[Q] Problem with UOT Kitchen Themes :(

Hello,
I'm facing a problem where I'm unable to apply UOT themes on my Gingerbread/Sense rom . I'm currently running InsertCoin CM7/A2SD+ v02, and extracted the framework_res, as well as SystemUI from the ZIP but still I cant get it to work.
No matter what I try nothing changes. Can anyone help me?
What's going wrong exactly?
EDIT: When you've chosen the stuff you want, check the Summary area and make sure there are no red boxes indicating something is incompatible/wrong

if you cook framework and systemui - it means you changing system theme. So after flashing UOT, select "System" theme in ThemeChooser.

unzip your ROM and put
-SystemUI.apk from the app_s folder
-framework-res.apk from the framework_s folder
from the unzipped ROM
load this 2 files in "UOT File upload" up
then cooked your file and download it.
download this file h ttp://dl.dropbox.com/u/18354786/black_circle-bat_flying.zip
then unzip your kitchen file and black_circle-bat_flying.zip.
put your kitchen SystemUI.apk and framework-res.apk.
copy this files in to the follow dirs:
-SystemUI.apk to the black_circle-bat_flying/app_s folder
-framework-res.apk to the black_circle-bat_flying/framework_s folder
then zip it, now you can flash this file in recovery.
the black_circle-bat_flying.zip works with InsertCoin CM7/A2SD+ v03 data++ version.
i have used the installscript from alexdiaz themediazGingerMix7.
i hope its allowed to use this script, if not ok then i delete the zip.
Sorry for my bad english
for gingerbread roms you need 3 files. the other one is com.htc.resources.apk
u need to upload the com.htc.resource file as well to make the theme work,
I am on insertcoin v0.8, everything works great, very smooth

Can you access to your phones internal memory? if you can, put dload folder there. If you cant, just put dload folder to sdcard. Then boot your phone while holding both volume buttons down. Your phone should start updatng after it. when it's ready, your on .35 kernel.

Did you mean the folder "dload", which exists in this file (fileserve. com/file/MJ65g2c)?
and after installing it , what should I do to get good ICS 4.0.3 ROM (support Arabic Language) ?

What is inside in this "x" folder? If there is update.app, then create dload folder to sdcard and put the file there.

Once you have put the dload folder on, followed instructions to upgrade in previous posts, then follow this thread to put CWM on and install ICS:

[TUTORIAL] How to Fix RTL (Arabic, Ardu, Farsi & Hebrew) Stock & Custom ROMs GT-S5830

[TUTORIAL] How to Fix RTL (Arabic, Ardu, Farsi & Hebrew) Stock & Custom ROMs GT-S5830
This Patch will only fix RTL (Right to left Languages) and connect letters So you can read correctly.
This Patch Wont Add Arabic or other language to your rom Settings. Please make a nandroid backup of your system before attempting to apply this patch.
Requirements:
1- Your device needs to be rooted.
2- Your Android version is 2.1 or newer
3- Your ROM needs to be deodexed.
4- Your rom is not based on MIUI.
Steps to apply the patch:
1- Download the patch arabic_script_0.907_windows.zip from Attachments and extract it to a folder on your computer.
2- Pull these 3 files from your phone /system using any explorer and place it in the subfolder "input" that you extracted in step 1
a) /system/framework/framework.jar
b) /system/lib/libandroid_runtime.so
c) /system/lib/libwebcore.so
3- Double click on commands.exe. Do not close the black cmd screens that will pop up. Once the patch is done, you should get a flashable file in subfolder "output".
4- Go into recovery mod, mount system and flash the file.
If flashing through recovery didn’t work for some reason, you’ll need to do the following manually:
Put /framework.jar in your phone at /system/framework/
Put /libandroid_runtime.so in your phone at /system/lib/
Put /libicuuc-arabic.so in your phone at /system/lib/
Put /libwebcore.so in your phone at /system/lib/
Put /lib__bcore.so in your phone at /system/lib/
5- Downlod & Extract DroidSansArabic.zip from attachments and replace DroidSansArabic.ttf with the arabic font located in /system/fonts and reboot
Sometimes permissions and xml data doesn’t get updated correctly resulting in corrupted data entries. If you receive a bunch of Force Closes after a reboot, you’ll need to Factory Reset.

Browser language is related to /libwebcore.so So try to replace this file from any other rom and run the patch again. it should be fine :fingers-crossed:

Replace files from the flashable.zip with the rom.zip and flash the whole rom again. this is the safest method to avoid any bootloops
I've been looking for this long time ago...
I'll give it a try...

[Q] Cant install any costum rom

I've done root with srs root-root and install cwm-recovery via update.zip, after that I tried most costum rom from version 2.3 to 4.0, but all I'm trying to costum rom can not boot up normally in my device, what causes all costum rom can not boot in galaxy-y,
I also do a partition on sd-card via cwm, and also pay attention to exactly how to install the costum rom to flash the kernel, but still all the costume rom will not boot
either you are a using the wrong kernel eg stock based roms require a stock based kernel and cm roms require a cm kernel and for you to format your system to ext
also make sure you mount system before flashing a rom
if you use the cm common kernel you need to unmount system and remount system before flashing the zip

Try to flash via odin before you flash the rom . And remmember to mount everything before flashing and wipe anything THX
i have installed kernel CM7 totoro, from this forum, and install CM7 stable for my device, not boot,i think for permanent CWM or other costum Recovery for this device

like I said for cm7 you need to format your system to ext either using percys kernel or the ext converter tool
you also need to unmount system in cwm and remount system twice before flashing the rom zip
you can follow my instructions
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=50907846&postcount=25
meta-inf from percys build iv uploaded

use winrar or another unzip prog to open the rom zip
you will notice a folder there called meta.inf
delete it
copy the meta.inf from the attachment in the other post and place it in the rom zip
you can do it on your phone if you dont have a pc
just use zarchiver app to unzip the rom zip and replace the meta.inf folder then use the app again to rezip it

System UI Mod (Oreo deodex A520FXXU4CRD5)

This is my first mod using guides from this awsome thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/guides-android-8-0-oreo-mods-thread-t3772017 and this awsome tool https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1633333
Like the title says this is only for Oreo A520F DEODEX version FXXU4CRD5, but feel free to try on other versions. Just not ODEXED! I tryed it on HADES rom with no problem. Just backup in case of errors!
To my phone nothing happend but i still need to say that you are Flashing it at your own Risk!
Whats moded?
* Center clock
* Permanently Disable High Level Brightness Popup
Instalation:
1. FIRST ALWAYS MAKE BACKUP OF YOUR FILES BEFORE REPLACING THEM!!!
(i recomend to unzip the SystemUIMod.zip and replace the moded System UI.apk with your own System UI.apk and zip back the folder and save it on your sdcard. Dont forget to zip in zip not rar!)
2. Download the zip, restart in recovery and flash the zip, wipe dalvik/cache and restart. You will have to wait few minutes for android to upgrade.
Feel free to use this mode how ever you like, no permissions needed from me.
Download link:
