Bravo2.2 has led notification now, gallery led tells you if there is sms or missed call. No more power button pressing needed to check on them. Notification need to be cleared manually, but, it is so often we are using "home" key, that will turn led off, so, it is not a big deal. And it is de-activated when phone is charging or battery level is 15% below.

I think any will do. I flashed CBW. Not sure about the tv out only with Singapore sbf theory with WanHU. Haven't tried it. If you use tv out then you might want to try the singapore. Not even sure if it works with Bravo.

Holy Supercharger Batman! Lol. It works amazingly fast with the A.O.R. version of supercharger! Don't know why I didn't try it this way long time ago. Just unzip the file to root of sdcard and reboot into O.R. then select setting 1. I think you should wipe dalvik first.
***I'm sure any of the settings work great! I will have to try them all!
***Well I scored my highest Bravo score at 901 with the supercharger and the boot5.img. It runs like it is 1600 though lol. It does everything I need it to do and plays all the games no problem so good enough for me!

BRAVO FTW!!!!

Big difference, it is steady fast and strong feeling, pages turn with force! lol. I did change animations in advance settings too but the supercharger is a must have. I also use chainfire 3d and fjfalcon's boot5.img. I am pretty sure my problems before were due to installing busybox. I'm also using the Black Android theme. Here is my highest benchmark test
All you do is unzip the Supercharger A.O.R. version to the root of sdcard and reboot into recovery then pick a supercharger setting.
***EDIT
Don't let the seemingly low score fool ya, it is superfast and plays Samurai and whatever else with no issues.
***Milestone Overclock setting is sting now too, I used to run Khal's ROM's overclocked at 1200 constant with no issues, I had Bravo at 1100 and just changed it to 1200 and my first benchmark score was 946

I know we can make android smoother by editing egl.cfg, but "superfast" you mention maybe is far beyond that. please give me the link of the supercharger, the one you gave me is V6, it is a script file only.

Here is the A.O.R. version View attachment V6_SuperCharger-AOR(1).zip and the link, you have to scroll to the bottom of the post to find it. It is V6 the V8 isn't complete yet I think most everyone uses the V6. And it may not be "superfast" to you but it is much faster and more stable.

Overclock to 1200Mhz, wow, ti's cpu has much margin left. Have you test batterylife yet? like, if you just let your phone standby, very rare use it, how long a cycle is?
CM7 is use overclock as default, custom rom mostly do it also, actually I did not use the phone for games often. I think after overclock and other tweak, your phone must very very fast now.

Yeah last week it was on mostly standby overclocked at 1000mhz and lasted 4 days. Also I feel that when overclocking My battery life doesn't change much. I use setcpu with it and set profiles for if it overheats and when the battery gets to about 30. I ran my XT at 1200 steady for about 6months running Khalpowers ROM's with no issues. But don't anyone take my advice as all phones are different! I take no responsibility if your phone melts in your hands! Lmao. My battery is at 70 now from last full charge about 2pm yesterday and it is only drained that much because of running Quadrant tests. it is 6:45am now.

[ROM][FROYO] Tayutama's 1.0.3 Lite Rom/Setiron's 1.2.6 Kernel with Extras

Hey guys, over the course of using my captivate there have been a few things I've come to appreciate but it seems I haven't found a rom yet to offer them all. One thing I like is touchwiz. I love the lockscreen and the brightness adjustment on the notification bar most. Next would be the android keyboard, I'm always hitting the damn period button on the samsung one... I also like having a battery with the percentage displayed. Backlight notification is useful too and lastly I like having an automatically alphabetized launcher like the stock touchwiz launcher. Oh and HSUPA is a must, obviously.
So I started with Tayutama's Rom. I then added the stock android keyboard and replaced the launcher with adw launcher because for the life of me I could not find a way to automatically alphabetize the launcher apps with Tayutama's launcher. Plus I just think adw looks cleaner. I also replaced the kernel with Setiron's optimized kernel, threw in setCPU, voltage control and BLN apps to control some of the kernel's features and lastly I replaced the JPM modem with JG8.
You may be wondering why I chose JG8 for the modem. Well read here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=816271
That explains how starting on JG8 produces a more reliable 850 band connection. I recommend flashing JPM or JPP over this modem after installation of the rom.
As for benches, I'm seeing about 17Mflops and 1900 Quadrant with advanced jfs lagfix.
So this rom pretty much gives me everything I've enjoyed in different roms but now in one. I didn't do any real work here, I just threw the things together into an update.zip. So if you wish to say thank you, say thank you to the real developers and donate to them.
Here's the link:
http://www.multiupload.com/LGYWA92SYW
To install simply reboot into clockwork recovery, install from zip and upon reboot enter clockwork recovery again and select your lagfix. Flashing back to stock and master clearing is always a good idea too.
I've been testing it for three days now and not a single problem or force close but I am not responsible for anything this may do to your phone, use at your own risk. That being said, enjoy!

UPDATE 1 The file has been updated with kernel 1.1.1 and the correct keyboard. Upload wasn't working so I updated the link
UPDATE 2 Kernel updated to version 1.2
UPDATE 3 Kernel updated to version 1.2.6
NOTE ABOUT BATTERY LIFE: Make sure to recalibrate your battery. After recalibration I'm getting great results as seen in the screenshot above
As of right now I've been unplugged for 17hrs 42m and I'm at 75% battery with I guess what you'd call light to moderate usage, a run or two of quadrant/linpack/gps test, two half hour phone calls, some browsing of the web/market, steady texting and some showing off of my phone to friends by flying through apps like it's nothing
This is with the JPP modem by the way and with a 50/25 undervolt.

Yes, use odin for the modem swap.
Make sure you put it in the 'phone' section.
Soo many good things lately in this forum. It's bananas. :] I'll do this when i wake up! btw.. is this 1.1.1 kernel?
I love Tayu's roms!! I asked him to make a theme rom for the DocRambone rom and now you have one... AH! What FW do you have?
This is just about what I am running now, except I had to piece mine together. Nice work LuckyX2

No unfortunately, When I made this the kernel was only at 1.1
I have some class and homework today but when I find time I'll update the kernel and put in the right keyboard into the update.zip
Until then, you'll just have to use clockwork recovery once more to update the kernel.

Firmware is JPM Froyo just as in Tayutama's. I am however considering doing what I did here but with Doc's newer Froyo and Tayutama's skin.

It's a good combo isn't it? I find it "feels" faster then the Doc/Setiron combo even though that has a newer froyo. Odd, maybe It's just my perception that's off.

Tayu's been working on his rom project and I haven't seen any update about a theme so if you could do that I'd be your test dummy
My combo that I love is Tayu's black UI with a green blackbar evo4g look and a specific batterymod.
LuckyX2 what tools did you use and/or tutorials for doing all this stuff? I'm finding myself geeking out with Linux a lot more and even made it my host OS on my laptop.

I've been doing the Setiron kernel with the config tweaks (i/o scheduler, vm kernel optimization, etc...) and it's much faster than when I was on JPM. The lagginess and hesitation has been greatly reduced. I'm also running the lagfix with Advanced frs-free w/ext4 partitions and the only i/o hangup i get is when I install apps and even that has been greatly reduced.

To be honest, I just kinda took a guess at how to do this and what do you know; when I flashed it to my phone it worked! I basically took Tayutama's Rom, unzipped it, replaced and added files and then zipped it back up. I don't know if you've ever looked inside an update.zip file but there's a folder inside if you unzip it called META-INF that has a script in it telling the phone where to put what. So I figured as long as I'm not putting anything anywhere that the script for Tayutama's rom isn't, then I should be ok to just use that script. Now I'm assuming that if I used a script from some update.zip that just updated the kernel then no matter what other files I may put in it would only copy over the kernel when installed. As for making your own update script, I don't know. I'm sure that requires some sdk knowledge of which I'm no help.
So here's an example: When I go to update this with the right keyboard and Setiron 1.1.1, all I will do is unzip the current one, replace the 1.1 kernel files with the 1.1.1 files, delete the current android keyboard apk and paste the LatinImeGoogle.apk in the same folder where I deleted the android keyboard apk and then zip it back up. Get it?
Maybe one of the pros can chime in but I think my logic is ok here. I mean it worked and all...

Sorry I missed your question earlier. Yes you can use odin but for those who find update.zip's easier you can use the update.zip provided on Setiron's thread which has the kernel and the modem. You don't need to flash the kernel but all it's doing is flashing the kernel over the same kernel so nothing changes. You'd really just be using the update.zip to copy over the modem.
I tried that and only copied over images and yet I was getting FC's on some of my main processes. I never touched the .xml files or messed around with anything. The only thing I can think of is that Tayu and those guys zipalign their apks so I'm debating trying out this apk manager they use.

The first time I put this together acore was fc'ing like crazy but the second time it worked. Go figure huh? The only thing I can think of that may have had an effect was there was a file in Setiron's kernel update.zip called NOTICE which I copied over the second time but not the first. I'm not too sure though.
Again, maybe a pro could chime in on the correct way.
:] saw the update to 1.1.1 downloading now!

Can anyone currently using this provide any information on how that battery life is faring? Worse/same/better than stock 2.1 or 2.2?
Also, I'm still a noob when it comes to this stuff...I have no problem installing ROMs and whatnot, but when it comes to altering them in small ways, I usually try not to mess with it so...does this come with Swype functional? Thanks

Yep swype is included.
As for battery life, I was getting great battery life last night while still on the JG8 modem. Then I flashed JPP, charged overnight and now it seems to be draining faster. It's been 4hrs 32min since unplugged and I'm down at 66%. I did just get off of an hour long phone call though, so that hit it pretty hard. I'm going to charge it fully and do a recalibration of the battery to see if it's actually draining as quickly as it says.

Thanks for the info! Could you please explain (or point me in the direction of an explanation) as to what JPM and JPP means/does? I've gathered that they're names of modems, but as far as which one is better or what the differences are, I can't really tell...
I think the battery drain is just picky whenever we flash.. I think recalib is necessary every time we do a kernel flash or something.. :/
It sucks cause if we flash alot and do recalib alot lol our battery would suck

You're on the right track. I just skip a step and use 7zip to edit the .zip in place. I have my own custom version of all this mashed together as well. I may upload it at some point even.

[ROM]Clean Android|"AlmostOSP"|come..flash me..[LINK ADDED]

Hey Ace Lovers...
some of you already knew, for the Rest : I fell in Love with the "Clean Android|AOSP" Stuff provided by Slaid480 and EmoBoiix3..
The only Problem with it was
- not yet flashable
- no brightness and soundlevel
I used the Rom for some days and really liked everything but for me
- Lockscreen sucked (at least after Factoryreset)
- I missed all the nice Settings
Somebody mentioned to restore CyanogenSettings so I tried just to add Cyanogen Parts to it (CM Parts/Settings/Settingsprovider) CM Screenshots was included already..
..it worked
Now, I added some, I think, nice features to it..
- Apps & Framework are deodexed
- zImage-Mod v1.1
- Old Market (Marketupdater deleted)
- Google Maps 5.8 (don't update)
- Center Clock
- Batterymod
- Cyanogen Settings
somebody just startet to get nervous...wait, don't panic, Credits will be given in the very End ;-)
Let's talk about the way to get this on your Ace..
- Download the Rom from second Post (Sunday)
- Place it somewhere on your SD Card (somewhere you can find it later...will you !?)
- reboot your Phone into Recovery (CWM Recovery required)
- Please : Backup your current Rom !
- Now we will see if you had a good spot for my flashfile...can you find it ?
- Once you found it, flash it and wait
- After Installation has finished, please reboot
- the first boot will take a while don't panic !
For a reason that's out of reach of my knowledge, you will see no statusbar at first start. Please, finish the Google Setup Progress and once, you've finished it, just reboot again, the Statusbar will be there and...you will like it (hopefully)
Screenshots now in 2nd Post !
I added a little F.A.Q. to 2nd Post, this will be updated whenever Problems got solved, please, read this before you ask, it will help people (&me) to not lose the overview (and...for some...their patience )
Credits :
- of course, in first to the Godfathers (and Moms) of this AOSP Project, SLAID480 and EMOBOIIX3, you guys rock !
- an0nym0us_ for zImage-Mod v1.1
- ketut.kumajaya for parts of his updaterscript, the inspiration and the wonderful stuff he gave to us (absolutely amazing)
- dsixda for his/her great (!) kitchen
- alley23 for parts of his Centerclock
Missing your name here ? Please let me know..!
I am planing to add some more things but all that will follow will be in small patches. The Downloadlink for the Rom will be available Sundaymorning as I started uploading but not more than 12Kb available..no, I don't live at the end of the World but...I can see it from here..
Please note :
I am no Developer, not magic in any direction, all you get here is pure compilation of Stuff the real Devs provide here. I want to point that out because I really think that way. Without all those guys here, compiling stuff, developing new stuff, bringing all this to us, the Ace would be just one more midrange Phone...with them, it's just awesome
Everything you get from me is, of course, free to use, modify, sit on it, delete it from your phone, show your mom, whatever you like because : Android is fckn fantastic free
Please don't blame me if anything does not work, your wife runs away with the tennis teacher because you spend to much time with your ace, your phone won't boot or anything bricks because : I'm not responsible ! NOT guilty ! Wasn't ME !

Yes, till I find a better Solution without 3rd Party Software, this will work I guess (thanks to EmoBoiix3)
Q: There are so many awesome Roms already available, why bringing this ? Big Ego ? To much time ? No Life ?!
A: No, I am absolutly shy in reality and kids and wife keep me pretty busy but.. this Rom is kinda different to others as it does not come with much for the eye but a lot of options to build up on. About 86Mb of free Systemspace and about 130 Mb free Dataspace..
Q: Will there be updates ? And when ?
A: Yes, I have planes for the future, but this will all happen in small, flashable Files. Some Frameworkmodifications, Iconchanging and a few more Apps. When ? I will let you know ;-)
...more to come...

I searched through the build.prop but found no traces lol Slaid has done a good job with it
But I think it is 7.2...
For OC Kernels, please make a backup and then try, I can't tell if it works but it would be nice if you report back about it.
For Scripts, I don't see why there should be problems with it, please, always backup your Rom and try

I did this, but after the bootloop with blackhawk i flashed the OC kernel from 7.1 cyanogem Grif's rom and worked, thanks for the help
Edit:
BlaclHawk worked, Lagfree and turboboost working (at least the tweeks are in the init.d), and framework.zip (that one who increases the number stages volume) worked too.
How is it?
People after all this time what is yur feedback about the rom?
I like it. Its fast and it does not need things like scripts for this or for that.
I tryed many and now i have to do a new install BUT now i know what to install or not .
Hope for some update.
Peace !

About:
This is CyanogenMod 7.2 for Ideos X5 (u8800).
It is built upon the latest sources of the gingerbread branch of CM7.2.
Using 2.6.32.9 kernel with all the tweaks franciscofranco has made.
This is if you want a stable every day use rom.
All are working expect native usb tethering but you can use any usb tethering app from the market.
Sources available on my github.
Features:
Overclocked kernel to 1800mhz.
Many governors to choose from (lagfree, lazy, minmax, conservative, ondemand, smartassv2, performance).
Noop & deadline I/O Schedulers.
Built from source.
Super fast!
Super stable!
Bug free!
Tweaked for better performance!
Including X5 Settings!
Including ksatta headset patch!
Including screen duplicate filter by stockwell!
Patched hosts file (adfree).
Working native wifi tethering!
Unlocked FPS.
Tips and tricks!:
1) For faster animations go to app Spare Parts and select Window Animations -> Fast , Transition Animations -> Fast
2) If you feel GUI is a bit sluggish use a different launcher. I personally use Go Launcher EX and it's full of features and fast! You can set the transition speed on Go Launcher EX settings.
3) You should be easily get at least a day (24h) with usage. If not either your battery needs replacement or some app is draining it.
4) If you don't like cdrom appearing every time just delete the folder cdrom from /system or rename autorun.iso to anything you like.
5) If you don't have an external sd goto x5 settings and set use internal card and reboot.
6) I suggest you try SetCPU for managing governors and find the one that best suits your needs.
7) If you are coming from official 2.3.5 downgrading to 2.2.2 keep a backup of your IMEI with 5iromtoolbox. Google it and you shall find.
8) I haven't included anything else expect google apps for a reason. That is that each has it's own taste. I could modify the rom with themes and apps that i think are nice but some people might not like them. Just use google play and tweak the rom according to what you like.
Changelog:
CM7.2 built on 2013-02-28
Merged latest commits http://is.gd/QW4Gio
CM7.2 built on 2013-01-03
1) Revert to standard dpi and deodexed.
CM7.2 built on 2012-11-22
1) Merged all latest commits up to id I491072c0 from the gingerbread branch.
2) Changed default dpi to 182 and added modded Play Store. If you want to change back to original dpi you can do it with "Dpi Changer Utility" already included in the ROM. Don't go below 180 or above 240 dpi cause it will break things up. Default dpi is 240. Also Play Store won't auto update. You need a custom Play Store from here http://is.gd/SOBDEB for dpi different than 240.
3) Odexed build. Supposedly speeds up things a bit. You can read about it here http://is.gd/tpGa46
CM7.2 built on 2012-07-21
1) All the latest merged changes on gerrit plus some cherry picks
2) Using by default a stock based kernel. Seems the same to me speed wise and a bit more battery friendly. If you would like to use the franco optimized kernel check out the downloads for and flash it through CWM.

2) Updated ondemand governor.
3) Built upon latest CM sources.
CM7.2 built on 2012-04-20
1) Merged PaulMilbank changes to kernel. Should give more batter time! Thanks PaulMilbank (tweaked governors, set smartassv2 as default at 1024Mhz, enabled sio).
2) Further improved kernel build. Even faster now!
3) Removed NFS & CIFS.
4) Several cherry-picks from code review.
5) Change I95c987f1: Toggling the flashlight from the lock/pattern/sim unlock screens (Goto CM settings to enable this. Similar to MIUI).
6) Change I4427e3f2: [bionic] Replace strlen() with ARMv7 optimized version
7) Several other picks to improve performance.
8) Replaced Mms.apk with the one that supports 160 chars on Greek, Portuguese etc.
9) Removed 11fps from /etc/init.d/ should give bit more battery. If you need it unlocked you got to put it back and reboot.
10) Removed unnecessary build.prop lines.

u8800 specific:
1) Disabled back key rejecting call.
2) Added Greek T9 dialer.
3) Patched hosts file to remove ads.
4) Edit gps.conf for fast gps accuracy on .eu users.
5) Updated adreno drivers, faster 3d performance.
6) Tweaked wifi settings to stay connected while on sleep (goes on standby).
7) Fixed native wifi tethering not getting an ip address from dhcp.
8) Couple of build.prop tweaks for 3g/net performance.

Installation Guide:
Check your stock version. If you are on froyo 2.2.* go to step 5 else if you are on official gingerbread 2.3.5 continue to step 2.
Given that you are on official 2.3.5 you need to downgrade to stock froyo.
Get the latest stock froyo from here and put the dload directory into your sd card.
Power off. Press both volume keys and power on. Wait for the update process to finish. Once rebooted wipe data/cache.
Get Official CWM from here.
Remove the dload folder and boot into pink screen by holding both volume keys and power on.
Replace recovery.img with the cwm recovery provided on step 5.
Boot into recovery holding up volume key and power on.
Choose select zip from sdcard and select the update-xxx.zip
Reboot! Done!
Thanks:
Many thanks to the developers of the u8800 especially to: dzo, genokolar, stockwell, fransiscofranco, ksatta, ret4rt.

Hello! First of all sorry for making a new thread but i couldn't post to the appropriate dev threads.
What this is? I just took the latest cm7-kang build from desire z (1/3/12) and ported it to u8800.
What this isn't? Don't expect any bugfixes. It's based on genokolar kernel and work and unfortunately he hasn't update lately his github so there is no way for me to do any really work on it anyway.
What doesn't work? On both 32/35 kernel versions native usb/wifi tethering doesn't work. Wifi tethering should work with 3rd party apps though.
Beats me why native wifi tethering doesn't work. I've edit framework-res.apk to include the right softap and also the hostap_default.conf but still doesn't work. If anyone has a clue please let me know. USB tethering is totally kernel related and i don't have the source of the latest build. Other than that there may be bugs for sure.
Which one should i install? I would go for the 32 kernel version. It's stable, bug free.
Would there be any updates? I doubt so. If i had a proper build environment it would make sense but that's not the case.
Will it work on u8800pro? The 35 kernel version i think should work but i ain't 100% sure.
Can i install this over genokolar version. Yeap it should work.
Get it from here mediafire.com/?yc1grq127ije4 ( i can't post links too..)

Seems great... CM kang build is exactly what? A quick google search didn't result in much... From what I understand it is a nightly build, correct?

Wow, CM7.2 with .32 kernel? Well, amazing! I was waiting for this! Everything is working as normal, one thing only, system seems to have fps locked? Transitions and scrolling are not very smooth, but apps are working fast and load fast... is there a way to disable fps lock if it is, in fact, locked?
Installed franco, still too much lag in animations and scrolling :S If you could solve this, It would be great! CM7.2 is rock solid!
Im testing .35 and congratulations your rom doesnt have low sound in calls.
its good to have a cm in .35 firmware that dont have low calls.
Thanks
EDIT:
Your acelometer doesnt work (cant autorotation for example)
Would you mind sharing how you ported it? I'm interested in learning how to get ports working on our phone.
Seems great. I did not test everything, but it seems solid and stable. I tested .32 kernel and put franco on. Worked nicely. Well done on the port.

Indeed, well done. But don't you notice a general low fps in animations and scrolling? Makes the ROM a bit unusable...

You can see here what KANG means wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Terminology . Basically here it's a port from the latest desire z nightly.
About the fps i don't have any problem at all here please try reinstall after a full wipe maybe something went wrong with your first installation.

I will try later on to post a simple guide on it when i'll got bit more time.
Anyway i plan to release a modified kernel for the .32 to make native usb and wifi tethering to work. Also i attach 11fps here for anyone who wants to unlock the fps just put it in /etc/init.d/ and apply the same permissions as the other files in it.
My point for making this thread was to have an updated CM7 for the .32 kernel version

I did all the wipes ... :-s will try again today. If that works, this would be the best ROM available. I agree, .35 at this point is a no match to .32, I'm happy you are one the very few devs (I think the only one) who are still supporting. 32

F**ck after two more installs, with complete wipes of everything, using CWR 5.0.2.6 (oficial) it still lags a lot in animations on the .32 version... Will make a youtube video... :S
I did find it a little jerky, I think it may be a graphics driver issue. For a first porting effort, it is pretty good already. I have also done all wipes and formats.
Here's a video I made to show the problem I'm having.
Note, Kang build is the bigger one on the left side. Especially on the beginning, when entering and scrolling in settings, the lagging in comparison with u8800-cm7-111128-32final is clearly visible... And yes, all wipes done before install.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Ooeq6xZju8
ok i've compiled my own kernel, i'm attaching it here install throuhg cwm.
This is for the .32 version only!
Let me know if it fixes your prob. Also working to fix native usb/wifi tethering.
Still no go here but please give a try too
Wow, you're fast... will try it now, and report when ready! Thanks a lot... a cm7.2 with 3.2 is a dream of mine!
EDIT: I'm getting "Invalid Attachment specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator" when trying to download the file... But I guess its xda fault, it seems to be having problems at the moment...
Can you upload the kernel to mediafire?
Please, upload the new kernel to mediafire I'm using the ROM even with the lagging, I would love, really love, to get this fixed...
I'm uploading latest kang to my mediafire folder check in about 20 mins the upload should have finish.
Let me know if lag is fixed now
Even better... thank you!

[ROM][CM7.2] GingerIceCream (final) [15/07/2012]

Hi everybody.
Before anything I'd like to say a few words (thank you). first of all, I know not many of you know me I have recently joined xda I have really enjoyed my time here its a great kinda thingy I dunno community/website whatever you call it guys. anyways I bought my first android phone like a year a ago but after a month I smashed it against the wall (that felt really awesome) but I bought another android phone (the galaxy ace s5830 again, roughly around one or two month ago since then I became really interested in android have done quiet a lot of research and stuff, so finally I came to the point where I decided to create (well I don't really call it creating till I code everything myself) my ROM. to be honest I spent days and days doing that till I managed to get into the shape that I wanted. So at last I Finished it here I present to you GingerIceCream (I don't know why we android fans like food so much).
So Guys this ROM is based on the CM7.2 nightly (made some other ones based on cm7 stable and the cm7 by vo-1 but the nightly is much better than all of them I tell you why later). and what I have done here is I have removed all the apps I thought wont be used and replaced most of default apps with other ones available (unfortunately I am limited cause I cant just use any app specially paid ones) also gathered all the script I thought would be nice to have in this ROM (just Adrenaline engine actually and added the beats audio files but I replaced the fx widget app with another one its a really light app which I think works better. Also I searched and searched and searched the whole world wide web to find all possible build.prop codes that could help making this ROM better honestly it actually worked which I thought wouldn't make much difference but did. and you get this nice GingerIce9 theme created by jasonevil, not from the galaxy ace forum (Somehow I found it) and other stuff which I will metion later. and yeah one thing that I actually created myself by myself which took me hours to do it (god damn it) is the bootanimation yay.
Features
Since I care about performance more than anything else myself I have done my best for this ROM to meet that target.
Stable as Cyanogenmod 7.2 stable even more actually
loads of crappy apps removed. (no offence to devs)
many default apps replaced e.g gallery3d is replaced with quickpic and android keyboard is replaced with Touchpal (lighter, uses less memo, and its smarter plus you get that swype as well.)
Holo launcher 1.1.1 is the default launcher now.
added the Mi file explorer (miui file explorer) its the default now.
Added jelly bean music player and removed the old one.
all Google apps are up to date now the latest Google play 3.7.13 and Voice and Google search box are updated too.
Superuser is updated too.
Added miui camera.
QQplayer is now the default video player. (unfortunately I failed to add adobe flash player to this rom :crying: so sorry!!!)
added kik messenger and dropbox and dolphin browser (dolphin is replaced wit UCbrowser in the final build) cause I use them a lot thought you may want to use them too.
You have now this app called equalizer to ... well equalize the output audio. This and beats audio put together would be monster beats.
And I have added tones of build.prop codes from all over the WWW to this ROM to ensure the best performance and (battttteeeerrrryyyy life)
GingerIce9 is the default theme, she is a beauty (in my point of view) thanks to the creator : jasonevil
and created a bootanimation just for this ROM.
Also replaced the default fonts with ubuntu fonts and animations with fly-in animations and locks are modified for this ROM all done using UOT kitchen thanks to them.
... etc.

LOOK at the CPU performance, have you ever scored that high (800, well I haven't). I/O will be increased up to nearly 6000 if you disable jit, but it will decrease CPU performance. you may also disable 16bit transparency i enabled it by default it could decrease the 2d performance.
What's new in the final version:
first of all it's final now, (if I get to activate bln I will upload a patch). Completely stable and fast as F-18 (don't believe me try it for yourself). So I rebuilt it based on latest nightly that was released yesterday. Some of the apps been removed/replaced . It no longer contains adrenaline engine or other scripts (and it's strongly recommended that you don't use scripts on this ROM since they may interfere with the default settings. surely you wont need any script or cache cleaner to make it better.)
Also systemUI and framework have been modified. (you can see the results in the pics above). Dolphin is replaced with UCbrowser once you use it you will understand the true meaning of smart browsing. Miui camera Added it's the best replacement for stock camera. Some of the apps were updated. And build.prop is extremely modified for galaxy ace and this ROM, you will be completely blown away by the Smoothness and speed of this ROM, you will clearly see the difference. I guarantee that.
Installation Please follow the installation procedure to ensure everything will be the way it's supposed to
1. Copy the .zip file you have downloaded to your SD card.
2. Reboot into recovery
3.(a) Do a complete wipe (data factory reset, cache partition, >>> Dalivk cache <<< (under advance)
3.(b) go to mounts and storage and format cache, data and system (one after another)
4. now go to install zip from sd, and navigate to directory where the .zip is stored.
5. choose yes intall ....... .zip and wait for a while till it's done.

Looking good, could you make a version with blue status bar icons (like ICS ones), I'm assuming this is deodexed systemUI and framework.res

Yeah I could do but you know that's the whole point about this ROM that its green instead of blue however I'll get you the blue one if you want.
NiiiiiCe ROM Good Job
but there is a bug, I think.
After I flashed the ROM and installed S2E to move the apps, data and cache to sd-ext partition I rebooted the phone I get multiple FCs :/
I can't even use the phone, I tried to do it 3 times, No luck. each time I get the multiple FCs after I insert the PIN code.
Any Solution?

For starters I am not a Developer, I am not a Themer, but what I am is not important.
This is something that I have been working on for the past 2 weeks. Didn't want to
release it until I knew others can handle it. This is G-Harmony4.0.4 broken down on
Crack. Fully Deodexed with Modded scripts to Match. After Installation and setup is
complete let it rest for 10 - 15 minutes to allow the Dalvic to build. After that hold on
with both hands and enjoy the ride. Sorry this only comes as a 160 lcd, but can be
by changing the build prop.
I want to thank tjohnsonjr for bring us [ROM-AOSP][BL-1.2]G-Harmony ICS 4.0.4 ODEXed
so I can rip it apart and bring you this amateur build
Also Special Thanks goes to fosser2 for helping me out with some initial issues, and bring us
to the ICS and Jelly Bean Stages
Just when you think it couldn't get much better then this
Then I update and it just keeps getting better
This one will keep going all night long
Now I bring you SmOoTh_IcE 4.0.4 (deodexed)

Yeah it does that if you don't let it rest for the whole 10 to 15 min. Some devices might react different. Maybe needing a longer cool off period. I am running this along with everyone that does so I can try to duplicate issues as they come in if any and try to resolve them.
Edit : Updated OP
Yea I let it sit a little longer and it works fine now,the play store that is. It has started to lag in chrome a lot can't figure that one out.
Sent from my Malata SMBA1002 using xda app-developers app
lag might have to do with files left in the init.d folder...if you aren't using supercharger, I suggest removing files from the folder and rebooting.

I am going to add this to the initial setup of the device after replacing the stock file manager with one that can be used to do it. Thank you for some insight. Does any one have a well place script that can be added to automatically do this?
I'm am using the superc. It has slowly started to speed up but not by much. Where is the file init.d located?

Do the camera and microphone work in this build? Also does this freeze up if it goes to sleep while plugged invisible USB?

Like all the ICS Builds for the Gtab we are using the Kernel off of Team DRH's build made by fosser2 and others. Once they get the kernel perfected there will be no Camera. This has Kernel base 1.3 I took the build with 1.3.2 off line. To the Sleep of Death issue Yes there is always that chance of it happening. Just beware of what you are doing and also word of advise change your display sleep setting to max.

Is this speedier than G Harmony? I love it, with the exception of Email Speed and some internet Lag.
OK, I will be the guy to ask...If already on the latest G-harmony ICS, would a cache and Dalvik flush be enough when flashing this?

Should be able to since this is just a Deodexed version of G-Harmony. I would still make a nandroid bakup in recovery just in case things go wrong. Try it out.
