Sorry, forgot to mention that minor detail
O2 UK is the network it is locked to. I am just looking at flashing the stock rom to remove the customisations... I hate bloatware and Network Mods.
Is it contract mate or pay as you go?

It was on a contract.
I was going to buy it sim free like I always do, but it was cheaper to buy it on O2 Refresh, got the phone today and bought out of the contract today - They must love people doing that...
I have requested a code but told it will be 14 - 28 days, so until then, the phone is useless.
Have you tried another sim? It's just that my wife's note 4 and daughters note 3 was both 02 contract but already unlocked out of the box.

Yep, it is definitely locked, asks for an unlock code and gives an option to "Dismiss" or "Emergency Call"
If the phone came from CPW or Mobiles.co.uk or any other CPW group company, they come unbranded and unlocked.
You can only get O2 Refresh from O2, so thats where mine came from.

very easy and free to unlock call 02 or fill online form and phone usually is unlocked within 24hrs. Very good service. Just need to make one call before you submit form. I've used this service for all my o2 phones even the ones i bought from others.

I have a Samsung Galaxy edge 6+ from t-mobile usa. I have already purchased an unlocked code but am not getting the option to enter simple unlock code when I insert a new sim. Is there an alternative way in which I can enter it?

From SM-G930V to SM-G930F , I knew because it came with Snapdragon 820
The problem is can I update it to nougat?

i was using Samsung Galaxy S7 SM-G930V (verizon model). Recently the phone's display and back glass broke. i have brought an indian model s7 dead set.
My question is that is it possible to replace the motherboard of indian model with the verizon model??
(verizon model is single sim where as indian sim is dual sim)
