I have a htc surround and install a custom rom for "mango mondrian v2", then I wanted to install the rom "titan 7720 by Ansar" and only charge up to 6% and gave me an error, disconnect the phone and did not catch on new and not to do.
sorry for my English because I am just learning
Its worth a try
you can try to start the phone while holding the power and camera button until you see an image of the phone requesting to be connected to computer once you connect zune should launch and try to restore the device. This should bring you back to the last backup (if you ever made one) that zune took.
If this does not work I would charge the device completely from teh power adapter, and try to flash the stock rom for it you can find it in the surround forums.
I tried but still does not turn
I charged the battery to 100% but the computer did not detect

Hi,
I tried to USPL my P4350 (SPL & IPL 4.xx.xxxx) in order to update to WM6.1, using Herald-USPL-Beta3. Everything went OK until ROMUpdateUtility kicked in, and gave me an error: FILE IN USE.
So I started the ROMUpdateUtility again, with the screen still blank, and suddenly the P4350 turned off. I'm 100% sure the battery was at least 90% full during USPL'ing, so why it turned off; I have no idea.
Problem is: I can't power up the device anymore. No LED's, even when attaching it to the power adapter.
Any tips on how to fix this, or is it fair to say my device is now really DEAD?
Thanks!
Some suggestions of a Junior Member.
1st. Try a soft reset. Didn't work? Go to Step 2
2nd. Try a hard reset. Didn't work? Go to Step 3
3rd. Pull the battery off. Put it again. Try to turn it on. Didn't work? Go to Step 4
4rd. Wait replies from advanced user. End.
Thank you for replying
However none of the options you mentioned worked out.
I'm stuck waiting for some expert guidance here
Hi, it's been a while, but today I finally made -sure hope so- some progress..
I purchased a HTC Touch HD two weeks ago, from which I plugged in the power adaptor to see what my P4350 would do. (specs are the same btw as the P4350 power adaptor; output 5V, 1A) On this attempt however, the left LED on the front of the device turned RED for about 5 seconds before turning off again. I plugged in the adaptor again, and it lit up RED again. However, the device did not respond to an attempt to power it up.
What does this mean? Is it not dead after all?
Any tips on what to do?
Thanks again.
Wow man, I'm getting somewhere now!
I got the device powered on holding the RESET+POWER+CAMERA and it now hangs on the IPL + SPL screen.
What is very strange is the following:
IPL 1.08.0001
SPL 1.08.0001
as to where these were above 4.xx.xxxx before I did the USPL'ing. I am a 100% sure.. (not so sure anymore now to be honest.. )
The screen displays USB in the left bottom corner, because it is connected to the USB power supply.
I'm afraid to turn it off because it might not turn on again...
Where do I go from here?
Well, I finally got my P4350 to work again
I noticed I was able to start into bootloader mode using CAMERA+RESET, unlike previous attempts to do so. I don't know what caused the device to boot after 6 weeks, but I guess attaching the Touch HD power adapter did the trick.
At first I followed the instructions at topic "Goldcard for Herald", but somehow I wasn't able to make the MicroSD card bootable using my HTC Touch HD for the formatting.
Instead I went to page 5 of the topic and discovered this comment by leptir79, who stated the creation of the Goldcard could easily be done from a DOS-prompt in Windows, with the MicroSD card in the SD-cardreader on a PC or notebook. And this is what did the trick for me:
- I put the SD-card in my notebook cardreader (drive W: ), opened a DOS-prompt, and ran the following command to format the SD-card with the correct priviliges: FORMAT w: /FS:FAT32 /A:4096
- After that I copied heradiag.nbh to the blank MicroSD card to see if my P4350 would boot from the MicroSD card. And it did. From this tool I ran some diagnostics tools to see whether my device was fully functioning, and I got no errors. I noticed that among the diagnostics tools there was a tool to Flash the device with a new ROM
- So I downloaded HTC_P4350_WWE_4.17.405.2_4.1.13.44_02.94.90_Ship.exe, extracted RUU_signed.nbh to the root of my MicroSD card (along with heradiag.nbh), and renamed RUU_signed.nbh to heraimg.nbh.
- I started the P4350 into bootloader mode, booting from the MicroSD card. Heradiag.nbh booted up, and I chose to use the Flash ROM utility that came with heradiag. The device automatically found heraimg.nbh, and started the flashing procedure for my device. After confirming, the flashing started.
After a few minutes my P4350 rebooted, and my device is now running Windows Mobile 6.0. Everything seems to work just fine now.
So, if you don't have a second (working) WM device, but do have an cardreader on your PC or notebook, this really is the best option to create the Goldcard imho.. (even if you do have another WM-phone, really, try this procedure first before installing ActivePerl and all the perl-scripts)
Thanks everyone for all the procedures and help. You all did a great job, but most credits in this case go out to leptir79 who gave me the breakthrough in getting my -left for dead- device to work again.
This is a gold trick thats what i'm waiting for...
I have my heralds bricked since 2 months ago... Yup....really bricked...means cant do bootloader mode or hard reseting on device...
And already sent it to the HTC care center, and they ask for mainboard replacing...which is too expensive for me...400US...later cancelling it...
Searching out this forum, and didn't find a solution to reprogramming OMAP via JTAG...then my research suspended...
Untill I found this...
All I need...just to enter to the bootloader...powering up the brick
Can't wait to try this method @home...ASAP...
For now...just looking for 5V, 1A Charger first....
TIA frummel...

Hello all i have bought a new HTC HD2 phone 3 weeks ago and my friend put a new rom on it for me.
Everything was working fine till i put some foto's and music on the storage card, and i wanted to look and listen to them put suddenly i had nothing else on the storage card, everything was deleted.
And everytime when i turn my phone on i got a popup menu saying that i have to format the storage card, and my pc does not recconize anymore the disc drive, before it worked always perfectly.
So i formatted the starage card but the problem still exists.
I am realy very sad now and this is my last helpline, so i hope somebody can help me here with my problem.

Have you tried to re-install the rom or install another?
Can transfer to phone via blue tooth or network considering your SD card isn't working.
try a hard reset mate might do the trick, it will just reset the phone to when the ROM was first put on the phone, restart the device before it boots push down volume up & down at the same time just follow instructions
i also got this problem with my memory card
phone issue?
i just put a android 2.33 rom on my hd2 and the phone wont work? is there something i can do? please advise.

Try bringing up MAGLDR by turn your HD2 off and then turn it back on but keep the power(end) button down and MAGLDR will come up then use hour volume up and down button to to scroll through the options. There is a recovery option select it and it will do what is equal to a hard reset of the Andriod on your phone. If this does not work try reflashing the Andriod ROM if still no Chang try another Andriod ROM. If still no dice out your Pbone into bootloader by turning it off and then teurning it back on but hold the volume down button when you tap the power button and keep holing it down until bootloader comes up once it is up plug your USB ito the computer and phone and wait until serial changes to USB in the white bar at the bottom of the screen and then flash a custom Windows Mobile ROM to your HD2. I say custom cause a official rom will wipe MAGLDR from your phone. Do not flash a official rom, especially don't flash a official ROM from your SD card as it will take wipe MAGLDR and revert your HSPL to SPL and then you will be back to complete stick and square one.

Hi I am a noob. . however I recently acquired the HTC HD2 (TMOUS) and started flashing away. . .everything went well up until I recently used a bad cable that shorted out my phones ability to sync or even charge. . .
I have already received a replacement device from TMO, however I would like to remove HSPL2 from the damaged phone before returning it. I have tried holding the vol button while booting in bootloader (with the leoimg.nbh located on the root dir of my sdcard with no luck. . .
everytime i boot up with the bootloader the only instructions i get returns it to factory default of the last cooked rom I recently installed
Please help.

That sounds like you must be holding in both volume up and down - ie a hard reset. Switch off, hold in only volume down and switch the phone on. If that's not the problem, try using another sd card, formatted to FAT32.

What did you do right before it was dead?
Did you change the Radio?
Might be battery related too.
Try to find someone else with an HD2 and swap the battery to try.

You cant, you've bricked it. Only way is to JTAG or replace board as far as I know.

If you have flashed a EU/Asian Radio/stock ROM on a T-Mous device, than it's broken.

If you can get it into bootloader than it is not bricked. It sort of sounds like you might have a dead battery. Try to let it charge are maybe get an external charger for it.
Now as for your problem with installing a ROM you can flash either by USB and computer or via SD card. If you use the USB and computer method then out your phone into bootloader and connect it to the computer via USB cable and wait for Serial in the white bar of the bootloader screen to change to USB and then flash the ROM.
If you want to use the SD card method put your SD card into a micro SD card reader and plug it into your computer. If the ROM you downloaded is a .exe then change it to .zip and then right click and select viewl or explore wich ever one it shows. Find the .nbh file and rename it to leoimg.nbh and copy it to the SD card and insert the SD card into your phone. Put your phone into bootloader but hold the volume down button down until you see searching on your phone screen then release the volume down button. The ROM will then flash.

Check your battery pins in your HD2 to make sure that one or more of them are not slightly bend more than it should be. If none don't appear to be bend if possible compare them to another HD2 to make sure the are in the proper positions. If they are then you might have an internal hardware problem. But don't just take my word for thag cause I am no expert when it
comes to the hardware side of the HD2.
Edit: I just read your other post here is a link to the thread on flashing via SD card. Read the first post for detailed instructions on flashing via SD card
heey thanks man i'll try that as soon as i get from work and see if that helps!

Thanks for that tip, it solved my problem: the middle pin wasn't in proper position.
So I kinda new here and searched for similar threads with the same problems as i got , so far no success .
Heres all my story :
I have got HTC HD2 not long and I have installed NAND ROM Andriod on it ( it was installed from the SD card )
Phone worked great and evrything was nice till yesterday when my phone touch screen had stopped working so i decided to install the same OS ( Windows Mobile 6.5 ) that i recived it with , to exchange for new HD2
So i have tired to install WM6.5 , here what i have done :
I have downloaded this rom : World Wide English (WWE) 1.66.405.2
from here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=623283
I turend the phone off and opened the Bootloader screen , connected the USB cable and run the .exe rom file
It have finished installing and and phone turned off after that i pluged off the cable and tried to turn the phone on but it dont turn on at all even bootloader screen dont turn on , cant do anything with it
as i understood its briked now ? or its not?
looks like i forgot to ActiveSync before I started instaling the ROM
and now phone dont do anyhing at all
Here's what i had before i tried to install MW6.5 back :
In bootloader screen : PB81100 HX-BC
SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE
0x05
CotullaHSPL 0x30
R 2.15.50.14
and also installed DFT MAGLDR Bootloader at the end
and then loaded some NAND ROM from the forum
So now my phone birked? if no is there any way to fix it?
Do i still got Garenty on it and i can exchange it ( as my touch screen is not working and now phone dont even start )
What should i do pelase help me
Is it a tmous hd2? (Red end key green send key) if yes then yes its bricked, the radio in that non-tmous stock rom killed it. JTAG or new mainboard needed.
If no, check the battery pins.

Is it able to do off-mode charging? if so, leave it to charge and then take battery out, put it back in and try going into bootloader mode again.

I dont see the red light as it need to be when it charging
but let me try im 99% sure bootloader wont satart
Hmmm, so its gotta be either a power issue, a random death,(hd2s are starting to age, and they've never been totally robust hardware wise) or a flash that went so wrong it fried the firmware totally.(I'm guessing without rereading your previous posts that the drivers the PC tries to find are "Qualcomm cdma blahblah" or something similar? Often seen when a phone needs a jtag)
Only suggestions I can offer are
Battery out, USB in and on wall charger, and then put battery in,
take a really good look at the battery pins,
perhaps take a voltmeter to the battery
try another battery, try your battery in another hd2,
