Sense UI and Rosie, difference?

This might be a dumb question, i tried searching the forum and couldn't find anything, so if it's out there, sorry!
anyway, i keep reading about rosie, and sense etc...
what is the difference between the two? is there one?
i'm lost

Someone can correct me if Im wrong but I am pretty sure Rosie is only referring to the bottom bar in Sense UI. Rosie is the bottom bar from HTC Espresso UI.

Sense = Rosie, I think Rosie was the project code name.

if I'M not mistaken Rosie.apk is the file where most of the SenseUI stuff is kept..its kinda funny how that works..it's like the apk file for Market is called "Vending"..
one difference I noticed is that SenseUI is basically the name for the overall UI whereas Rosie (the application file) can be customized to include varying wallpapers, widgets, n home screen bar modifications

Correct sir. Rosie is the application filename. It is Sense and Sense is Rosie. It's just like Home++ or any other home replacement. It's just more tightly integrated into the OS with the HTC framework. But yes, it is the application filename.

HTC Sense modifying possible?

Sorry for the short post but my English is very bad.
Is it possible the HelixLauncher Bottom Bar integrate in HTC Sense?
I love the Sense optic and widgets, i don´t wanna miss it but the bottom bar of Helix with the 4 shortcuts is brilliant. Is there a way to get something else with Sense?

The HelixLauncher and HelixLauncher2 will get you the N1 bottom bar, but it will disable Sense due to Helix being a different launcher.

any possibilities to theme Sense? As i know it's possible on WinMo, can it be done on android?

you missunderstand me (?? is this word right), i know Helxi Launcher is a sperat launcher but i wont to skin or something else the sense launcher to get the bottom bar from helix in the sense launcher.

I don't know if it's possible to skin Sense, afaik not. At least; I haven't found anything yet...

That's exactly what I'm after as well. I don't like the bottom bar on Sense, it's too intrusive and has no transparency.

i would like to install some transparency just as in the HD2 sense

Since HTC Sense is some kind of launcher, and the alternative launchers do have an APK-file, it should be possible to customize HTC Sense in one war or another. If you could get the .apk file of the HTC Sense, then you should be able to customize some stuff

you cant edit the xmls of sense as the source is not available so as far as im aware you cant really change much apart from the images. so transparency is an option

[Q] HTC Sense Style Lockscreen For Mega?

Is it possible to port over the HTC Sense lockscreen from HTC HD Mini or Wildfire etc.? The stock lockscreen is getting very boring and i would want to try out something different. HTC Sense's lockscreen do look very interesting.
Can it be ported? Or can someone create a lockscreen application to act like Sense's lockscreen? Thanks very much

Is it possible to mod sense 2.1 stock lockscreen app to use icons like sense 3.0 lockscreen? I really hate that ringie but likes mail/sms icons on screen...

Haven;t seen anything like that come by here. But if there is....

Agile Lock from market.
Widget locker from market - where you can put them as shortcuts (and you can make it look like the stock 2.1 lockscreen).
And nobody will mod the 2.1 lockscreen to look like 3.0 IMO, because there is 3.0 for that (and the slider is taking up the space for the icons).

Are there any launchers which have the sense 3.5’s rotating carousal effect? (The effect you get when you unlock the phone and the transition effect when slide between screens ), also are there any clock widgets which act like the htc shortcuts and clock widget ? thanks in advance (i wanna recreate these elements of the newwer sense versions )
