indroid is indeed a very good rom
but i prefer the previous version (5.2) its a bit faster
but i use the moste customized apps from version 6

I would Flash cm7 alpha 6 update 1, its actually the bes rom, but if you need Bluetooth, Flash kyrillos rom v7. 1(i Have it and im satisfied).

last 4 day i have flash Dutchmods v4.0 and its quite stable and looks good for daily use
but in dutchmod i m add some new script,framework-res.apk and change file system and its good not any issue but add CMbins v0.3 and some apps are force close other is going smooth.
thank u for suggest me Dutchmods v4.0 Blackyx007 ,deff_ins
but waiting kyrillos v8 bcoz lots of my friends using kyrillos v7 and its good, but to kyrillos told me that he will RELEASED v8 soon as possible so waiting but now dutchmod going good and good and good

i was on Kyrillo's 4.0 then shifted to InDroid v6
known bugs in ROM InDroid v6 (waiting for next release)
back on Kyrillo's 7.1 Non-OC

Version 6 of the indroid ROM is apparently a bit of a problem for most people
But I've used it for one week and had some minor problems but in my opinion it remains a wonderful ROM and after the fixes I had to aply the rom was stable and very good looking
But I still prefer the previous version (version 5.2) due to better performance since you can download all the custom apps from the OTA app I'll wait for next version of the indroid rom

from my experience, the bestest rom is kyorarom (for daily use of a newby) because it has SUPER MEGA LONG BATTERY LIFE and good "graphics" (im assuming you mean theme -_-) its also pretty fast and has lots of apps to play with
if your not complete noob and like to do more than just look at your phone, kyrillos rom is kinda awesome, fast good looking, good battery and kyrillos himself is really nice and will probably look after you if you need help (hillbeast does that too, he makes kyorarom, and more )
if you have india firmware right now, just give sekhy rom a try the v8.4.. it looks cool and everything but i dont have india rom right now and im too lazy
if you want epic animations, cool everything and ginger bread, kyrillos rom v10. epicest epic.
i dont know why but i never try dutchmod rom (even kyorarom i tried only once)
lestatious rom if you want performance (use with fugumod kernel, its fast at loading things and playing games and so on)
sys-mod rom is quite promising, try it out, its quite good...
sorry if i forgot anyones rom i have weak memory

Lesti ROM, Krillios ROM, XXJPL

I've been meaming to install a Froyo based ROM for a while now. Since JPL came out yesterday, I've been thinking about flashing it. But I've heard a lot of nice things about the custom JPF ROMs.
I guess the real question is: Is there anything really useful of the new JPL ROM that makes it so much better over JPF? Because obviously between JPF and Krillios or Lesty's JPF there is really no contest.

Try a custom rom. JPL has not many differences from JPF!
Try it Kyrillos' ROM v2.3! Stable and fast.
Oh, and nice.
I use his ROMs a few weeks and I haven't got a problem.
I like it very much.

Hey Kyrillos, I finally have froyo on my galaxy 3, and I can't express how happy iam with the Rom you made for us.
I am using v2.3 and this was very easy to install for a newbie like me.
However I wanted to ask you one question what exactly does the "Select_this_in_CSC" do, I got the desktop after loading PDA after JPF
then why we needed CSC,
please don't get angry with newbie question, this is first time I fingered my android.
Many thanks.

Just to ask you, did yu try JPL....??
today installed JPL and doesn't seem any problem with this firmware I'm not using GPS so cant say if there are any improvements
kyrillos roms are very nice... but the indroid rom seems to be nice to...
I used Lestatious v1.2 and works very good for me!
Kyrillos Rom is simply the best one it is super fast and smooth

Why don't you just flash each of those? It'll give you some much needed experience...
You don't need to setup the whole stuff you're about to use later. Just flash and play(tm)

I see that similar stuff is already posted in dev but maybe posting it here can speed up update
I have a problem with seach in Kyrillos 2.3
Long press on left do not open Search and from menu I get Search where I can not write anything. I was thinking that JPF search should still be there?
I have chosen Kyrillos ROM 3.0 beta. Not tried Lestatious, but tried Indroid 2.0. Indroid isn't for me so "polished" yet as Kyrillos ROM. And Kyrillos ROM is fast. very fast.
I tried Kyrillos' ROM v2.3 and i am very satisfied, i use this ROM from 2 days and is very very fast than JPF, my previous firmware on phone. In this weekend i will flash 3.0 Final version!
mmmm ... I am waiting for Kryillos 3 final version
guys any custom rom which has been made using current samsung 2.2 release
I'm waiting kyrillos 3.0 final release to flash my first custom rom, but I have a question (or a suggestion) for the developer. Is it possibile to add in 3.0 rom a feature to eliminate the rings or vibrations when the charge is complete?
thanks and good job, lots of people I'm talking with are very excited for your roms!
I am using Kyrillos 2.0 and its very stable, fast and cool. Just waiting for 3.0... maybe this week.
JPL..inDroid!!
yesterday, i flashed JPL firmware and i liked it better than any other past firmwares....yeah, better than JPF...

[Q] why are you flashing unstable ROMS? (please read)

hello all i recently joined xda because i bought samsung galaxy 3. now as i have been looking for the rom threads in developement section i noticed that i cant post there so i read couple of rom threads and i was stunned. as i see there are 4 main rom makers, lastatious, kyrillos, apocalyps and greenmod. but when i first watched lastatious rom thread i saw that there are MANY problems in lastatious 1.8 also the same thing happened in apocalyps thread, people complain about the rom and they say it crashes/freezes a lot and some even say that they have flashed their phone with the same rom over and over again (like atleast 5times) and still they complain... but when i watched kyrillos and greenmod rom thread people said that they are almost bug free, even tough that greenmod rom is in beta it looks like its far more stable than apocalyps. and as i see it kyrillos rom is more stable than lastatious(and it isnt in beta) but most of the people will flash their rom with unstable lastatious or apocalyps... why? and if the rom wont work they will flash it again and again... why? why wont you use almost bug free roms instead of crashing/freezing rom? as i see it lastatious and apocalyps are the most downloaded and favorited roms but they are also very unstable roms... and this post was not a hate post to the great rom developers out there, i just dont get it... please reply to my post
p.s this was too big first post right?
Hmm... I don't know (about the unstable ROM flashing) p.s that was quite big post but it doesn't matter p.p.s yes you need 10 posts to post on Dec section

yeah i mean dev thanks for clearing that up
I myself do it to help the developer by testing his ROM and all of It's features, and then report results to the dev. Seeing as I've got very minimal skills or brain to contribute in the development I see it as the least I can do.
i tryed some. kyrillos did with every reboot a factory reset? i couldnt install apps and my phone got really hot i flashed it twice.. i tryed apocalypse but i got a softbrick when i rebooted my phone? I flashed back to indroid everytime becouse that one worked perfectly but when greenmods v1.0 is ill flash that one. it has 1% battery mod and it has neon theme that i like (sorry for my english)
Lestatious 1.7 worked bug-free.
Lestatious 1.8 has some minor issues with the kernel and Data2SD.
I'd still say Lestatious is the best ROM for me!
Sent From My 1.3GHz Galaxy 3 Lestatious V2 ACID (Build 1.8)
It's the urge to stay on the cutting edge and also the psychology of greener grass. I'm taking more of a backseat now as opposed the first few weeks of having the phone.
why flash unstable / beta ROMs? If you mean mindless flashing ('WOW, cool name, let's flash!!!') then I don't know
but if you want to help with development, testing, reporting bugs, contribute somehow, then it is perfectly justified
Apocalypse is in beta stage and of course it may have some bugs but will be fixed untill the final release.
Lestatious i think its a stable rom but v1.8 has an alpha version kernel which is not as stable as beta or final.
My rom has also an alpha version kernel with some freezes rarely.

I flashed your rom 4.1 directly from DDJP2 with the hope that the camera and the faceobook touch site would open. But still it has the camera bug. So i changed to Stock european version new release. XWJPF and i like it.
Though its has the camera bug and facebook touch site wont open. Do you have any solution for this???
DDJP6>DDJP2>Kyrillos 4.1>XWJPF
Will be waitng for your reply soon.
people flash unstable roms because they want to support the developer and test out some of the newer features of the rom. if nobody tests them, how are they gonna stamp out the bugs? unless you want to stick to the boring stock g3.
unstable as it is, its not like any real damage is done. whatever happens, you can just reflash it. no biggie

I dont think so because it was working perfect on my Stock eclair DDJG6. But after upgraing i am having this prblm. My camera is working perfect but if the location is enabled and if i dont have lock on my position my camera would force close if a click a photo. But if its turned off it works flawlessly. And in FROYO their isnt any option for turning off Geo-tagging.
Do you have any solution for this prblem..or a most stable ROM that doesnt have any prblm.

hi
i think u got ur answers here
but i have been using kyrillos13 recent rom and its quite stable and good for me
i think its more what one wants if ur a basic user like me its ok. IF u are a heavy user that is u want LWP gps & blah blah then yes u would have many problems
and no matter how good the rom is overclocking is always gona give u the problem because the manufacture has a reason why he has made the phone for a certain speed we try to boost it very very high then their will be a problem
somewhere i read that a +10to 15% is ok but guys here boost it like double so ur bound to get problems
Well basically we all like to stay on the current situation...coz if u miss out on sumthing ull get thrown behind eons...so its better to stay updated here on xda!
Plus checking out alphas betas n oder stable ROMs is quite fun...u get a look of what oder smart-brained dev did to ur fone frm a piece of junk to a heavenly piece!...Happy Flashing!

[Q] InDroid 4.3 vs Kyrillos' rom

Hi, please, can you say me, what are biggest diferences between this 2 roms? Thank you for your questions
well i prefere indroid becouse of the theme changer and font changer. i don't think kyrillos has these for the rest there are not much diffrences i think
Thank you for your answer. Please, can you write me, which are apllications in Kyrillos' rom 5.4 ? Do you know how to delete aplications included in rom? In InDroid, there are some apps which are not good for me and I want to remove them
maybe u can use the thanks buttonyes, u can with root explorer. go to system/app and delete the apps u don't like i deleted like 7 apps in indroid if u wanna know stock apps, read kyrillos thread u can try both if u like. http://jaxov.com/2010/09/how-to-remove-stock-default-android-apps-easily/
