In the latest release of HTC Messaging (version 1.5 Build 2011.2130 or later) the RTL support has been implemented but not enabled by default except for the GCC ROMs (Arabic ROM)… so here is a small cab that will enable the RTL support.
Make sure you have the HTC Messaging version 1.5 Build 2011.2130 to install the attached cab or later otherwise install this update to get to version 1.5 Build 2011.2130 ....

Note this fix will work on any device that has Sense 2.5

what is RTL support? ( I guess it has nothing to do with the german tv station RTL *hihi* )
lool don't know that channel.. what i mean by RTL is Right to Left Support.. some languages like Arabic are read from right to left unlike English and others which are read Left to Right (LTR)

Dose this fix the problem with the arabic fonts not showing in mms/sms ?
Got a swedish Htc rom vr 1,48 .. and cant see any sms/mms with arabic fonts! ?
no it won't.. you will need to install mobidiv Arabic package in order to view Arabic characters ..
this will only fix the direction of the text

I installed the HotFix_PD_SMS_2001.3631 and after it the pd sms fix,
not working for hebrew...
don't understand why, because hebrew like arabic, it's RTL,
the problem in my sms that in the text massege all the words fine but the sentence organized reversed. for example : "I LOVE YOU"
seems like " you love I " in hebrew of course...
somebody can help ?

I got my new htc HD2 - i need RTL for my HTC HD2 ROM1.66.707.1 (76641) WWE.
I installed hebrew support - but i cant find any RTL support for the HEBREW regional settings.
i tried install this file - HebrewEnabled_v1.0.cab
i can see hebrew letter - but only in LTR mode.

please its the only reason stopping me from enjoying them
why you want arabic rom if you already know english .... you can use opera browser if you want arabic support browser..... cm supports arabic fonts too
i dont want the arabic menu,actually i hate it and can't stand it,i want arabic in application and web browser,and no browser can read arabic letter connected ....
I use Wolfbreak's CM 6.1.3 V053, it support arabic very well, and for the browser use opera mini 6 , it support arabic 100% .. but if you're in Syria it won't work til you use openvpn !! for operator reasons .

firefox 4.0 and Opera Mini 5 are supporting arabic font ! but ... (flash, speed ....)

man i wanna ask u about openvpn,i was using it and there was no problem,but now it wont work any more
and to run the market i should put the phone on airplane mode and use the openvpn to make it work cause google detect the sim card too

I was working on an android 2.2 tablet and moved to Iconia android 3.0 and encounter one issue when using flash plugin :
- I bought a custom development on freelancer: the app is very simple, it launches my all flash website in full screen. It was working perfectly on 2.2
- Now it does not work on 3.0 : I get a blank screen.
This is all the more strange as the default browser (Chrome) can launch my apps without any problem....
Since the developper is not answering my email anymore, I need to fix this by myself. Anybody would know why my apps would not use the flash plugin while the default browser does ?
edit : I installed dolphin HD and it is the same : it cannot use the flash plugin !! really strange. Hence my question : where is the link between browser and flash plugin set up ??

I fixed the issue with dolphin : just needed to enable all plugin !
I thought : the default browser of the Iconia tab is chrome, my app is using the android default browser, so the issue must be to enable flash plugin in default android browser... but I have no access to its settings !
does anybody know how to launch the default android browser ?

I'm not sure how to make the browser support arabic. But for the arabic keyboard, you can try one of these apps:
smart Keyboard
Perfect Keyboard
both support arabic well and both are easy to configure and use.
If you can't find them on the market use google

Or use MultiLing Keyboard, found in Market.
You have to install the plugin first.

For browsing Arabic-content web you've to use Opera browser
i think opera is more useful and better than firefox
for reading text books .. I install Al-Shamela Books Lib App (قارئ كتب المكتبة الشاملة )
and it's full of good books and it's free to use

Thanks Dude for your effort but did you check this method , it will Solve the arabic issue totally on your device and u'll have a full RTL support but you have to run Urukdroid in order to be able to follow the steps of this method:

ooh thanks .. i saw these steps before but i don't know if urukdroid run on 2.4.80 version .. and these steps need to make a root .. and I don't know if I can make a root for 2.4.80 ... I don't know anything because I'm Mr. 2-weeks-android user
