How to flash. New here. Please no flame - Acer Iconia A500

New to Iconia, How do i flash a ROM and recovery. Or a link please.

I'm presuming you already have root access. The easiest method for flashing CWM Recovery is to use the Acer Recovery Installer app available from the market. From there you should be good to go to flash any of the custom ROMs available from the A500 Developers section.

Go to the "Iconia A500 Android Development" sub-forum and you'll see a sticky thread called **Acer Iconia Android Development - Sticky Roll-Up Thread**
In that thread you'll find in the first post a guides section with the following:
"[TUTORIAL] Flashing your first A500 custom ROM".
Try that one out.
Jeff.

List of Available Acer Iconia A500 ROMs and Links

The purpose of this thread will be to create an ongoing list of available Acer Iconia A500 ROMs and links to download them.
It appears currently that there is no single place where these links are maintained.
The thread would also be useful place to gather information about the respective ROMS, their similarities, stability, purpose.
Additionally, we could keep a link to backups that would allow people to rollback to stock, if their backups fail.
Why don't you try searching, huh? We've already got a thread for this in the dev section. Have had for weeks.
What is the link to the ROM list in the Dev Section?
However, in the interest of not duplicating threads, could you please post the URL that links to the ROM list.
The general tone of comments to people led me to believe that this topic should be outside of the Dev section.
Pardon me, however I did several searches and did not pull out a thread with a list ROMS unfortunately or I would not have created this thread in the first place.
The search I ran: ROMS Acer A500
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1113878
And welcome to XDA!
You don't even need a list of roms. Go to the dev section. The most updated and/or useful roms are always on the first page for any device.
Thank you!

[Q] Help please!!! Rooting problems

I know there are a lot of post on this but can not find the help I need. I am trying to root my Acer Iconia A500. 3.1 Version. I have the gingerbreak v-1.2.apk, formatted Micro-sdcard to FAT 32, it is mounted card. When I try to root it, it will not root. It stays on the same installation screen forever, after 20-30 minutes I exit out of it. Can someone please help me get through this process.
Sure.
Head over to the dev section - in a nutshell, you are using a root utility for Android 3.0.1 on your copy of 3.1 - this won't work. You need the Iconia root apk.
Also; you posted in the wrong section. Questions belong in the q&a section. Use it in the future and you'll get a quicker response.
One more tip: search the forum before posting a new thread. Your question has been answered in literally dozens of threads.
Best of luck!

original android - android development - what?

Ever since XDA split forums with these two separate android development forums its confused me.. can anyone clarify?
(a) Stuff like this should go in the Q&A forums.
(b) Your answer is right there in the stickies at the top of the Original Dev and Android Dev forums, in the "Rules and Guide for posting in _____".
Real quick before this gets locked "Android Development" is For TW based roms Original Development" is for AOSP
You could tell that by entering each of the above mentioned threads.
YES......
