He is obviously mentally challenged and just filling the board up with his drivel.
Get rid of him.

Either ban him, or what also would probably work is that we just ignore him. Hopefully he will get bored and annoy someone else.

It will NEVER happen. I've been thru lots and lots of sites like this and they all have two things in common: There's always some retard who posts crap like this because he/she is staved for attention and there's always at least one idiot who just has to reply. And so it goes.

I would seriously hope that the fact that all 6 of the people who agreed with the original poster are British is a coincidence, and think its a bit sad that someone would assume that this is a "coordinated counter attack" just because we take offence at the way v4victory has posted such rubbish. I don't get why you would think that we were being racist? If anything my assumption was that the guy WAS British (or is that being racist?!). Anyway, the best way is probably to ignore idiots like him as someone has already said, I just couldn't resist agreeing with other people who don't like to see racist comments on this excellent forum.

I am from Argentina (currently living in the States), and I feel exactly the same way about v4victory than any of these guys. Plus, if you look at the forums that feature this guy, people are from all over the place and they are all against him.

I didn't know about the Verison OS being 2.0 until I saw this thread, not that I really care but I did learn something out of the original post, and how quicky people will flame over something so petty. how is that a fail? its a pretty big fail if u didnt know droid ran android 2.0..its old news ,. and plus the droid is the android phone thats getting a lot of hype.
the processor was clocked at 550mhz instead of the supposed 600mhz. now thats new information

There seems to be a significant amount of animosity of late in the Android related forums. I'm not certain as to why this is, nor do I want to hear any reason for justification; what I do know is that it is unacceptable.
XDA is about bringing together folks who have similar passions about mobile technology. In all cases, it is the responsibility of all members to remain respectful of one another. We all have different opinions, we do not all have the same level of knowledge, and some folks are looking to feel like they are learning while trying to contribute.
Show maturity and professionalism by responding with helpful and constructive information. There is absolutely no reason to respond in a rude tone or to make someone feel stupid ... it is not constructive and serves no purpose.
I would remind members that the best moderation is self-moderation.

Isn't the whole OS supposed to be absolutely customizable??
I understand apps like phone and contacts must still exist.
The impression I have is that people want the ability to have a completely clean app tray... I know I'd like one that is specifically seperate from Phone, Contacts, SMS, and Voice Mail.
I also wish I had a clean slate for widgets.. I wish all my ring tones were gone.. I wish all the wall Papers were gone. I wish the boot animations were gone..
I don't even want the "market" app visible.. I want the option to go into the market by hitting them menu button while in my apps tray and I not only want market to perform the function of searching for apps but I want it to be have a searchable directory for apps, widgets,ringtones, wall papers, boot animations.. etc.
It would also be extremely awesome if the essential codes for the essential programs were coded into the main code instead of these apps.. so that even the native essential apps I listed could be swapped out.
I think it should be done.. And I think a new repository should be made for a new market place where the XDA elite could build the programs and leave these other guys who are doing nothing for the OS as a whole but flooding the market place... they can take a f'ing hike..
You guys should leave them on the back burner and then give me .1 cent ( cause I am freaking poor) of all your sales while we head a internet market campaign aimed at recruiting all android users over to the faster more customizable base model with an XDA market place.
Seriously.. you guys could charge access to the market place and get the service going like one of those other services that bill your cell bill..
Screw those other developers... you guys making the roms are the bread and butter of what will make android what it is...
And any developer who wants to publish programs on your better version of code.. you should charge them a fee....
and then you should lock up the code for your customized version of the OS and take a decade to release it.
I seriously want a 10th of a cent on every dollar for my thought.. its a billion dollar market... you guys could take it imo.
And as you do you could hire more people to work to get it functioning on every smart phone that hits the market.
You guys should do it.. I need a cool million and you guys need a cool billion... cut them out of the picture and make apple struggle.. i heard they are going to emulate the android OS or something on the iphone so users can switch between OS...

I despise the flooded market place that struggles to accustom a bunch of different versions of one OS.
I also despise the fact that the people doing the real developing work, are probably having their work stolen all the while others are just flooding the market place with junk trying to profit... not to mention the people here are the best customer service you can get.
It personally pisses me off.
If you guys think the pieces of the pie are in the right hands then either A. You are stealing others work and you work for someone getting a big piece of the pie or B. You are making contributions and getting nothing for it and need to check your self value.
Nobody is bringing me apps2SD,tethering, themes, roms, 2.1 but the people here...
The rest are just beating around the bush providing crappy customer service while refusing to even provide me with the option to change the way my dialer looks,. all the while providing ridiculous salaries to a bunch of slackers.

1. I've learned this from several jobs, school, and marketing. When people see more post counts, or a post from an older date, people are less likely to get a response. Along with this, some searches are very vague and just never get the answers we were looking for. I can google almost anything and find what I want to find. My girlfriend, my mother, heck my boss seem like idiots to me when I see how they keyword what they want, and don't get results. And for the people who do find what they want, probably dont find exactly what they want.
But point is, yes, step one, is always use search. if you don't. someones going to ignore your question and tell you "USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION."

Example; a new user just happens to read this before the sticky in any forum/sub-forum, then this message would perhaps be more useful than any other instructions they might have read first - they would perhaps feel irritated by the (albeit jovial) condescending tone. I for one have read a few of your posts - so i am familiar with your charming and sarcastic personality!
On the other hand, they have read the rules already, and do search first etc etc etc..
In this instance, this thread becomes an ironic hypocrisy, where it appears that the "rules" that are often beaten about our newbie heads by mods/senior members - dont appear to apply to them....

It's true i am walking the fine line between insanity and enlightenment.
But i figured we could all read this.
Some will feel offended others will feel enlightened.
It's not what you are reading but how you interpret it.
I also just plainly had fun writing it.

I am aware of this and the problem is.. awareness.
I used this thread to rant.
The mods may delete it.
My point has been made.
PEOPLE please pay attention. << this was my point as very few seem to read the rules or follow the guidelines.
The point is pointless as many have been ignoring the rules.
I am not saying we should ignore noobs.. help them but also inform them.
One forum i was part of tried using a gestapo attitude to this issue.
It was a complete mess.
It was only due to my efforts and love for that forum that it started to shape up and become a true medium for communication and development.

This is why i make these comments, this is why i rant, this is why i expose myself to harassment and mental torture.. it's not just for me.. but for you.
I stand for all that is good!
My dark sense of humor serves that purpose.
But enough about me.. i am not what is important.
The x10 is and SE's delivery on the product is the true issue at hand.

Whenever i use the search tool and for example i search for launcherpro all i see is roms and stupid crap so i just dont use the search tool 95% the results are roms --
