[Q] Did I just brick my dads Wave II (S8530)?

My dad bougth his Wave II (S8530) in asia, and wanted me to put Norwegian language (europe firmware) on it.
I have tried with S8530XEJK6, S8530XEJL2, S8530XXJK3 and S8530XXJK9. In MultiLoader_V5.64 I put all the files where they were supposed to be but every time i tried to upgrade/change firmwares it had an error. Sometimes on the first one, sometimes on the others. The annoying part was when all succeeded except the last one... I thought it worked...
Now it wont charge or startup. I'm pretty sure it wont start up because it didnt finish the upgrade, but why won't it charge? I have to put the battery in a Wave 1 (S8500) to charge it if i want to continue.
What did i do wrong? And why wont it charge? Anyone PLEASE have a fix for this?
Thanks
... hello please follow the link http://www.multiupload.com/AS83W2F1W4 the firm has the CSC preconfig for Europe as you asked ... I hope I have done something pleasant ... soon psycoy

Hi! Thanks, but I tried this and I just got:
Error : Amss Write [8.2s]
Have any idea what im doing wrong?
Edit: Tried it again, and now:
Error : Rsrc1 Write [11.1s]

hey friend you write this error is given when you try to write on a different device ... I'm sorry for your situation ... to make good by psycoy ...
... I spoke with the beta service and suggested I drive them to your device that are attached ... then retry the upgrade ... by psycoy ...
Hi thanks for the tips, but I already had that driver.
I reinstalled it just in case, but still I get:
Error : Rsrc1 Write [20.2s]
Is there something to do with a spesific firmware? Since I had an Asian firmware, and I need a special on for the European?
Or do i have to download a spesific asian rom before going over to European?
Thanks for your help.
It's probably not a firmware issue, but circumstantial.
Try to find another microUSB cable, and if it doesn't work, find another computer to retry flashing with.
Also, DO NOT touch the Boot partition for any reason! If the flash process stops while updating the bootloader, you'll make a real brick from your phone. As long as the bootloader is intact (i.e. you can access Download Mode), your phone can be revived.
Download Start Ch[0]
BootLoader 1703.9KB OK[0.9s]
Dbl 281.5KB OK[0.8s]
Wait reset !!
Error : Amss Write [10.4s]
I tried a new cable, but that doesnt seem to be the problem. Usually its the Rsrc1 that stops, but it's so random.
It goes into download mode fine, so it seems bootloader is. But i just cant seem to get the full firmware to download without it stoping :/
Please use MultiLoader v5.62.
Good Luck !
Thanks, I've tried that too, but didnt work with Rsrc1
Update:
Ok.. now I tried it without Rsrc1 and it worked!
But I didnt get the norwegian language i wanted.
Do i need Rsrc1 ?
I'm guessing norwegian isnt on these phones yet.
Anyways thanks for your help, all I had to do was leave Rsrc1 out of it.
Anyone know what thats for? Hopefully not important, since the phone is working
Rsrc1 is important file.
CSC contains Language and other regional settings.

Trying to fix a bricked phone but I'm new to this. Help me?

Hey guys. As title says I'm new to this but my dad bought a used rooted S6 Edge + (G928F) and now it's bricked for whatever reason.
It started off by saying "dm-verity verification failed" and that it's locked in "FRP lock".
I tried using Odin3 v3.10 to reinstall the firmware by downloading it from sammobile and did so successfully.
Here's where the problem part is coming. According from what I've heard and read, it's supposed to be working now. However, it's not, and a new message has appeared saying "Need to check DRK first."
Now, I've tried looking around for how to fix DRK but I haven't found anything that worked.
I'd like to remind you that I'm new to this so newbie-friendly words and patience would be greatly appreciated.
hi alexaziz....its not ur fault u didn't brick the phone...the guy who rooted this phone, he made the phone to show this error....unfortunately only fix is to use some professional tools like z3x box.....but don't b sad u can try 2 things.... just to hide it and bypass it.....
1....install stock firmware....wipe cache ..............download kernel file like 928-FKLSI-ODIN or arter97-g928fcig-.....and try 1 of them with odin (use AP in odin)...it should boot normally if not then try 2nd option..
2......Download official firmware for your device from sammobile. Extract your firmware files from the TAR..... delete cache.img & repack your firmware. now flash the repackaged firmware via ODIN.....thnx
wish u good luck :good:

(Problem) SW REV. CHECK FAIL. DEVICE: 2. Binary: 1.

Hello guys!
I have a big problem with my S7 edge (G935F)... The problem begins when I forget to turn off the OEM security and then I did an update to my Magisk root... When I tried to reboot my phone it doesn't pass of the first logo image, meaning that I broke the "security", so I read about that and then I flashed a firmware, an official UK (BTU I guess) firmware and then I flashed TWRP via Odin to restore a nandroid that I did when I bought my phone... It restored the EFS partition/folder and when my phone reboots I had no network signal, no IMEI... I just tried everything (I hope not) and I can't give back my IMEI and my network signal... When I try to patch the certificate to recover my IMEI via Odin in the download mode it says: SW REV. CHECK FAIL. DEVICE:2. Binary:1
I don't know if I explained it because my english is too bad, but I tried, I know that someone else have the same problem than I because I saw it. Do you find the solution? I'm out of my country and I need it so much :crying:
Regards!

Thank you for answer me.
I did it with three diferent stock firmwares and the problem persists (no network signal) I think that is something with the EFS folder, I restored a backup of it but is the same, I have not signal yet, but thank you!
Try clean formatting

Hey brother it happened with me too, unfortunately, I had to format my internal storage to fix this, you need to flash the latest nougat firmware via odin with csc including bl and modem and then start in recovery then format and start phone, remember you would need to put the google account which was previously there in the phone to unlock and complete setup process (very important here)

Thank you! Do you know which Firmware I need to flash? Because I flashed a lot of firmwares and it didn't work! You would help me a lot if you give me the name of the one you used.
Here I have some screenshots of what appears in IMEI and SIM.

Download the latest firmware from https://updato.com (it's fast and reliable) then start in download mode, run odin with administrative privileges, select BL AP Modem and CSC (dont use home since we wish to clean fornat), and in odin uncheck auto reboot option, after the ODIN shows 'pass', disconnect the cord from pc, now you have to be very quick here since our battery is not removable, in order to shut down s7 edge from odin mode, all you have to do is press, volume down, volume up, home and power and as soon as it goes off connect the cord, the battery will show up and now it will be in charging state, after that disconnect the cord, (the phone is now clean fornatted and in off stage) and now boot into recovery to wipe data and cache using default recovery, then reboot phone and then log into your existing google account.
I know its tricky and maybe there's an ez way around it but this worked for me so I'm sharing
SOLUTION, thank you all for your answers!

I tried it at first instance but I could not because my Bootloader was updated to the "U2" version, what I did after that was search the Combination file updated to the U2 bootloader, after a long search I found it.
In resume, The solution is what the OP of that thread says but if you have the same problem like me with the Updated bootloader you need this file instead of the files that are shown there:
