Enjoy!

I just tried out both your battery mods, and they both are awesome. One question though...I don't know if its possible or not, but is there a way to get rid of the color changing feature and just make it the same color as the other buttons on the bar? I only ask because I'm completely weirdo and want it to match. Thanks for the cool mods though, I like seeing actual numbers for my battery so I know for sure how charged up I am.
P.S. What theme/launcher are you using? I really like the 3D app buttons.

Thanks.
Which battery mod are you wanting to be one color? Also I presume you are using stock Menu buttons (blue) and stock ROM right? In the kitchen there is a 'Circle Battery' that is blue throughout the range; I could do this one for you in a couple of minutes.
If you want one of the ones in my original post, it will take me a little bit of time to re-color the icons. Just let me know which.
I'm using the stock launcher- The App icons are all from this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=16493815&postcount=662 Enjoy.

Will these work with 3.2 based roms?

No. Not as-is.
If you want I can make which ever battery mod you like specifically for your ROM. I'll need your framework-res.apk to do so. Just pm me.

Thanks, worked like a charm! And thanks for the app icons, desktop visualizer with that icon pack makes my home screen look amazing.

Awesome .
Can you make a digi-wifi ? Pretty please
The digi-battery font is too large.
Any chance you can make it the same size as the clock font ?

Explain the 'digi-wifi' request for me, I don't understand what you mean.

Maybe he means a numbered % in place of the boring inverted triangle.

Yes i want a wifi signal. Not a couple of bars that dont mean anything.
Wifi signal is a negative number though. So it is 0 dBm to -100 dBm.
And its way more accurate if the update interval is set properly.

Gotcha.
Unfortunately I don't know if that can be done. I don't know of a way to make the system actually 'read' the wifi value and display it. The way systemUI uses the icons now is just displaying them in a sequence of 4-5 icons (not including traffic) in a preset value order.
I could make up a few -numbered values in photoshop to use them as icons but they would be just as 'meaningless' as 4 bars.
Sorry.

bump for peeps

How do you change icons images with the stock launcher?
I downloaded them and desktop visualizer but the images remain tiny.
I tried it with vtl launcher...icons still are small?
Id like to stick with the vtl launcher so i may have to keep the small icons ill play around a little more.

[Battery % MOD] PureOxygen v1.0 for DevNull

03/08 - Updated for DevNull 1.1 (Older versions still available)
While I think some of the aftermarket battery % icons are supercool, I've been looking for something that integrates into the ROM flawlessly (or at least is close). So I decided to create my own.
PureOxygen attempts to provide a battery % icon set which (hopefully) seems like it is (and always was) part of the original Gingerbread ROM.
PureOxygen Principles
1. The readability of the % number of remaining battery is more important than the icon itself.
2. The icon should however, still give an easy to gauge, visual indication of battery life. For example, seeing an indicator showing something as 60% full seems to give a better appreciation of 60% than simply displaying the number 60%!
Flash the zip in recovery (nandroid first just in case!). If flashing devNull for the first time, boot at least once into the ROM before attempting to flash PureOxygen to avoid bootloops.

Sure, no problem!
A question, please, on the recharge idea. I have seen two different ways to display icons while recharging: (1) have the same flash symbol all the way, plus a minor sign indicating how far it has gone (your way); (2) an alternation of 1.5 sec of the flash sign for x% with 0.5 sec. of the load sign for x%.
While it is a matter of taste, and I actually like the (2)-nd option, my question is: what are the disadvantages of such a way, since it is far less used than (1).
Thank you for your contribution.

Hey, I don't think there are any disadvantages to the second way. As you say, it is a matter of preference. I actually had my setup as your second way for a while until ClassicalGas released his smooth charge xml. To be honest, I'm still not sure which I prefer.

The only problem with the clear button at the bottom of the notifications is that if you have a lot of notifications the clear button is way at the bottom. Nice work though....

On the bottom is more convenient (closer to thumb) most of the time, but other ways have their perks too. Works great on CL3ANTH3ORY. Love the love for those of us who like recent apps in the notification bar. Wide button works full length as expected, nice.

Sorry, but this doesn't look good. Too many colours.
You have to keep one style, so it'll look much better. For example, black with blue accents (battery, scrolling glow effect, icons etc.)
Watch other great themers' works (like ZduneX25 or AChep) - everything is concerted and doesn't hurt our eyes.
Your battery indicator changes colours, volume bar is purple, but scroll bar and overscroll glow are bright green.
but, I think, your pop-up window looks good (except that also icons are grey and they melt into the background).
Good luck.

[Theme]4.4.2 Black and white Settings Tab 3 8" with new lockscreen effects enabled
BLACK AND WHITE SETTINGS
Here we go again, i'm working to give to our Tab in the Kit Kat version the dark Android interface as found on nearly all Android releases. New mods and some Tab S style and apk
This will improve battery performance, and in my opinion better visibility.
Let's start with settings with new lockscreen effects enabled(after reboot will revert to none... still under fixing )

PS pop style as above will be in inverted style not in tab S style, as you need framework, which has still some unreadability issues, it is under fixing, but give me time, very busy and tired, so theme is slowly going on
Let's say that my spirit here on XDA is help, share, read, read then read again... so on next posts i will add a how to for modders/themers/developers.

me too , we are on the same boat , with touchwiz 4.2.2 it became semi-impossible to theme settings :silly::silly:
Hi, tell me off if this is a silly question, I see you're all using the 8" would this work on the 7" running S.E.A.L ROM?
Cheers.
It is not been tested.... but u can try, and replace in restore zip secsettings and secsettingsprovider from your rom as backup.... so in case smthg goes wrong yo'LL go back in no time.

Hi everyone. Just confirming. At this time, this will theme the settings screens only with the dark theme ?
Downloading it to flash now, and just checking.
Anyway I can help, just holler. I will test anything for you all.

Im using V6 with the Galatab kernel and TWRP.
Wiped cache 3x before and davlik/cache after 1x.
Settings screens are perfect and just like the screenies you posted.
I love the dark theme blue/gray/black combo. Easy to look at and much better than the white (IMHO)
I did notice that the tick boxes and on/off buttons are still bright green, which doesn't blend with the colors.
Can I change the colors in wanam or is that a theme thing ?
Regardless, the settings screens are spot on. Thanks for doing this theme. I have a feeling it will
be an outstanding one when completed.

Awesome! Settings FC for me when I try to select the battery mod

For your FC try the updated file. I just checked and it does not FC for me clicking on the battery button.
Also, Ive been trying to flash this using TWRP (2.5 and 2.6 version) and never was able to...it would say successful but the colors
hadn't changed. I finally switched to Philz and it worked right away. Don't know why, but Philz did it for me.

Change DPI without root

So today someone I work with from SlimRoms found you can quickly change the dpi of any device running 4.4.2 (not sure if it's possible before that).
I'd post this in Android General, but I don't want to step on his feet, so I'm just posting it here for you guys. (I really hate large text/icons/anything on Android since I'm short sighted)
home screen:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
app drawer:
Obviously I take no responsibility for any issues it causes since it's a purely aosp implementation. I was surprised it was even in user builds.
so. how to do it:
Code:
adb shell wm density <number> # I used 200
or with a terminal emulator (you need root for this [try without to see why you need root]):
Code:
su -c 'wm density <number>'
if you want to go back to the default, do
Code:
wm density reset
The default density is 240 for reference. Lowering the number makes the icons smaller.
Enjoy, and credit to @gmillz from Slimroms for finding this
Sorry for an off topic question, but what's that TESCO icon in your status bar??? Seems like operator name, but I've got XT1022 from India but this operator name doesn't gets displayed this way... Not that I miss it though...
This would be really helpful for the damn big icons in the Google Now Launcher.

it sucks. I don't mind it on the drop notification drawer, but on the status bar........
Oh I didn't know you can do this without root.
Now I can make everything bigger because icons etc are too small imo.

It would be removed in the 4.4.3 update though, at least that's what the Moto guys has said.

It's part of stock android. Why would you even bring it up to them? It's just asking for it to be removed.

They must be kidding like a Customer Care executive messing up with their customers, telling its part of stock android.

Its incredibly bigger than the icons displayed in stock launcher though. Its not that ugly but I guess it reduced the icon image clarity.

No, don't say anything else to them about this. It should never have been brought up.
oem's don't like people messing with their stuff. Sure I made this public, but you just set off smoke signals saying "hey look over here. We're messing with something that would be so simple to get rid of. Are you gonna keep it in??"

No, my message wasn't exactly in par with that, because I'm thinking Motorola would've made it wisely to identify carrier name immediately when you start using your phone, sure dragging the notification bar takes time. My old Nokia 1100 had similar fashion carrier name in the left section, and battery bars in right, so I must say its fair enough by them to follow the General cellular phone screen layout guidelines.

I fixed it with xposed. And the quality will not be worse because android has every image in many resolutions
