Instructions:
*The .apk will not install like you are normally accustomed to. Instead, you will need to be rooted and follow the instructions below.
1. Download the file (Phonesky.apk) to your SD card.
2. In Root Explorer, find the file you just downloaded and copy it.
3. Move into /system/app and hit the R/W button to mount – then paste the file.
4. Find Vending.apk and rename it to something like Vending.apk1.
5. Long press on Phonesky.apk and rename it to Vending.apk.
6. Afterwards, long press on it again and choose “Permissions.”
7. Change the permissions to this: rw-r-r
8. Press “OK”, reboot and enjoy the new market.

I flashed cm7 nightly 218 yesterday I didn't need to flash gapps as the old market etc was already there, after using the market for the first time it updated itself to this one.

no. after using the market for the first time it updated itself to 3.1.5 not to 3.2.0
go to market -> settings and check Build Version

try this
1. Go to manage applications, all tab.
2. Go to market, clear cache, data and force stop
3. Go to Google Services framework, clear data and force stop
4. reboot
5. Open market, agree to TOS.
6. Go to manage applications, all tab.
7. Go to market, clear cache and force stop (DO NOT CLEAR DATA)
8. Go to Google Services framework, clear data and force stop
9. Open market, and you should get an error. (This is good)
10. Restart phone again.

when i checked the version its say 3.2.0 :/
It works perfect for me, except I'm missing that movies tab still.
Lost count of the amount of times I've uninstalled it to try to get it to work.

@Scratch0805, i just installed it, working fine and bit faster than version 3.1.6. But there is no movies tab here. I cleared all data of market and google services framework before installing and running this version(3.2.0). I think it is location based service.
Can't be location my phone has travelled the world today(market enabler) but still no joy.

Hey guys
Just rooted my milestone a853 today. I'm kinda newbie. Rooted through androidirani openrecovery
And then flashed the cm7 rom.
Then I installed the clockworkmod recovery mod manager app from the market and flashed the clockwork recovery.
But when I reebooted the phone to recovery. The phone turned off and the Moto logo came and after that the recovery screen appeared and within seconds it disappeared.
Help!

Clockwork Mod (CWM) does NOT work on Milestone. You need to reflash the vulnerable recovery SBF and start over again. Once you rooted it with AOR, you can flash CM7 all over again.

One more thing. How can I get the stock apps of milestone into this cm7 rom. I liked the old camera app with widescreen and in this the default message, music and video players are all not pleasing (kinda looks bad when compared to stock)
I liked the keyboard though.
Can anyone port out those cool and decent looking apps? Plz

Not guaranteed to work at all, but what you can try is to flash the VR, root the phone through OpenRecovery, then reboot to stock, and use root explorer to take apps you want from system/app. Then flash CM7 and place them in system/app with the same permissions as the ones in CM7 and reboot.
That might be your best bet to get them to work.

You just cant copy and paste apps from one rom to another. They are dependent on the framework. So what you are trying will not work.
So how will I get them? (Sorry m not a developer)

I think you need change only Update rar in SD card.
When you instal clockworkmod recovery update is change. You need update from OR-Open Recovery.
Hey guys I got a tweak from wolfs Rom working on my x10 that increases the signal greatly. Watch the how to video here. Works in all roms. (if you have Wolfs Rom this isnt necessary. He already has it)

I now have over a 10000 kbps connection just like his in the video. Pretty cool.
First step unzip the file in your sd card then open the file via root explorer
Next go into system/etc/init.d and copy the modules script using root explorer.
Next go to your system on the actual phone (not the sd card) then go.to etc then find the folder called init.d. (if you dont have it flash this via recovery) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1236446
Then place modules in the init folder.
Next go back to your sd card where the 4.0.4 thing is and go into system*etc and copy the entire. Install sh recovery folder then go back to the actual phone and go to.system/etc and just paste it there and select yes if it asks u to overwrite something.
Finally find the install recovery thing
you just copied and click it once and press execute.
Then your done.
How to test if it worked. Before u do the tweak download speed test from the market and test your current wifi speed. After tweak test it again. Note it may require a reboot.

you do realize that overwriting install-recovery.sh will overwrite any other init.d scripts the person might have and also any tweaks put in there by the dev (if you are using it on any other rom than wolfbreaks)?
You shouldn't be advising people to do stuff like this without at least warning them about what they're doing.

the new market is fantastic! I was still on the previous version, the one without the blocky design. I have to admit it was way faster, though

Then I use back old vending.apk push back and install
okay no problem
Then I install market 3.1.5 version
And keep pop out market.process force close
How to do ?
it act as normal application
Not system application
Once uninstall = gone
is it the only solution is reflash whole rom ?

Only thing I have noticed and if someone else could check is that when I click on the option to send the delevoper an email it fc. Tried on different apps to make sure it wasnt to a specific app.

Go to rom manager and download gtalk video update ...flash it two times back to back. Worked in 3.0...should in 3.1 too. If you get fc keep initiating video chat until it works. Mine fc on first couple tries after flashing

this location bug was fixed a long time ago. Before version 3.0. I forget who discoverd the fix..it was on Rootzwiki.
My GPS still wont work stand alone. I have to flash a sense rom...get lock and restore backup.
Even though this has the IMO 5.0.3 AOSP rom..it doesnt have speedtweak.sh script...but...those controls are replaced with liquid overclocking in liquid settings. Only thing is I cant run extreme w/o the script. I flashed the IMO kernel over the Rom and took care of it.
Also, with stock kernel setup...using Pandora I get brief pauses..skips when locking the screen or doing any cpu demanding things...This went away after flashing IMO latest kernel and running the speedtweak.sh. Not sure why it happens, but its fixable.
Im wondering how to enable swap on this rom. EDIT: In terminal type zram enable. Its remarkably fast on extreme setting at 1.4 gzh...I got friggen 2983 in quadrant.
The theme work in stock is great! Awesome work liquid! Dont even feel like running my skin. lol.

Cynogenmod 7.1.1...download....check new talk video (experimental)...it will download both...then reboot to recovery....install zip from sd...choose zip from sd....go to clockworkmod/download/goo-insideyou/ newtalk signed zip....
flash it 2 times back to back....reboot....enjoy talk video.
Liquid....you should start including this update with lib files in LGB3.xx

It will be uploaded tomorrow, I accidentally hit post instead of preview
EDIT: It's uploading now but its fully loaded and in its first build so the file size is quite hefty

I can't download this (get to the screen where it warns that the file is too large to scan for viruses and click on the link that says "download anyway"), but I really, really want to!

I even tried to select the option to use Drive to download it, and it wanted to use Archive Viewer, and it downloaded, and then I couldn't save it as a zip.

a md5 would be useful for such a big download, just saying...
EDIT: also, is there a reason for two system folders in the zip? (/system and /system/system) cause that is where the big file size is coming from ...
Managed to get this up and running. Had some problems with FC's but those seemed to have worked themselves out.
Need to play with it some more and download again to rule out those pesky FC's.

I downloaded this ROM and it seemed pretty good but I am experiencing a lot of force closes as well. Gapps is force closing, Google.acore, the launcher was also another thing that force closed. Is there fix to these? I see someone else said they seemed to work themselves out but mine has not so far after 2 reboots. One other thing that is force closing that is BIG for me was Facebook.
Fresh install wiped everything before and after install. I also tried fixing permissions.
Edit:
I'm also having issues with downloading content from the playstore. For example I've downloaded XDA but its not showing in my app drawer. I have to open the playstore and then click open to access the app. Most apps will not even download. I get an error stating I Dont have efficient space which is not true at all.
Will downloading new gaps fix this issue and if so where can I obtain the latest gapps file?

Put in the OP that you have to format all partitions in ext3. Also you may need to change the updater script in your zip to format in ext3.

I'm having no issues downloading this so far. It's not done yet but it's downloading none the less. And this file size is small compared to some of the Sense roms I've installed

Im re-uploading the rom bc i accidentaly had 2 system folders haha, the new file size is 257mbs, should be up w/in the next 2 hours, make sure you read the install instructions this time
