[Q] extended battery for HD2 - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

This is the first time i'm asking for something so i'll be quick and direct .
This battery can be bought in my country for HD2 it's 1850MAh it's HINORX
http://www.kupindo.com/kupovina/Tel...NOG-KAPACITETA-HINORX-ZA-HTC-TELEFONE/9760241
and couple of friends bought it but for native androids, and they say it really does last longer up to 30%, so I want to know if it will work on HD2 because all kernels that i've seen have support for the official extended battery. Thanks in advance for help.

I wouldnt see why its not supported . as long as the kernel has the overcharge option in it . (like to prevent it from overcharging) also i would download a battery moniter program and see if its reading the new mA values

they always start at 20%, then 40% and then before you know it, it will turn off at 60% when using wireless .

Yeah well, if you think about it, most batteries have lifetime between 2 - 2.5 years. I myself used my original BA battery for roughly 3 years, so it was good....
as with my new battery, I just got the one made in china, cost me only about 12 USD, hehehe... I live in indonesia FYI. Sorry cant help you if you live in Cro, but I guess ebay would be a good start
I have a china high power battery and it now dies on my a 45%, before it was around 20, moved up to 30 ect.
So its a battery thing as had a good your out of it New one will solve that.
Stange, coz I have on older one thet work like a charm!!! But is's broken and I can't use it anymore coz it keeps droping... I can only stick it with superatac
Thank u for ur help guys!

Keeping my HD2 as a spare...

Recently had a Desire DHD on an upgrade which i'm well happy with.
But i got an issue i can't bring myself to sell my HD2, It was and is such an awesome phone that i wanna keep it as a spare...
Any tips on the best way to keep it stored am i better keeping it switched on and in use than off and in a box ?
Thanks
Since so few of us have the luxury of having an HD2 as a spare, then why donate your time and your phone as a beta tester for one of the chefs?

according to this, battery should be discharged to ca. 40% before long time storage

Cheers for the info...
for long term storage it would probably be best to remove the battery.
and obv. keep it somewhere dry with a reasonably constant temparature.
or you can send it to me, I'll take good care of it for you
Take out the battery and put it into your fridge.

[Q] Which Kernels will work with Gorilla Gadgets extended battery?

So I was looking at buying an extended battery for my HD2. I read that the ones from Gorilla Gadgets are pretty good, so I thought I'd maybe get one from there. So...
Which kernels will work with this extended battery? From what I read on most of the kernel pages, they only support the OEM HD2 extended battery, so would I HAVE to get one of those to use the battery? Or does it matter ?
I would just buy the OEM, but it's like $20 more+shipping from Britain [ the only place I found them is a British site], and I'd rather not pay that much if I can avoid it.
Thank you for any solutions!
Sorry to bump my thread, but does anyone have any ideas?

If you are in Taiwan as your profile indicates, why not just contact HTC in Taipei? HTC is a Taiwanese company with their worldwide headquarters located in Taoyaun. Here is a map indicating where HTC's Service Center is on Zhong Xiao East Road, Sec. 2 in Taipei. You can also contact them on the web at this page.
That...never crossed my mind! thank you

No problem, you are welcome. If you can not still get a battery let me know. I have a few connections with HTC. Let me know if you have any trouble, or you have success getting a new battery.
