No, the OP is either trolling or is seriously confused.
FOR THE TIME BEING GALAXY NEXUS IS A VERIZON EXCLUSIVE. PERIOD END OF STORY, NO IFS AND OR BUTS ABOUT IT.

I REALLY wish people would stop purposefully posting false/misleading information. It REALLY hurts these forums.

geek.com has the article that says the nexus is not exclusive to Verizon per Verizon itself

Google wouldn't release a cdma/lte phone(takes much longer time and different parts.. just take a look at wimax nexus s) first unless Verizon paid a ton of dough for exclusiveness. The hspa+ version is being released soon in the UK, so at the very least, it will be for tmobile unlocked. I bet it will go farther and subsidized too. Isn't the Verizon one just strong speculation too(given they have the moto razr)? FCC report has one confirmed with tmo bands as well. Probably not gonna be 42mbps though.

NO the Verizon exclusivity for the time being is NOT speculation. It was confirmed on Samsung's Facebook by "Samsung Janel" last week, or maybe it was the week prior.
She confirmed for the time being Galaxy Nexus is a Verizon exclusive. How much more proof do you guys want? It came straight from Samsung.

Exclusive in the US, for now. It will be released in Europe around the same time Verizon gets it, so you will be able to import it if you want, but I would guess it will be on the other US carriers. Maybe Verizon gets a month, maybe three but if Google wants to sell this phone they wont leave it on Verizon for too long. I personally will wait and see but not too long, I will just import it if I have to.

I have a feeling that many of us vibrant users will want to import an intl version that will work with t-mo.. but I haven't been able to find the verified hardware specs for the UK version yet. Intl phones always seem to get better and faster updates, so as a google phone I imagine it would be even better.
I wonder if we could do a group-buy type thing if enough here were willing to import?

It may not release officially from Tmobile but it has their hspa+ bands, so u could easily buy it unlocked and use it for Tmobile, which is what I'm definitely doing and can't frickin wait!

I thought it only has the slower edge bands?!? If the 4g bands were supported I'd consider an import at the right price.

Verizon increases data cap to 4GB!!!!!
Nexus on Verizon 4G LTE with 4GB data cap should work out well.

Nexus prime on Verizon!

I just came out the radio shack & the rep tolds me the nexus prime was coming out for verizon not sprint! This Sucks the nexus prime should come out for all
carriers if this is true then its Galaxy S 2 for me
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
Sprint would be stupid not to carry it. I highly highly doubt Verizon will be the only CDMA carrier with it. The only reason they are speculating is because someone saw a FCC doc specing out LTE radio and not a WiMax version.
I hope this the case I never had a nexus so that's what I wanted but if sprint doesn't get it which would suck if google wants to defeat apple Iphone they need to push it out to all the carriers not just one & the iPhone coming to sprint please google Nexus Prime to sprint to help the underdog not the big bad verizon & there Expensive plans with caps!! Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
I doubt it would just switch to Verizon maybe they add it to Verizon but not remove from sprint.

I agree 100% with this. I think they're going to put it out for almost all carriers to really compete with the iPhone. I think Google and Sprint are becoming quite close, and it would be a shame if they didn't release it on Sprint's network.

Why would they release a nexus device as an iphone killer. Its meant as a test and dev handset, not a phone so easy an iphone user could deal with it.

You never know if some sort of contract expired between the nexus and sprint.. after all the year 2012 is creeping on us..
If it drops for VZW, I may seriously consider switching to Big Red. Not just because of the phone, but the crappy Sprint network: after today's aftershocks due to VA earthquake, I got busy signal on Sprint (and T-mo prepaid, for that matter) but after flipping over to VZW using RoamControl got through easily
Didn't Sprint announce that they are going to be going the LTE route? Also has the maker of the nexus prime even been confirmed yet?

Confirmed? No. Strongly suggested with a decent amount of backup, mainly the screen? Yes, Samsung.
But, it's all just rumor for now. Even the phone as a whole. Release date has been tabbed from October to Thanksgiving to December. No one has given a firm month, let alone real date.
I'm really hoping for October, just so I don't have to have the SGS2 staring me in the face yelling "GET ME, GET ME" for more than a month. A month I can handle...three, I'm not so sure.

Guys when the Nexus Prime was said to be coming to Verizon, did you guys ever think they just meant it would be coming to Verizon AS WELL AS the other carriers Nexus has been on. Besides, even if Verizon sold it first, I'm POSITIVE Sprint, AT&T, and most likely T-Mobile since they've had all the Nexuses will release the Nexus Prime later on.

Sprint now 1st US carrier to get GSII branded phone

An alaskan cell phone company GCI is getting it first:
http://phandroid.com/2011/09/09/sam...00/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
Sorry, Sprint, but you were a bit too slow. Alaska’s regional GCI has beaten the nationwide carrier to market as the first U.S. carrier to offer a subsidized Samsung Galaxy S II. Those citizens residing in the colder of the two non-contiguous United States have the pleasure of heading out and picking up what looks to be an unadulterated version of the Galaxy S II for a mere $99.99 on contract. The GSII operates on GCI’s “4G” HSPA+ network and features a dual-core CPU, Super AMOLED Plus display, and more. We suppose with an asterisk Sprint can still be the first carrier to release the Galaxy S II in the continental US, right?

I would take that with a grain of salt considering AT&T's record. That picture is a rendered picture of the International version. Lets wait for the real pics
Big Red has a pre-order date on the website http://shop.verizonwireless.com/?id=galaxys3
Thank you thank you thank you for posting the Preorder for Verizon! I am SOOOO glad it's starting at $199 DDD
I think I will buy a Rezound today at Costco and return it when the Samsung Galaxy S3 arrives (Costco has a 90 day return/exchange policy on phones and accessories). I am switching from Sprint and want to capitalize on the double your data event, which ends tomorrow.

Most notable of all, Samsung's PR says that it is "delivering the same iconic smartphone design and premium content sharing experience with AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless and U.S. Cellular." That statement, our earlier leak of the Galaxy S III on T-Mobile, and the fact that Samsung's PR doesn't have carrier-specific variants all lead to one conclusion: Samsung doesn't appear to be creating carrier-specific variants of the GSIII beyond customizing the radios.

all i know is VZW is locked so they better offer me the Dev Edition today when the regulars go on sale at 12noon central time. :fingers-crossed:
Just came here to check on this. Is there any info on if there will be a VZW Dev Edition? I assume price is $550 for 32gb version, which is a pretty penny but will be worth it.
Most likely will come out same time as unlocked version right? Sept 25th rumored?

Well, that's discouraging. I really hope they reconsider that decision.
I hope that information is wrong, total bummer if true.
The only real reason I need an unlocked bootloader is to tether (for free). I have unlimited and I use my hotspot to run my tablet a LOT.
Come'on Verizon!
man hold on..let the roll out start before we jump to conclusion about no VZW Dev edition.. there is no way they wont offer one. they made money this way last time. i bought at the damn 700 dollar range first day offered.

What did they say about the first generation developers edition when It was first announced? I'm hoping they are just giving Verizon a month or so head start with the standard version before releasing one. The first Google+ thread did mention that it was just "at this time".
I think Justin case unlocked the boot loader on the original X, maybe it will work for this one too
The newest bootloader on the original MX has yet to be broken, but I have saw talk of the firmware before the last update being include on Sunshine that @jcase created. Hopefully he will get a Verizon model when It is released.
