I just wanted to give everyone a heads up. I currently have a TyTN that I bought about 6 months ago, I finally convinced my wife that she should get a new phone today. We went to the local Cingular Corporate Store and what do we see...8525's on sale for $99.99 with a new 2 year contract. We picked one up for her and I picked one up for myself as a back up phone. You have to sign-up for the PDA Unlimited plan to recieve the mail-in rebate for $50. I opted to not get that plan becuase it's a rip-off, so we paid $150 plus tax for each phone.
I thought that I might spread the word. Maybe you care maybe you don't...just trying to give a little back.
One person at the store said that the special offer ends Monday 4/30/07 and one other person said that it ended on 5/2/07. So if this interests you, you might want to call your local corporate store.

hmm i guess this is a local deal? I believe in Dallas, TX its still $399.99 with 2 yr contract and minus a $100 rebate for data plan totaling to $299.99 but I do agree thats a rip off for the data plan
What are the details on this special? I can't find it less that $360. Was it a refurb?

The 2 that I got were brand spankin new. If it helps they were purchased in Tustin, CA.
I called Cingular and game them your 92780 zip code. Price was still >$300.
Was this at a Cingular Store (I thought this was what you meant)? Did it involve rebates? Best price I've seen is $199 after rebates @ Wirefly (but I won't buy from them or anyone using them again).

I have the PDA Connect (Shown as: "PDACNCTUNTLADD" on my bill) for $39.99 minus company sponsorship discount.

Got mine for $99 (after $50 rebate). It used a $100 rebate for the California market, but since it was a corporate store, they matched the final price here.

Because most pay 19.99 for the Media Max and get unlimited internet... you just need to tell them you have a non-pda phone...
I tried calling the stores AND the price is 150 -50 for PDA, BUT you have to upgrade in the store. They wont do any over the phone orders. And cingular.com will not honor the price.
FINALLY I was able to get one of the store in the LA area to upgrade me over the phone and ship it to me... but it is not 150... Actually it is 196.49 out the door with taxes (they have to charge tax on the original price or some BS like that). Still a deal.
SO ANYONE IN THE LA AREA JUMP AT THIS DEAL.....

It would be proper to mention all the details about the deal... They are NOT 99 dollars.
It's 149.99 if you pick up a 2 year contract (or have an upgrade available on the account)
Tax is 46 dollars and is based on the 399 price tag, not the 99.99 tag
And until now, I thought the rebate was for everyone, but apparently it's only 50 off if you get that unlimited data plan.
The phones are 196.xx out the door each NOT 99!!!

I'm guessing i can because I don't want to deal with the mail in rebate... :/ whats also cool about best buy, is when you sign up with sprint through them, they instantly give you an upgrade. I got my hero in Nov and have had that little $150 upgrade thing on MySprint this whole time just thought I inform the uniformed. Looks like I'm be going to BestBuy to pre-order today
I would love to preorder my main concern if I do it through BestBuy is will Sprint still give me the credits that I'm getting now. For example, I get $20 credit a month plus 15% discount. Those are big credits to me. My bill goes from $89.99 (before taxes and fees) to $70 after all taxes and fees. I would hate to loss those.

I went to BB today to preorder my phone. I'm a Sprint Premier customer and my 12m date was June 11th. The sales person looked up my account and said I'm eligible as of June 1st. Fantastic timing!
Well I won't qualify for the $150 upgrade credit because I used it for the Hero. But at least I can get the $100 rebate up front. So I'll be paying $350 for my Evo.

Well i was able to get the vibrant for Tmobile for 64.99 with 2 year commitment with $20 unlimited data loyalty plan, No upgrade/ activation fee, and free 3 day shipping and intant rebate. I was offered same deal on all 5 of my lines but will only take it up on one since i want to save the other upgrades for future phone releases. Only bad part is i wont get the vibrant until tuesday .
Im thinking of picking up one at tmobile tomorrow for retail price which is$439 to play with until mine comes in and then just return it, but i dont think tmobile will like that much.
Just really happy to get such a great deal and looking foward to android coming from the iphone platform

Retail shows up as $499 here.
I called my local tmobile store and they said it was marked at $439, But ill check tomorrow.

He has 5 lines. Phone companies always treat people based on how much they pay a month. The more you pay on your phone bill the more likely you are to get deals and fee's waived.
Also I see this confusion a LOT. $439 vs $499. It seems the $439 price is only for current customers, or people well into their contract. The $499 is for everyone else.

Ive been with tmo for 8 years and have 5 lines so im sure that helped. Basicly all my lines are out of contract and had previous considered going to ATT for new iphone. Tmobile offered free upgrades on all lines for any phone they had at that time with all fees waived. But they didnt have the vibrant out yet, so they told me to call once it was out to see what deal i could have. I called once it became availabe and they offered to waived all fees, bump up shipping and and additional $100 credit to regular upgrade. They ended up giving me additional $135 because i mentioned my upgrade only said 164.99, which was different from their $199, so they just added $35 to match the price.
Tmobile takes care of their customers! I have no issues being on a commitment with them.

I paid $499.99
i paid 499.99 also, and i've been with t-mobile for 9 years with 4 phones.
got one offered for $429+taxes (~$460) as my early upgrade price (i bought my mt3g aug last year).
moved on to the retentions folks who brought it down to $249 + taxes, which is only $50 more than a brand new contract, i was sold on that. had them make the note on my account and picked it up in-store locally for the same price! =)
loving the phone so far, big upgrade from the mytouch3g.
can't wait to get CM6 on this baby.
btw, im having market issues currently - "download failed" error. was initially able to download a couple apps, but none now despite several reboots.

If you signed a 2 year contract, then you could try to get the $50 rebate.
Costco has it for $99.99 (instant) with a 2yr contract until Monday.

I don't specifically know how rjohnstone got it for $149.99, but AT&T gave me an additional $50 off because it had been more than 2 years since I upgraded.
So I preordered mine for $149.99, and received it yesterday.

Been a Premier customer for the better part of 10 years. I spend a lot of money with them, so I typically get an extra $50 off any device I purchase.
One of the many reasons I will not leave AT&T.

Amazon Wireless is now down to $129.99 but they are backordered. I have a feeling they lowered the price in order to still maintain the pace of orders until stock comes back in. Kind of sucks because I wanted to try it in Tucson next week but oh well, I'll have it when I get back.

Was the only guy at Radio Shack this morning (Only Dork sez the wife). When they opened another guy walked in right behind me. Turns out they only had 1 and I got it for 149, and then they offered me $106 for my iPhone 3G, which I took, so in the end $43 bucks for a phone that beats the pants off my old 3G for performance...
I admit I don't know if $106 for a so-so condition 3G is good or not, but if I consider I don't have to try and sell it, etc... and it would have sat in my drawer where it would be forgotten. All in all a good deal to me,

He ran the phone number, premier came up and it said the price was $100 for the phone or $400 for the dock and phone and I took the phone for $100 because I hadn't yet seen the tethering/hotspot fix info that came out earlier today.
The store said that the dock required the tethering deal which requiring giving up the unlimited data. My understanding is that is half correct: you don't need the tethering plan to have the dock but you need hotspot on the phone to make it work. I further understand that it is true that the tethering plan is not avaialble at any price with unlimited;
Has anyone found it yet at Costco who generally sweetens the deals very well with chargers and cases, and often discounts.

I can only chock it up as a premier flaw. Got two for $168 shipped, no contract extension. I still have yet to be charged for them, and somehow they removed my car dock on the order, so I think they really messed my order up. Anyhow, I'm way happy with this phone. This is how android is meant to be.

Unfortunately not since it is still a week away from being released. You might have to wait until Thanksgiving/Valentine's Day for the SGS3 to be free since they usually offer these specials around holidays.
I went into a Tmobile store for a new sim card and while I was there inquired about the terms. If I were eligible, I would have to change my plan and my per month cost would end up being much higher than it is now. So if you take them up on this, make sure you understand the terms and conditions as it is not as easy as walking in and getting a new phone for free. You have to pay the 300 (for the OneS) plus taxes and upgrade fees, keep the line open until you get your rebate back, and change your plan to one that may not be better for you.
If I had an upgrade available, I would buy it from Bestbuy as it is only 100 and you dont have to change your plan, just extend it. Plus no waiting for a rebate.

Well my upgrade is in November,
So they did not gave me no FREE phones,
But the rep said,
"I am putting a Note here on you account, That you can get Full Discount. And Sir if you wait one more week, you can get the SGS II with full discount. I am unsure of what will be the price, but it might be 199.99 with 2 yr agreement."

They run this sale quite often.

And changing data plan dosent extent your contract either!

About a year ago, I moved to the area whre TMO have horrible reception.
All I get is Voice Mails.
