that Id be the first one to test it if i had a way to back up all my game saves...Right i dont even have my phone dev unlocked cause that hape of crap chevron wont even work.

Same here. Only phone was updated. PDA and CSC remained the same.

You should feel lucky, you've been able to update the firmeware. Really, changing that CSC and PDA means that you are already at NODO and untill now there is no jailbreak for that. Besides there is a way to do with that CSC its just we don't want it yet, you know what I mean.
So this means firmware and radio is the same and only OS got updated?

No, its the other way around.
Lol this is just what the Omnia 7 needs... some more unknown firmware.
If your phone actually works i'd steer clear of flashing anything from Samsung... Maybe unfair but i'm smarting from having the dodgy bootloader.
I tried again and use this files:
Signed__Cetus_Europe_KB2_Phone.bin
Signed__Cetus_Europe_KC1_Eboot.eb0
Signed__Cetus_Europe_KC1_PDA.nb0
signed_CSC_Cetus_Europe_I8700DBTJK1.csc
Now PDA, Phone and CSC were updated:
PDA: I8700XXKC1
Phone: I8700XXKB2
CSC: I8700DBTJK1
What do the different parts do?
Eboot ist the bootloader.
What do the other 3 stand for?
If I flash to JK1 firmware, unlock with chevron and then update phone and eboot to KB2/KC1, will I have an unlocked NODO with latest firmware or only parts of the latest firmware?
Has anyone who flashed the new ROM noticed any differences yet?
EDIT:
Just read this on mobiletechworld:
- The capacitive buttons are now disabled if the screen is touched so that you can no longer accidentally exist an app/game while playing (this feature is also present in the latest Samsung Focus firmware).

I guess this will be in the PDA part.
Where did you get the last file? There are only three files in the zip. Oh i get it now
i just flashed my omnia :
the OS version after flashing is 7389 (i got 7392 before) , but as i connected it to zune, update notification showed up (post nodo, 7392, i am updating right now)
another difference i notice : different default lock screen picture.... yay ... less appealing tho..it is...a desert

So anyway to flash this and keep all the data?

Does it mean I do have to include the older JK1 CSC in order to flash PDA and Phone ? Will it update Phone only if I dont?
I really hope samsung addressed the reception issues (silence during calls) and stutter during audio playback. It is strange this newer firmware was not included with NODO delivered by MSFT, after all the rollout began two months later.
so if i flash this
Signed__Cetus_Europe_KB2_Phone.bin
Signed__Cetus_Europe_KC1_Eboot.eb0
Signed__Cetus_Europe_KC1_PDA.nb0
signed_CSC_Cetus_Europe_I8700DBTJK1.csc

no, as far as i understand it, the CSC goes hand in hand with the .bin, so leave the csc out and you will only update bootloader/radio and OS will remain unchanged.

My Experience of Upgrading Firmware to LA4

Upgrading firmware can be a daunting experience for beginners like me, with the fear of producing a "brick" always present. Fortunately, I was helped by the following excellent thread by a member (dr.ketan). The thread shows how to download of the desired LA4 ROM and the Odin program and how to do the upgrade..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997
Notice that the thread also provided a password (samfirmware.com) which is needed to unzip the LA4 ROM. Also note that in order to unzip the LA4 ROM you need to use 7-zip and not Winzip available from the following link:
http://www.7-zip.org/download.html
I have just successfully upgraded from the UK ROM (KK5) to the German ROM (LA4) so that I no longer need to keep checking on the Note for the UK ROM update. I've seen the new keyboard with the number row at the top which can be docked to the left or right side of the screen.
So thanks once again (I did hit his thanks button) to dr.ketan for your excellent thread.

Did you update your CSC code or did you have to factory reset at any point? I'm using a XEN Note and still on KK5 as well. I need to avoid a factory reset or wipe ROM since I have an app (Good) that's a pain to get re-authorized if I have to re-install it.

If you follow the update thread you will see there is no mention of CSC code. There was no factory reset and my Note looks unchanged except for the LA4 additions. I'm hoping that now I'm using the German ROM that I receive updates sooner.
By following these steps, did you:
1) loose root ?
2) loose adhoc network support (wpa_supplicant file changes) ?
Thanks Gaugerer. Could you please tell which options did you select in Odin? And which files should be selected in bootloader, pit, phone, csc, dump ? I am downloading LA4 rom with check fus downloader, so I would get the same files. Thanks again.

If you use the guide by dr.ketan then it explains what to do if you get one file or three files after you unzip the LA4 ROM. I unzipped the German LA4 ROM and only got one file. I did not use the fus downloader but just the dr.ketan procedure.
And what's you experience in terms of battery life and speed?

I also updated my device to LA4 following the instructions on the same thread as mentioned above.
just wanted to tell you that now you can change your CSC to germany (DBT) as well in order to get all future OTA updates for the german region.
in order to do so dial *#272*IMEI#
you will be given a CSC list, choose DBT.
note that this will factory reset you device, so a backup is adviced.
it wont delete you pics, songs, videos etc,
but it will reset the accounts and settings etc.
hope it helps

I know this site but there are no version I am looking for.
I guess that sign “OLE-xx” means the version number. Is it true?
If yes, on this site there is version: 1FF-olympus_emara-user-2.3.4-4.5.2A-74_OLE-26-release-keys-signed-NonEFIGSRetail-EU which I think is older than mine (mine was “OLE-27”).
Can you tell me if the version 1FF-olympus_emara-user-2.3.4-4.5.2A-74_OLE-31.1-release-keys-signed-NonEFIGSRetail-EU.sbf.gz will work OK with my phone which was sign “OLE-27”?
Is it international European version without branding? Is the mark “OLE-31” means that it is newer version than mine?
Thanks
My european Atrix had the ole 31 version when I bought it,and it was gb 2.34,unbranded.
Which version of android did yours have? I think ole 27 is like 2.33 or something...can anyone confirm?

Man, this is an european firmware and you got an european device, it should work but flashing with rds-lite is always a risk.
I flashed few times and i got problem for two reasons:
1) i forgot to wipe properly (I suggest to: fastboot -w, fastboot erase system, fastboot erase data, fastboot erase preinstall, fastboot erase cache)
2) I forgot to remove sd-card (f_k*d off) and sim-card (this had more luck)
Flash with battery fully charged and I think you'll enjoy.
live4nyy said:
- Fastboot wipe (optional)
- Remove sd card and sim card (necessary)
- Make sure you have proper drivers (necessary)
- Use the latest RSD (recommended)
- Make sure you have the correct (signed) SBF, best to use the build that the phone was last on officially (important)
- Double check everything (important)
- Put the phone into RSD mode (then plug it into the computer) and select the appropriate file in RSD and press "Start" (cross fingers)
Always use caution when using RSD. If you're not sure about something then find the answer FIRST.
Disclaimer: I am not responsible for any damage you might cause to your phone by following these instructions. This is a suggested overview and you should put in the proper amount of research and time to make sure you are doing things correctly.
With that said, depending on why you want to return to stock it may be preferable to use a "Fruitcake" as others have suggested, but I have successfully used RSD Lite to return my phone to stock in the past so it is "possible", though not recommended.
Good luck.

No. You can reinstall stock ROM and have the tablet working as before, but after installing anything custom the efuse will be blown. This means that it can always be detected that custom firmware/kernels/recovery/root/etc have at one point been installed. It also means security containers like Knox will refuse to operate.
I tried out the October (J) release for T815 which has been released for DBT (Germany) and a few other places. (link here). PDA version: T815XXU2AOJ4. Included CSCs: BTU (UK), DBT (Germany), ITV (Italy), XEF (France), XEO (Poland). Android 5.0.2. Previously I had the latest release for PHN (Netherlands), which is still T815XXU1AOG9.
Stagefright bug fixed according to Lookout. Not fixed according to Trustable.
New app icons
Still no multi-user
For DBT, there are four German bloatware apps included. All four can be uninstalled without root.
No Camera2 API
Dialer doesn't accept the secret codes like *#06#, *#0*#, *#1234#
Weird display behaviour (flashing, freezing) at very low battery percentages
Warning: you can not fully downgrade from this version "2" firmware to the version "1" firmwares we had until now! You can partially downgrade if you leave the bootloader and the modem as is (so downgrade only PDA and CSC).
This is great. Any chance that someone has the Stock ROM for the SM-T817V? Or does the firmware for the T815 work on this device?
The October T815XXU2AOJ4 version is now also out for T815 in the Netherlands (PHN), which is bloatfree. No other CSCs included. Link here. The dialer accepts the secret codes like "*#1234#" again. Otherwise the experience is the same. Again, you can't downgrade from this version.
Can the 5.1.1 update be flashed on any SM-T810?
I purchased one in Australia and when I tried to follow the instructions and flash with ODIN I get an error SW REV CHECK FAIL DEVICE when using 5.1.1_T810XXU1BOH7_T810XAR1BOH7_XAR.zip
I had and un-rooted device, which just received an update (11/03) to version LMY47X.T710XXU2BOJ1. I ended up rooting and flashing TWRP on it, but I'm having an issue writing to my external SD card. Is there something I can flash to fix this?
Thanks

The T810XXU1BOH7 firmware is very old (H = August I think). Apparently for your device it constitutes a downgrade, which it doesn't allow. Download the most recent firmware to flash. If e.g. you currently have firmware with a "2A" (5.0.2) on your device, you can't flash this "1B" (5.1.1) firmware even though it seems like an upgrade of android, because it is a downgrade of the bootloader. Download firmware with "2B" (5.1.1) in the name and I think it may work.
I don't have the T810, but T815 which is still stuck at 5.0.2...
Is it possible to flash a T710 firmware onto a T715 device? I don't need LTE at all so I don't mind losing it (I have no SIM). I just want to get faster updates because I need multi-user support from 5.1.1.

[F8331] Change stock firmware for a better LTE signal

Hi everybody,
I'm new here, I have bought my first sony (used) but I notice that the LTE signal is so poor specially indoor. The seller hasn't saw me that the firmware is an UK fw also I live in italy, infact, after a little research, I noticed that there is a carrier's app called EE and the fw version installed is of EE carrier's. The phone is sim unlock. There isn't root and I haven't unlook the bootloader.
My questions are:
- Can I change the stock uk firmware putting in an Italian stock firmware?
- Can I change it without root and without unlook the bootloader?
- How?
- Is there a guide that I can follow?
- Can I change the CSC for preserve the ota upgrade? How? I'd like to change fw preserving OTA update.
I don't wanna unlock the bootloader and root the phone cause I don't want lose the DRM licenses (widevine specially). I'm not interested to rooting or make any modding.
I'd like to put a stock room without bloat apps and with a strong lte signal.
Here the Info about the phone:
F8331

I think it should be possible to just Flash another Regions Firmware via Androxydes Flashtool.
No need for unlock as long as u have any offical fw (XperiFirm comes with Flashtool and downloads offical files)
But I may be wrong tho, this just came to my mind in the first moment

Thanks you LoaderFabi for the suggest, so I will waiting for a confirmation about that.
Meanwhile can y tell me a link to a guide and download the tool?
Anyway, thanks again ?
You can flash any region's firmware without unlocking the bootloader. You need Xperifirm to download the firmware, and Flashtool to flash it.

Ok, and about the OTA's update? Will it be automatically? Or do I have something about? And how?
Can you link me a guide to flash the fw and, eventually, to do something about OTA's update?
Thanks

Since it's an official firmware, you always get updates OTA (i think XZ will no longer get updates but no need to worry). I didn't see any guide to flash, i'll probably today write a guide to flash firmwares.
