Galaxy Note beats Blackberry Playbook - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 General

A review of the Note below shows that the Note performs better than the Blackberry Playbook so the Note is already taking over the 7 inch tablet space.

Is there anyone moved from galaxy s2 to tab 2 7?

For me, the move from 8mega pixels to a 3.2 does feels like a downgrade so as the 8gb internal space. So if anyone have moved from s2 to tab 2 7, have you ever "man, I miss my S2"? thanks:laugh:
Also how is the camcorder? I don't care if it can't go 1080p but the picure quality is more important to me.
I moved from LG Optimus 3D to Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 3G.
The camera is mediocre but this is a tablet after all. The camera is by far better than the cameras of most tabs I've seen so far and is OK for occasional shooting in good light conditions.
So far I'm perfectly happy with tha Galaxy Tab 2 7.0. I was a bit sceptical that I can use it as a phone but it works amazingly good. So no more carrying around 2 devices. That was the main point in buying it anyway
Yeah it's also lacks in auto focus and flash but it's has good spec and worth for its money I'm soo happy and satisfied except that camera thing

The tab 2 doesn't have super amoled thing, so It's a no go. So It definitely a downgrade to me. Maybe I'll wait for the galaxy note 10.
Moved from my SGS to this Tab as I've already had a Asus TF101.

A 7-inch Galaxy Note May Be Replacing The 7.7

There are rumours that Samsung is preparing a 7-inch Galaxy Note GT-N5100 to fit between the 5.5 inch and 10.1 inch Notes.
I hope that it is true and that it comes with a 1080p full HD screen and LTE/4G for that would make an upgrade definitely worthwhile.
Now that the the Nexus 10 has followed the Ipad, Asus Infinity and Acer A700 with a full 1080p HD screen it is time for Samsung to do the same and release a full 1080p HD 7-inch screen tablet with a S-Pen for I think the Note 10.1 received a cool reception partly because it lacked a 1080p full HD screen.
I am tempted to get the Nexus 10 because it is full 1080p HD and vanilla Android. However, the S-Pen adds a lot of worthwhile functionality to a tablet as I have discovered on my Note I and I would not now buy a tablet without one.
So I'm hoping the rumour that a 7-inch Galaxy Note is coming soon is true and if it has a full 1080p HD screen and LTE/4G then I'll definitely replace my 7.7 with it.
It seems the GT-N5100 is going to have a 720p screen and not 1080p full HD according to SamMobile

The nexus 10 is 2650x1600. Much higher res then 1080p.
The one thing all of these "replacements" and "alternatives" are missing relative to the 7.7: OLED.
There's no possible alternative to the 7.7 without the SAMOLED. PERIOD.
What you're talking about are alternatives to the 7inchers we've already have, maybe even to the 8.9.
I agree however how cool the pen is and all, but just that such a device is a different one. I just bought the 7.7 for the screen. If it had the same screen as the 8.9", or the 7" 1 or 2 I wouldn't particularly have bought this one. Apples and oranges.

[Q] Nexus 4 vs SGSfamily and note2?

I seen some review but still no decent comparisons for the nexus 4 to other device so can you please tell me which has has:
(Since i did not yet see the nexus in personal so i only have the following device as reference.)
Better camera(quality and details of the picture): Nexus 4 vs galaxy s1 (i9000), n4 vs s3, n4 vs note 2 (can you rate each 1 to 10 10 as highest quality and detail of picture)
SCreen/display: Nexus 4 vs note 2's display? (which is sharper and which is pleasing to use for games and videos?)
Gaming/speed: (which is faster and play games smoothly Nexus 4 vs note 2, Nexus 4 vs galaxy s3
Thanks

[Q] Undecided between Note 3 and Note 10.1

I currently own the Note 2 n7100, but today I saw Note 3 on display and played around with it. I was quite impressed by the screen quality and the new s-pen. That tip felt a lot better then Note 2's slippery plasticy one, and I actually enjoyed doodling some stuff with it.
I use my Note 2 mostly for sketching, watching movies, and reading some books.
But I want to know how the Note 10.1 2014's screen compares to Note 3's in terms of brightness, contrast, and clarity? and for watching movies in dark
If I buy the Note 10.1, I get to keep the Note 2 as well.
But if I buy the Note 3, I will have to sell my Note 2.
I don't have a Note phone, still on S3, no value added from me to your post. But 2 gadgets are better than one. Get Note 10.1, keep your phone.

The Note 10.1 is exactly like the Note 3 except bigger screen/resolution and can't call. You can also use the note 10.1 s pen on the Note 2. Therefore keep the Note 2 and get this tablet.

Yea, the screen looks like a larger, more higher resolution version of the Note III. It's beautiful. Like when your walking around the mobile phone displays at the store, the Note III's screen stands out above all the rest in clarity and detail. You can just instantly pick that one out over the others from a glance. Well, it's the same thing with the Note 2014, surrounded by all the other tablets it just makes you just stop and take a look at it because it's so clean.
Once I pick up my Note '14, I'll have exactly what you have. A Note II and a Note 2014. It's seriously the way to go in such a situation.
And personally, I never use my Note II's S-pen. It's hand cramp central writing with that thing, but writing on the 2014 in the store feels very comfortable because of the size of the device and placement of the hard buttons.
I also think note 2 + note 10.1 2014 is the way to go. For the uses you describe the tablet makes a perfect fit. IMHO the only real drawback of the note 10 . 2014 vs note 3 is the contrast ratio. But unless you vitally need very very deep blacks, this screen is gorgeous and... big
On the other hand, I think the tablet has better outside visibility, although I am not 100% sure about it
iiSo say we all!! from my SM-N9005

I think you only can't call from WiFi version, and that's SM-P6000
Own both in fact Samsung should give me a great customer loyalty rating because I own the Galaxy Gear too.
The Note 3, I use for phone calls, apps .... It is the device I always have with me.
The Gear, is a convenience get email in the meeting glance to the watch. Got myfitnesspal, and a few apps on my Gear. I love the device.
The Note 10.1 use for games such as Dead Trigger II, magazines, movies, browsing the problem with the Note 10.1 is being a tablet I am not always carrying it, also no LTE.
I have Note 3 and 2014. Perfectly happy and I use both A LOT.
But I would double check the S-Pen compatibility thing. Sometimes when I'm using both, I will use the larger 2014 S-Pen on the Note 3 and it works most of the time, but sometimes it doesn't. I don't think it's a phone issue because the Note 3's pen works flawlessly 100% of the time with its phone.
Having both, felt note 10.1 is a tone down note 3 with bigger screen without NFC & proximity sensor. I prefer note 3 as it more easier to bring out.
Its not the greatest for watching movies. I find that dark scenes in movies appear very washed out looking, almost like watching on an LCD TV, where there is some light bleed coming thru on the blacks. Just my opinion.

Stick with the Note 2 if that's all you're doing.

IPS LCD can't compete with the pure black of SAMOLED for watching movies in the dark. IPS will show black as grey.

Sounds like your best choice is keep the Note 2 and get the Note 10.1 2014 (Snapdragon 800).
I watch movies and shows on my Note 3. Nothing, in my opinion, can compete with SAMOLED for that. Work, etc. gets done on the 10.1, which is awesome for multi tasking and getting business done.
Thanks for all your input guys! This has been very helpful.
I will go for the Note 10.1 for now. And I will probably get the Note 3 next year after its price goes down a bit.
For movies, I'll have to stick with my Note 2 for the nice contrast.
