Hello everybody,
I was planning to use a new bootscreen/bootlogo for my custom kernels
the bootscreen/bootlogo (if selected) will be used on my kernels for the following devices:
Xperia X10
Xperia Arc
Xperia Play
Xperia Neo
Xperia Mini
Xperia Mini Pro
Xperia Ray
others
i have the following technical requirements:
static iamge (as a wallpaper)
256 colors
height -> 854px
width -> 480px
BMP format
The picture may refer to/have text -> "DooMKernel", "XDA developers", "Xperia", "Android"
the bootscreen/image must be attached in ur post to this thread...
if selected i will need the BMP format to be uploaded and sent to me via p.m. and ofcourse u will be credited as the author of the image...
hope to see some good designs!

there is the possibility to flash rle with fastboot like
fastboot flash splash1 image.rle
fastboot flash splash2 image.rle
just read about that somewhere.. but as there is less time in my life currently I could not search for how to save the files as rle, neither if this syntax is correct.
But that was worth a try, as you always can access fastboot on this kernel.

I don't know that's going wrong!
The cab contains the files that replace the original animated.gif, welcomehead.192.png and bootuphtc.wav.
Open registry and make sure that for the following keys are like these:
HKLM>Software>HTC>HTCAnimation>StartupGif>\Windows\animated.gif
HKLM>Software>HTC>HTCAnimation>StartupWav>\Windows\BootUpHTC.wav

There was nothing in there so i added them but still nothing, Ive uploaded a ss to see if I'm doing something wrong. I have tried it with and with out spaces. I'm using Dia Duit ROM v1.6.8.

I believe the problem it's found in your ROM. It uses other method so that it presents amimation.

The Gingerbread keywoard doesn't support an other language than the english one instead of it says that the dictionnaries are present (but doesn't work : if you change the language, and reboot or not, the only intuitive language is still the english one)

IN my opinion the kernal boot logo must be simple & elegant , resembling makers name

I would say, the one with the text for which button enters which recovery but use the xperia text from the first solution.

Will the new bootanimation a complete animation. Now when I boot the unlocked bootloader I see first picture of doomkernel v5 and after that the intro of Sony Ericsson gingerbread 2.3.3.

Try and tell it depends on adb commands so it' almost for all devices :good:
