I love 4.3" screens like the desire hd has and my hd7. I love ther 4g capibilities my g2 has. In the US they don't sell desire hds. I found a guy on craigslist who's willing to trade me his desire hd plus 150 cash for my hd7 and g2? It wouldn't be that big off a deal but it'll run edge because it doesn't have US 3g. Is it worth it, or can I just get a hd2 and it'll be the same thing.

Why not just get the mytouch 4g instead? Apart from screen size and MT4 has FF Camera its exactly the same and at least you will get US 3g.
We all must agree the mt4g is the ugliest phone other then the htc magic

trying to be a bit cheeky here. i just broke the screen on my beloved euro hd2. So i was gonna get an american friend to buy and send me a hd2. (i live in england btw)
However, i then remembered the evo 4g! Not just coz of that great youtube classic.
So do you think i should take the leap and buy an evo or stick with the hd2?
appreciate any thoughts.
Unless you have a CDMA carrier available in Europe that will allow you to activate the phone on their network, I think it's the HD2 for you.

If you can get it activated I'd definitely go with EVO

wow glad i asked. i had never heard of cdma. i just assumed all your phones were gsm as well. so the evo is only sold with cdma? if this is the case then i am buggered and will have to revert back to the hd2.

Get the htc inspire 4g. That would work. Its the GSM version of the EVO minus the ffc

No anyone who likes android and has used the sgs 2 knows that the sgs 2 offers fluidity, smoothness and performance incomparable to any android device out now. The only factor I see swaying a sgs 2 owner is a craving for sense.

So i thought i had f**ked my phone after dropping it in the toilet cause it wouldn't turn on. so I call Tmobile and they ship out a Mytouch 4g slide. but i need to send in my old Mytouch and they said that if they found out my phone isn't broken I'm in trouble. So you will never see this question anywhere but is there a zip I can flash that will like totally Brick my phone. like all the way....seriously!!!!

take a "PD15IMG.zip" file from another HTC device, the Sensation for example, rename it to PD151IMG.zip and flash via bootloader. not sure if that works...
or, download stock PD15IMG.zip for the MT4G, flash via bootloader, and while it's updating, pull the battery, i heard that works.
tell me how it goes
i believe it's PD15IMG.zip... as in one five, not one five one...
Try flashing a custom rom for other phones like samsung and huawei

Getting the Slide is an option. They are still sending out regular replacement 4G's. I've got one out for delivery to me today.
But you can opt to take a Slide instead. (Not the Sensation though...nooooo...couldn't have that.) Must mean the Slide sales aren't stellar next to the Sensation sales.
Or, you know, you could tell them the truth.
If I tell them I just wanna swap my 4g for a slide will they do it

Well the 4G slide is great just one thing I miss about the mytouch 4G are the great developers. On 4G slide forum, we have undeadk9 as I believe our only true devloper but there are some other rods that I'm a little skeptical about. LOL we don't even have a kernel... Not that I would want it overclock this beast anyway

Did they give you the slide for free? Or did you have to pay the deductible?
And also, what will T-Mobile accept as warrantable? I have the so called "bad screen"

If you call with a bad screen you will get another mytouch but what I did was I bricked my phone (on purpose) then said that one day my phone won't turn on or charge. Then they offered me a slide. For free. Everything was free but if you want overnight shipping. Cough up some mula
