It may even be a kernel related issue so try franco kernel as the default may not support it ,well just flash bootanimation if it doesnt work than extract the zip it will have 2 file meta inf and system/under sytem-media-bootanimation.
there is no isssue with the bootanimation it is just that if the installation location is fine it will work or rather chk in gb where is the bootanimation placed by default if u have it in system/media than it will work just try another kernel
now follow 1 of the following
Root Explorer method:
2. Put bootanimation on your SD card
3. Open Root Explorer and copy bootanimation.zip to /system/media or data/local(for non rooted phone). This will replace the existing boot animation
4. Reboot your phone
ADB method:
1. Make sure you have downloaded android sdk
2. Put android sdk in C:\
3. Set the directory of command prompt to C:\android-sdk-windows\platform-tools. Click here for a video tutorial.
4. Rename your boot animation to bootanimation and put it in C:\android-sdk-windows\platform-tools
5. Open cmd
6. Type in order:
-adb remount
-adb push bootanimation.zip /system/media/bootanimation.zip
-adb reboot
As i said tested in cm7 so not sure of gingerbread at the moment.

I am not responsible for anything bad happens to your phone after you flash this theme.
Flash this theme at your own risk!!!
Just don't forget to nand backup your phone before flashing this theme.
Yet another theme ported to our phone.
Credits to steve_t, creator of this theme. See his thread here.
I checked this theme on Void#echo, LOL v1.2, and Megatron v.1 ROMs.
EDIT:
It is confirmed that this theme works on Void#echo, Void#delta, Devoid ypsilon, LOL v1.2, and Megatron v.1 ROMs.
It is reported that this theme works on Ubuntdroid 4, Optimus T P509
WARNING:
Partially working on OptimusX (FC on Market); see this post
Not working on Darkmoon v.2 and LOL v.1.4
For other ROMs, give it a try and tell us the result (i.e, working OK or not) so that others using same ROM with you will be assured whether to use this theme or not.
This theme has original/default window animation. See post #2 below to change window animation.
Download link: MediaFire
Instruction:
To apply, copy zip file to sd card and flash it.
Don't forget to nand backup your phone first!

Changing window animation
In case you want to change window animation, you can do it yourself. Try these steps: (as usual, do nand backup first before flashing)
Get xmlsForWindowAnimations.zip here
Extract it to your PC, there will be 5 new directories extracted.
On your PC, copy GalaxySThemeForO1.zip to a file, say you name it 'temp.zip'
Open temp.zip (just open, not extract). I use 7-zip here.
Navigate to directory 'system\framework', double click framework-res.apk, Continue navigating to directory 'res\anim'
Drag-drop all files in one directory (choose 1 directory among 5 extracted directories you got from xmlsForWindowAnimations.zip) into 'res\anim' directory
Close 7-zip, answer 'Yes' when asked whether to update framework-res.apk
If you know how to sign a zip file, do so, copy signed file to sd card and flash it.
Otherwise, copy temp.zip to sd card, reboot to recovery, choose 'Other' then 'Toggle Signature Verify', go back to main menu and flash 'temp.zip'
Reboot
I can't see the screenshot, is it dead link?
Reuploaded screenshot.
Can you see it now?
no probs with screenshots
works on void delta too.
Thanks for your info.
the icons in notification bar is in white colour like lol rom, not blue
im using void delta.
Those white icons belong to 3rd party apps?
If so, am afraid that we have to modify those 3rd party apps
If you think that is not the case, could you upload a screenshot?
Thanks
here we go,
just one doudt, i delested gingerbread folder from void settings , tht be the problem?
pressing power results in abnormal reboot straight from android logo without lg logo.
had to restore nand and now lots of apps fc :|
update : finally got it working, shudnt hav deleted gingerbread
is there any way to have battery meter in this theme?

No fc's related to this theme. I am using devoid ypsilon.

LE: I can't install AndroidParticles2 animation. A tried to use adb comands in cmd. I get: "No such file or directory" error. Same problem with the terminal emulator. The 480x800 AndroidParticles2 is copied on the sdcard.

Optimus p500 deserves a real boot animation

Can some one anyone make a animation that optimus really deserves. I mean like a rotating autobot/ decepticon insignia. Or hell even a transforming android would be awesome.
Even better if it was the 80's version and would say
"I am Optimus Prime"

I found a gif I converted to boot animation.
Its attached and Ill get the sound file added shortly having a bit of trouble getting it edited down properly.
Forgive the initial quality Im trying to get it all resized and having a issue with gimp.
But it will end up better once Im done.

Portrait (download and rename it to bootanimation.zip)
I recommend the one in lendscape mode, but for those who just want bootanimation in portrait mode (slightly elongated ).... I made it.

If I remember correctly, you need to put android_sound.mp3 to /system/customize/resource/ directory

At the rom you are using, animations are located in /data/local directory.
1. Download LS or PO-bootanimation.zip and rename it to bootanimation.zip
2. With some file manager (RootExplorer) copy the new animation over the old in /data/local directory.
3. After copying, change permissions (rw-, r -, r -)
4. reboot the beast
It should work
I tryed, but no effect. Actually i'm flashing AIO 5.0.2 now, and i'll try again....

Come one people... please... botanimations are just some pictures displayed in some order. Why you ask about compatibility? They work on every aurora release as long as you:
1. paste the xxxxxxx.zip file at data/local,
2. rename it to bootanimation.zip and
3. set its permissions to rwxrwxr-x.
Thats all. As for the official they should work also, but they may need to be in another dir and not at data/local. Eitherway you should try there first...
Cheers
Sorry for the ignorance... indeed i should have been born with that knowledge.
Anyways, that explanation worked like a charm, thank you.

THANKS TO:...Awesome... for the stock GNexus 4.1 OTA boot animation
AniBoot for the Nexus 7 boot animation
Google
Photoshop
Notepad++
RELEASE NOTES:Works in Aurora ICS (u8800 / u8800 pro)
Should work in every rom that have the boot animation in /data/local/
HOW TO INSTALL:» With CWMReboot your phone into CWM
Install zip from sd card
reboot » Manual installation- Extract the zip
- Copy the file /data/local/bootanimatiom.zip from the zip to your phone and past it in the folder /data/local/
(if your rom uses another directory paste it in the correct one)
- Reboot
INFO:I found out that bootanimation can be stored in /data/local/ or in /system/media/.
The first version of GNexus 4.1 boot animation copy the bootanimatio.zip to the system folder, but we don't have a lot of free space there! So I provided a second version that store the file in the data partition.
Please remove the bootanimation.zip in the system folder if you want to store it in /data. (You can use this cwm zip to do that - remove_bootanimation_from_system-signed.zip)
The boot animation stored in /data/local will the one displayed if you also have a bootanimation.zip file in /system/media/!
working it only ics? or .35 kernel?
i using ezet's cm7 (.32) can i flash your file?
Also interested about flashing on ICS ?
This should work on all roms and kernels.
Sent from my GT-P1000 using Tapatalk 2
The CWM zip will work in Aurora without problems.
In other roms you need to see the directory of the bootanimation.
In aurora is /system/media/

As I wrote before, you can store the bootanimations in two places /system/media/ or /data/local/. The latest version have the bootanimations in /data/local/ to save space in /system.
Note, the phone only uses the /system/media bootanimation if there isn't one in /data/local/
