Bricked Vibrant - Vibrant General

I flashed CM7 last night and i didn't like it so i went into recovery and tried to flash another rom. However, it says that installation aborted and can't really flash anything. I then went into reboot and now, my phone is stuck on the Vibrant screen. I can't go into recovery at all. Even if i press the power button and the volume keys all together, it just turns off and goes back to the vibrant screen again. Battery pull doesn't do anything. help.

2 - DOWNLOAD 3 FILES
Download ODIN (below). It does not work on Macs. You will need Heimdall and can be found HERE << LINK.

Move all files to Desktop.
- Mount your phone and move the rom to the internal (sdcard/ ) & the update.zip file (if needed)
- Power down the phone, or pull the battery.
3 - DOWNLOAD MODE
*NOTE - IMPORTANT*
On my PC, ODIN will NOT work when my camcorder is plugged in.
If you notice ODIN not working, you may pull the battery if it has not started/hung (again, at YOUR risk, not my fault/responsibility). Remove any USB devices just in case if you are worried about it, I have to.
Quote
1- Open ODIN on your PC. (DO NOT PRESS/SELECT ANYTHING IN ODIN!)
2- Plug in the USB Cable to PC
(preferably the one that came with your phone *My N1 cable doesn't work??*)
3- Power down Phone if you had not already.
4- Remove the battery.
5- Plug USB into Phone.
6- Hold down BOTH volume buttons and while holding both, insert the battery.
7- Two to three seconds later your phone will be in Download Mode.
Be mindful to not remove connection while ODIN is running.
** ALT METHOD
You can also just power down the phone, open ODIN, load the pit and tar, connect USB to pc, hold both volume buttons and connect USB to phone. This is how I do it. Some are not able to do this so the above instructions were used just in case. **
4 - ODIN

Go back to ODIN on your PC. Should be a yellow box under ID COM, Something like COM 5. If not, likely a problem with your drivers, see this THREAD FOR DRIVERS that I created. Should help. If you were on Cyanogen or MIUI you may need the Nexus S Drivers, Google them.
Click the PIT button, Select the PIT file from desktop
Click the PDA button, select the TAR file
** Re-partition is checked now in ODIN - THIS IS APPROPRIATE!! **
Click Start. Unless ODIN hangs, you should see a progress bar start soon after. The process takes a few minutes and you told ODIN to reboot once done.... so... when your phone boots up, you are on stock JFD.
IF ODIN HANGS ON YOU:
- Are you using my files (all 3 of them?)
- Did you check the MD5 using Hashtab (LINK)?
- Are you using the cable that came with your phone?
- Have you tried other USB ports on you PC?

Need help with possible brick

After several attempts trying to apply Lag Fix, my phone ended up doing endless boot loops and due to my ROMs being on the SD Card instead of Internal SD, I could not flash it and seem to not have access to somehow get the ROM file from External to Internal SD. I then tried to restore the Stock ROM through Odin and it failed miserably, with several stalls that eventually led to the screen shown below. This screen stays on when I press the power button and nothing else seems to work. Removing SIM and SD Cards also did nothing.

I got it past that by plugging in the USB cable and getting into download mode with Power/Vol+/-. However, I can not get anything to flash via ODIN once connected. ODIN does recognize the device on port 6 but once I select the stock files nothing appears to happen from there. ODIN just sits there. I went on a walk at the boardwalk to see if I just needed to give it more time but it was on the same screen. If I flash a kernal it sits at zImage, and if I flash a ROM it sits at cache.rfs

if you can get to download mode just keep trying to flash with odin. I think some mentioned loading the files before you plug in the usb cable.
I am in download but still no progress. I've tried a lot of times and it just sticks at cache.rfs. I think its a total brick. ODIN **** out on my when I was flashing JAC's kernal. Can't get anything since then....

B
OMG I finally got it. I had to leave ODIN open after it stuck at file analysis. I then took out the battery of the phone and put it back into download mode. I click start in ODIN and thankfully... she's flashing back to stock 2.1. I had tried a million different ways... ODIN is not exceptionally stable. No bueno. I think I'm going to keep the stock Kernal cause this was scary... lol.

Why the hell are you using the pit file and re-partition? Who even said that was neccessary?

Uh oh! Won't help you now, but all the guides I've ever read say that you should almost *never* need to check the re-partition option, and if you think you do, go back and triple-check.
EDIT: Bear in mind I'm no expert, so you might wanna ignore this, but all I can think of suggesting is perhaps flashing a ROM which *does* need the re-partition option, like in http://androidflip.com/install-android-234-gingerbread-update-samsung-galaxy-2/
That said, this is assuming your phone isn't so screwed that you can't get it to download another ROM...
this pic is in stock ROM xxxkg3 !!
i didnt check re-part while flashing litening roms !
So what state is it currently in? Is it hanging on boot up, can you still get to the download option on the phone (vol-down, home key, and power key)?
firmware upgrade encountered an issue . please select recovery mode in kies & try again !!
my phone stoped in this situation ! what is this ? in kies - recovery mode it wanna
a recovery code ! where can i get this damn code to recover my phone to health ??
can go to downloading mode but i cant go to recovery mode to wipe cache !!
plug the phone into pc and open kies, and there is an option for "emergency firmware recovery" option in the later versions.
have you tried to flash an older rom (without re-partition or pit!!) via Odin?
Just flash a stock rom in while in download mode (as you say you can boot into it with voldown-home-power combo), then after the reboot go to recovery and factory reset.
After that all should be safe.
You might want to try another version with repartitioning to get back properly.
I9100XXKG1 (https://hotfile.com/dl/123505846/5faca77/I9100XXKG1.rar.html) downloaded from samfirmware should work, never failed for me.
Sidenote: with the stock roms (3 files + .pit file) that contain the user_low_ship it is rather save to repartition (although there are a very few roms that don't work/flash properly but reflashing another rom fixed it), did that myself over 10 times to get full performance back again while flashing to often between several custom roms.
Just keep in mind, if you still can get to the download mode it isn't fully bricked, but just soft-bricked, and that last one can be fixed
Don't forget to reboot phone or pull battery. Once a flash fails you need to restart phone and put back into download mode. Otherwise it will not accept any flashes and keep failing. Remove repartition check as well

Install SAMSUNG KIES AND USB Drivers for Samsung Galaxy Note to connect the Android device with the computer.
Enable USB Debugging Mode on phone to connect it with the computer.
[Navigate to Settings>> About phone>> tap Build number seven times. A pop up will appear, that reads, ‘You are now a developer.’ Go back to the Developer options and check USB debugging and click OK.]
As the tutorial is likely to wipe out all data of the phone, create a backup. If the device is having any custom recoveries such as CWM/TWRP then backup data using the same.
If the Android phone powers off due to lack of battery while the installation process, it could damage the device. Therefore, the Note 4 should have charge above 80% battery charge.

I presume by Odin 10.00 you mean 3.10? If so, try DL 3.09 and use that - it's what I have used all along with my Note 3. Odin is not necessarily 'latest is best' in versions.
Next, turn phone OFF and even remove battery for 10 secs or so, then start Odin and then start phone into Download mode and THEN connect it to PC - do you get the blue OK in Odin? Do you get an 'Added' in the action box?
Which firmware are you trying to flash?
Something else to try is to turn phone off, wait a bit, start using the download mode keys but press Vol DOWN to start instead of Vol UP to go into DL - sometimes lets the phone boot.

i follow this guy gadgetgaz
It's really easy mate, you're just nervous. This is what I did last week and it worked although you do this at your own risk.
First thing - download the EE EVR ROM from Sam Mobile HERE It takes ages on the free download - best to leave it overnight.
Download and install odin from HERE
Unzip the file you downloaded from Sam Mobile into 5 files. They will each start with BL, AP, CP, CSC, HOME_CSC.
Ignore Home_CSC and load each of the other files into the boxes in Odin marked BL AP CP and CSC.
Don't make any other changes in Odin.
Make a backup of any files you need to keep on your phone because this WILL factory reset your phone.
Put your phone into download mode. From turned off, press and hold vol down, home button and power on until it boots into a blue screen with a Warning sign (don't let go of the buttons until your get the blue screen). Then press vol up as it says on screen to enter download mode. Your phone will say Downloading.....
Plug it into your PC using a standard USB cable.
Wait for Odin to say Added!!! in the log screen on the left.
Then press start in Odin.
When you get a success message reboot the phone and go through the setup as normal. You'll find WIFI calling under Applications/Phone if it worked.
i did it all and i have no re-partition file ??

i think you downloaded the wrong file, you want g935f not g930f
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-G935F/EVR/
gaz's link took you straight to the correct file, so don't know how you ended up with g930 file
well seen
im getting a 502 bad gateway on sammobile download at moment? but when you get the right file, just follow the procedure again and all should be sweet
page refreshed
