android injector fail to install - G1 General

I m trying to install linda file manager.so I currently use android injector. The driver is installed and work properly with adb comand.android injector can see the device but it is unable to install any apps.it give me thise error message
pkg: /data/local/tmp/Linda.apk
Failure [-12] .my version is rc29.Have you any idea?

Did you turn on the install from unknown source?
And try putting the apk on your SD card and install from there.

Yes I did but I think I need a file manager to install from sdcard. How to get one?

Which ROM do you have again? Couldn't you just download it from the market? Just a little confused.

Help: i am blocked

Hi,
How to install apk when:
- data connexion doesn't work
- there is no file browser installed by default by the build
- adding apk into Android/SystemApps or into Android/AndroidApps doesn't work befroe installing the build
I tried to use also I2APK but my HD2 is not recognized in windows XP: on the HD2 which usb mode i have to use in this case: charge only? Disk drive? ...
I havae already check the USB debugging mode.
Please help me
Regards
Two options you got:
1. Wi-Fi which I assume u dont have ;-);
2. Download Droid Explorer on your computer (http://de.codeplex.com/) and install it. It detects your Android phone. You can install applications to your phone from there.
Hope it helps.
Thanks
This is assuming you're running with the folder name Android:
If it doesn't exist already, create a folder called AndroidApps under your Android folder. Copy the apk that you want to install into that folder. Reboot. (I'd suggest putting a file browser in there like astro or es file explorer). Most builds I've used will install whatever is in that folder on bootup. (When I do a new build, I usually put mybackuppro apk in there, so I can boot up and restore all my data and apps.)

Already done (see my post1) but with this ROM MCCM_HD_V1.2_Beta_3 it has no effect....
I used to do the same as you: all my favorite apk inside this rep.
Regards
- all builds will have android market in it, so download "Linda file manager"
- boot back to winmo
- connect device to pc (usb)
- transfer all your .apk files (assuming you got it in your pc) to a folder (its up to you to name this) in the sd card.
- boot back to android, open up Linda file manager and search for that folder
- there you can install the .apk files you got
Or use adb. Just get your right drivers installed

You just have to make sure the HD2 is booted into Android. Second thing is to make sure you exit out of HTC Sync program. Check in your system tray and right click and exit from it before launching Droid Explorer.
It works for me always.
Edit: n I dont have to choose any option on the HD2 screen, or you can choose 'Charge Only'. That works fine.

Thanksss
Done....
After a few hours on the net and with your advises i succeeded in installing ES File browser and every thing is OK now.
Just for my own information i tried to find a clear tuto of how to use adb and i couldn't find one: have you got one?
I need absolutly to install Android SDK?
What is the Good driver?
If i install this new driver it is not a risk of bad recognition if i connect my HD2 in WinMo mode?
For Droid explorer and I2apk it is this driver which is missign too?
Which USB mode on my HD2 device i have to choose to connect to adb? to droid or I2apk soft?
Regards and thanks again to everybody.
PS: @jigners: As i said i my first post Market Place didn't work because of non data connexion.

Found Fix For This Issue
I had the same issue after upgrading to MIUI 2.3.4. Computer didnt know what the device was anymore, so could not run ADB commands to the device.
1. Open SDK Manager
2. Update all packages (Make sure to include Google USB drivers Rev 4)
3. Run through the window prompts to find it
4. When windows fails to find the driver browse manually
5. Find the directory where your SDK is installed to
6. Select the folder and Install

Problems rooting flipout "Application Not Installed"

Hi all,
I recently got my new flipout and I'm trying to root it.
I copied the UniversalAndRoot to my SD card and tried to launch it with Astro file manager. After the warnings the application manager issues I get an "Application Not Installed" message, how can I workaround this ?
Thanks
The best way to do it is to use the Android SDK to push the apk to the device.
Connect your device to your computer, enable USB debugging (in settings->Applications->Developer) and in your terminal, type
Code:
adb -d install "path to universal androot apk"
Of course, you'll need a functional environment for Android 2.1, http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html
Thanks for the response, I was able to root the device using z4root.
Another question though - I've replaced the fonts to the DejaVu one, which helped showing hebrew characters but in hebrew text (left-to-right) the numbers in the text appear in the reverse direction. Anyone have the same issue or know how to solve is deeply greeted.
Thanks,
Ohad

help trying to make a goldcard!!

i'm trying to follow the steps that i've found on making a goldcard so I can root my mytouch 3g 1.2. however, everytime I try to install the ADB, it says a java develop kit is not installed, so it tells me to go to oracle.com and download the kit first. So i go there and download the 72mb file and install it, try to run the ADB program, and it keeps telling me that i need a JDK installed to run the program. I dunno wtf to do. been stuck for a while now any help would be greatly appreciated!! thanks!
you need this file; https://cds.sun.com/is-bin/[email protected]_Developer is it the one you're downloading?

Yotaphone 2 drivers

Hi, where can I find the correct drivers for Yotaphone 2? I tried the driver that comes with the flasher tool, but somehow it does not install (yes, I right-clicked on the INF file and selected Install, but nothing happened after that)
Thanks in advance for the help!
Right clicking the INF file and selecting install most of the time doesn't yield any results on screen. It is a silent install. You can check if they are installed by comparing the size of the installed androidusb.sys in C:\Windows\System32\drivers with the size in the AMD64 and i386 folders in the yotaflasher folder. It is either 31kb (AMD64) or 26kb (i386).
Drivers
Thanks for the reply.
I checked the system folder on my PC, and the drivers were not installed. Somehow clicking on "Install" for the INF file does nothing
Is there some other way to install the drivers? Can I simply copy the driver files to the system folder
Drivers
Hi, does anyone have a suggestion to install the drivers? I am on Windows 10

You can try installing the default Google drivers. You can find everything you need in this thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979
You use device manager to install " legacy drivers" and "have disk" , it is mentioned several times here including the one above.
Drivers
Hi, I really appreciate the replies and patience with this
I already tried that but I get the message:
The folder you specified doesn't contain a compatible software driver for your device. If the device contains a driver, make sure it is designed to work with Windows for x64-based systems
What do I need to do?
These worked for me:
http://adbdriver.com/downloads/
Thanks, sonof.
I tried the installer from the link you gave.
Somehow it is not showing any detected device at all.
How do I get it to detect my phone in order to install the driver?
Did you solve it? I have the same problem, can't see the device...
