Unlocked my phone with omnius

Im a little confused right now. I have unlocked my phone with omnius using 1 android unlock license and it accept any simcard, but does that mean I also unlocked my bootloader? Or do I have to follow the steps how to unlock bootloader?
Can I still update via pc companion?

Yes to both, you now have your bootloader unlocked and also you can use SEUS to update but really who want to use that crap from SE if we have flashtool?

You now have a sim-free phone that will accept any SIM card. I don't think you have an unlocked bootloader (I could be wrong?). To do that, you need to follow the instructions here.

No matter you want it really bad, dont unlock your bootloader, unless you know what are you doing is right.
Go to development section anyway.

I agree with you. Why do you need to unlock it?

I'm guessing he means "Unlock" as in SIM Card wise, Not pass codes and lock screens
Like, so he can change to another SIM without having to pay unlock fee's.

Dont think there has to be 'many tutorials' to unlock carrier network. Sounds like a locked screen/password issue

Will not work on 9001. The only way to unlock it is to actually buy the code.
You can contact the dev of this app, he may can help you. There is always a way to unlock the device..

i also have unlocked it with omnius.
when u will do this, also unlock bootloader with it.
after that you alway need the omnius client to flash custom kernel, flashtool will never work again.
You only need to buy a "single android unlock licence"
Or phone your network provider and ask them to unlock it, and you can still use flashtool to do stuff

If you can unlock your bootloader just do it and then flash one of the roms we have available in our community.
If by any chance a message about "insert sim lock code" appears on boot just ignore it and then disable it on the network settings of your X8.
Voilá, "unlocked" at no cost.

CM7 or vanilla android

Is there a CM7 or vanilla android rom for locked bootloaders?

cm7 no, and that'll never happen. Any custom rom that requires a different kernel will not work on a locked bootloader. That being said, there are some roms that will work on locked bootloaders but are few and far between. I'd suggest using the search button
Quit being a wimp and unlock your bootloader. You won't regret it.

Haha, lets try not to call anyone a wimp!
The best rom on a locked bootloader currently has the be Gin2JellyBean. It should be on the first page on the development section.
I want to unlock it but I dont have a credit card to use omnius

Yea but that only works if it came from the factory as being able to unlock it, you need to check in your service menu if it says bootloader unlock allowed: yes, if it says no then its pay only
