Well some apps that you can not download from the market is for a reason. Cuss they can NOT run on 2.1. Voice search 2.1.4 for instance, Perfect Keyboard. Ect

[Q] Google Maps 4.5 unable to install on HD2 Android

So this is my first thread and I'm not really sure if this is the right place to post this topic.
Basically the title says it all.
FYI:
running darkstone's FroyoStone v2
Code:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=747492
unmounting the SD card before attempting to install
un-installing Google Maps 4.4 before attempting to install using Titanium Backup and still no luck
What I'd like to know is if there is a work-around and if not at least a reason why it's unable to install.
I second this
I also have this problem and just wanted to ring in, I suppose we could just try a different build.

Do you know if it's just FroyoStone related though, or just any hd2 android build
Conflikt Icey,
If you had read the thread or at least did a search for maps in Darkstone's ROM thread you would have found this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=8096500&postcount=3117
It worked for anyone that tested it, so I suppose it will work for you too...
I had problems installing on HyperDroid 1.2 and, at some point in time, it installed behind my back.

Tried it, didn't work for me. The directory structure was different to that.
Anyone got any further suggestions? I can't be the only one with this problem surely as I am using FroyoStone V2 which seems to be pretty popular.
I couldn't install it with HyperDroid 1.2 but now with Bangsters 1.3 it worked without a problem. You just have to do the installation manually.

Yeah I just tried Bangsters build too and it installed without any issues. So I guess it's build related

Just go to the market, select Maps and then update. It's relatively straight-forward

What are you on about?
I have version Apps2SD Ad-Free 1.0.7 on a stock & lite ning rom v5 on my SGS2 with no issues.
If the app is not workina as should uninstall it and download a new build and see from there.

There's already an option to move applicable apps to SD on the S2. So why the need for Apps2SD?

Error

I have just started my brand new x8, so nothing is changed with it, I try and download an app from the internet and when I go to install it I get 'There is a problem parsing the package', I have tried many different app installers, but still no luck.
Thanks very much for all replies
some apps need to run on a newer version of amdroid, for example app2sd (wich transfers your installed apps to your micro sd card) requires android 2.2 or higher to run, but the stock Sony Ericsson firmware is android 2.1 so until you install a new ROM e.g. Froyobread (Android 2.2) or GingerDX (Android 2.3) you wont be able to run certain apps
Beans
Sent from my X8 using XDA Premium App
Thanks, any idea on how to install 2.2 on it

Hey guys I just made a step down from a galaxy s 4g to the hd2 I installed cm7 2.3.7 SD build ithink and its great but thereis a fue problems that I have
Is it me or is everything supposed to be tiny
It says the phone is not compatible with apps like Firefox and lane splitter I know these work because they do with 2.2
If all I have to do is Chanel log or fix permissions how do I do it I love this rom but these problems are urking my nurves
Edit your build.prop file so that your density is set to 240 (default).

This is a known glitch from the market, some devices have problems with it, try looking into http://www.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/ha5oh/root_how_to_edit_your_buildprop_to_make_netflix/ or http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=13735230&postcount=504
That should do it.

To fix permissions you just have to run ROM manager and click on fix permissions, it will run and you're done. But that personally didn't work for me.

I think the best thing to do with the market is downgrade it and keep it that way, I'm gonna try it soon too (have the same probs).

- You can change the dpi to get bigger icons (standard = 240)
- Have you installed the newest market? if so, try the old one
- Disable compatible mode in spare parts
- Fix permissions is in the cwm menu
Search a little bit, and you will find
Thanks guys appreciate this alot hope it works how can I downgrade my market when I download it it doesn't. Install

Settings --> Applications --> All --> Market --> Uninstall Updates
This should do the trick for you.......
Thanks ill try that ...... I domt want to b a pain in the -*- but I did the build.prop stuff like 5 times abd it just goes back to 165 instead of 240 and I do click save and exit
Try to do it through the phone directly. Get ES file explorer through android market, its free and it will let you change the build.prop. Just don't forget to give it superuser permissions.
Hope this one helps.

HTC HD2
ACA GB 237 CM7
kernel 2.6.32.15
NAND Android ROCKS!
+1. And if that doesn't work, you can try Root Explorer. It costs about $5 through the market, but it has always done anything I need it to do.

[Q] wAppStore full apps

I have installed the wp7.8 rom on my omnia 7.
After installation I also installed the latest version of wAppStore.
Before installing wp7.8 I could use wAppStore to download full versions of application from the microsoft store. But now after installing wp7.8 and reinstalling wAppStore I cannot find any paid applications anymore...
Could someone tell me why? And eventually how to change this so that it can find, download and install full apps...
