Portable mini speakers - Defy Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm looking for portable speakers on mini usb for Defy. Is it possible, to take power supply from mini usb or build-in battery who charge on mini usb. I have portable speakers 3.5' 3 poles Creative, but with 12V external power supply. I want without external ps and without 3 poles, Defy has 4 poles and sound it's not quite good

Superportable and supersound. Builtin battery lasts approx 12 hours per each speaker.
Charging via USB, possible to use Defy (but not so wise...)

@goateye yeah thanks, i'm big fan of Logitech, recently, i will decide between X-Mini and Logitech Z120

I have the x-minis too - they are great little speakers

What? you mean sound pressure turns into electrical impulses, that charge the kaiser. I shout at my phone, and she lives, she lives.
I want one of these!!!
nah retard, a bluetooth enabled speaker dock that one can plug in ones phone to charge. doesnt even have to be bluetooth if it can use the usb port for its sound input.
Hey. Be nice We're all respected people and adults here (Well im not an adult but still ) No I don't think a device like that exists yet because you'd have to output your tilt's energy which could short out the phone so I don't think you should even try that.

Isn't this essentially the same idea?

The only difference is a speaker cradle would get its sound from the righthand connector (HTC D-style), and supply charging to the lefthand one (standard mini-USB).
I think he meant the speaker cradle would have a wall plug

Charge Raphael from 12V car battery?

Anyone seen a cable converter to allow me to charge the Raphael from a 12V car battery when there is no access to a cigarette lighter socket?
Thus, aligator clips (or similiar) that connect to the +/- terminals of a 12V battery, and then the other end has the mini-usb connector that plugs into the Raphael. Seemingly in the middle between the two would be a 12V to 5V step down.
Anyone seen such a cable? I guess I could get a standard cigarette lighter style and break it apart and solder on some aligator clips?
um.. that would most probably result in a mini explosion that will cause your fuze to go up in flames and clouds of dark ozone destroying smoke... and maybe for you to lose a hand in the process.... I highly suggest you find a different alternative...
just my 2 cents..
go to walmart and find something like this. plugging directly to a battery is a very bad idea.

Get a cigarette lighter extension and cut off the male end. Put gator clips on the wires to the female end. Works awesome.
Be careful to get hot and ground correct.
Try one of these adapters "Lighter Socket Alligator Clips". Obviously you'll still need a HTC (or suitable) cigarette lighter charger. Only about USD6.00.
Cheers!

[Q] car charger

hi, just got x10 but i have for it 2 car chargers and both not working, does anyone know do i have to change some settings in phone? cheers for any help
Is your car lighter ok?
i have a similar problem,.... i have a USB cigarette lighter adapter that i used on my previews phone,....
it doesnt work when i try to charge my X10,... (im using the original SE data cable,....)
A lot of the standard car chargers won't work for X10 for some reason.. they must be wired slightly differently.. you need to order one which is X10 compatible. I had a Jabra adapter which I tried with my USB cable and it didn't work..
Also - This thread should be in the Accessories section. MOD - can you please move?
Thanks.
Just a note of advice here... Make sure you're using a USB POWER cable instead of a DATA cable. If you're using a cable other than the one supplied with the X10, it may not work for charging.
FYI: The Motorola microUSB chargers work perfectly fine with the X10
There is a fix for your problem in this forum. Take yourself a digital meter or something like this and check if there is resistance.
If they are not connected (I bet they aren't) just solder the two data pins in your charger together (middle pins). Then it should
work!

ya, my blackberry car charger works perfectly with the x10
I bought 2 chargers the other day. They both worked. Only paid $3.50 per charger too and got free shipping because I have amazon prime:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003EYVJHC/?tag=bttech-20
I'm using the Nokia charger and it's working great so far.

Galaxy sIII definitely works with usb speakers

Just plugged in my microsoft digital sound system 80 usb speakers which have back to about year 2000ish and they work perfectly.
Plugged it in uding a usb otg cable i bought in the stratford computer fair and the phone picked up from the london stratford computer fair
the volume control doesnt control the internal volume control of the speakers.(would have been nice)

Nice
Thats awesome!
Awesome!! works with my Corsair HS1 Gaming headphones, USB flash drive as mass storage device & xbox 360 wireless controller adapter
the features keep rolling in
Hmmm... Hopefully there will be a car dock that has a single USB for both charging and audio out. This threads makes that seem possible, anyway.

Charging from external +5V source

Maybe some of you bought external charger, battery or like me, solar charger with battery and realize that Atrix doesn't charge but other phones does. Solution is quite simple. Only what you need to do is to put resistor about 200OHM or just short USB data pins (2 and 3) in your charger or cable. I really recommend to put resistor. Interested thing is that after phone is connected you can remove resistor and charging will continue.
1 VBUS Red +5 V
2 Dāˆ’ White Data āˆ’
3 D+ Green Data +
4 GND Black Ground
I tested today

I made a 12 to 5V 3A converter for my wife's car. It works well with her HTC Evo 3D but for my Matrix I had to add 20kOhm resistor...

20kOhm? Thanks, bigger resistor, less current. I just tested 330kOhm and it works
