Hi there,
anybody knows where i get a original t-mobile (de) rom for this device...i cant find one with forum search or google search.
I need it because i think my device has some defect -> it reboots unexpected.
I flashed 2.3.3 (stock rom) to see if the problems are gone -> they are not gone
So i want to give it to the service but i think its better when i have the original firmware on it...

Try reflashing the Radio ROM or the complete ROM. Also make sure you have applied the AthenaUnlocker before you do.

hi thxs for replying ,,,i have tried what u mentioned several times and its stil the same ,i even put back the original t-mobile rom that came with my athena device ,,i dont know what else to do is there like a imei repair tool for these devices? i need this done otherwise my warranty is gone and i cant ring up t-mobile uk and tell them, i put wm6 and removed there software again due to warranty please what else can i do ?

You can find TMobile ship on our FTP ( but only GERMAN version) : RUU_Athena_TMO_DE_1.12.111.6_1.32.00.00_Ship.rar

hi ,,its the german t-mobile rom but what i did was add the english cab file to it and it works well i,ve attached it here also i didnt realise that the t-mobile rom also exists in the xda ftp site
hope this helps anyone wanting to revert back to wm5

But this ROM sets your IMEI to XXXXXXX that right? :-/

hi,,,the imei got corrupted upon me flashing it with a rom i obtained from another site ,,,since then its messed up my imei ,,,the sad thing is if this handset got stolen i dont think the network providers can do nothing to block it or barr it and i messed up my warranty
i,ve tried to speak to other engineers about this they dont wanna know because imei modification or even messing with it in the u.k is very illegal but all i want to do is get my original imei back and seems no one will help me or even point me to the right direction of doing this ,,thus i have lost my gps that wont work anymore

i tried using the tool called iwizard which can modify or change imei's on htc platforms but it doesnt support the athena its only for older model handsets.
besides the roms from xda developers i have been using since i owned a blueangel device and not 1 of them has caused me problems only serious issue i have had is with mr lumpistefans rom which has made my wallaby device dead!! and i am saddened to lose my old wallaby because of his roms
I'm sorry to hear of you news. I'm aware that IMEI alteration is illegal in the UK, but thought that for genuine reasons such as this some of the phone shops you find round major towns such as London may be able to assist (for a fee). If you take original documentation, like the sticker on the box and the unit to verify that that was the genuine IMEI, and it is restoration that you're after not alteration..... I don't know, someone might be able to help...

But just to confirm, if I use the German WM5 T-Mobile ROM on my UK Ameo, that currently has a English WM6 it should operate, and keep my IMEI... the only thing will be the language, which I take it that CAB file you provided will restore, and EVERYTHING will be in English? That right?

hi and yes buddy all should be fine like i said this rom is ok and genuine from german t-mobile site and the same rom is available on the ftp developers site ,,just use the the english cab file and your ready to go
and in theory this cab file should work on other foreign language roms also
and i did try to contact shops regarding my imei none want to help they said nothing can be done
Do not use sony update service just yet
Although Sony DO NOT yet have a firmware update for the Xperia, the update service still gives you the option to restore the phone by reinstalling the currant firmware version.
But DO NOT USE THE UPDATE SERVICE JUST YET, consult sony technical service first, if you are experiencing problems and are looking to restore via update service. (vista 32 bit, i also know one case on windows xp from a xperia user)
I carried an update to restore the original firmware and the phone got blocked(bricked) update stops at 11%
i had to send it back and purchase a new xperia.

i dont understand, this is windows mobile, why would we need to upgrade firmware? If anything, we just need to hard reset the phone and its back to factory. I mean there are custom roms but we cant flash it until we have a hard spl

you wanna be able to update the phone to fix bugs in the FW, like the Bluetooth disabling itself issue, or the panels being slow etc.
As to y u would wanna re install the existing FW, some people might have messed around and bricked their phone, a quick solution would be to reinstall the FW.

Can you please help me, and tell me where I can download the Generic AT Rom for X1, I need to send it back, but was not able to get this ROM? even the Update service of SE, there is no option to restore, it say only, that there is no new software for it.
Please help, and is there any special SPL I need to use?

I'm glad I came across this thread. I was about check for updates but I sure wouldn't have reinstalled the same firmware version. Anyway, I guess I should just wait for the next update and update the phone after I find out how it makes the phone better.

I am finding it hard to use my phone since CM 4.2.6 and with every update it's getting worse instead of better...battery draining too fast, force closing apps, slow response etc...
I have a HTC Magic with Vodafone UK, but since I installed CM my splash screen has changed to MT3G.
Can someone please advise how I can go back to the original Vodafone UK ROM as I couldn't find anything online that was clear enough..?

Hello, I bougth used Asus P750 with WM 6.1 . Ex. owner installed a lot of rubbish and i want to reinstall WM. I downloaded the firmware Rom update for Britain users from http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=P750&p=12&s=5
then i ran the "auto update" from a storage card, press system> rom update. But then pop ups a message box "extended Rom update cannot be applied to this regions version.". I living in Lithuania, but in asus suppport website i didin't found version for lithuanian users. I readed this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=384868 . Why not do a hard-reset first? This will get rid of all the stuff that the previous owner installed - no need to re-load the ROM for that. Going further you may first want to install your own stuff and see if the ROM is ok for you then. Only in case you cannot install what you want THEN think about installing cooked ROMs.
As AndrewSh has already outlined, there is a big community of ASUS users in Russia - you should find all you need there.

The latest one at present says its german and i want to use it for a uk phone, will this make any difference at all, and if it doesnt why does it specify the country?

I've used Australia firmware and tried using it in NZ, Data roaming did not work I think I had other comp ability issues as well but this was on a S2. If you change firmware to a different country it may void warranty but I'm not 100% sure on this because its still stock... Personally I wouldn't go back to 4.3 have you seen all the issues on this forums? lol
