Anyone else fed up with the Locked Down 2.3.3? I'm about to trade for a Nexus. - EVO 4G General

I've been fighting with my phone for it to work properly ever since the 2.3.3 upgrade and I'm about to toss it out the window for a Nexus S. I'm just hoping someone on craigslist will be willing to trade. Any comments on this decision? What are your opinions of the Nexus S, especially compared to the Evo 4g...
Also, have any of you traded phones to save money? If I make this trade I will have made 7 trades in the last year, without paying a penny and using basically every high-end android phone sprint has/had to offer. (Also, someone was dumb enough to trade me their epic for my hero. I warned them about the downgrade they were making, but they wanted the phone for its size.)

I'm fed up as well. you might as well trade!

i just traded my Evo for a Nexus S4G...i love the phone, very fast and responsive...the screen is awesome...the radios suck...they just updated and tbh i havent noticed any difference...sum have and sum havent...i miss sense though...i have found all the apps to reproduce wat sense does for my phone...none work as good as sense though...easy to root/unroot...maybe 5 roms total available...lol will be a shock coming from the Evo to be sure...customizing isnt a priority for the devs in the nexus formums it seems...they like it pure...which is fine but kinda boring...
overall i am happy, just wish the radios were better...i only got the NS4G as a stop gap waiting on sumthing better to hit sprint to use my upgrade on...i put my Evo on craigslist and it wasnt in gr8 condition either, had 20 replys by morning...traded less than 16 hours after posting it...hope this helps, spend sum time on the xda forum for the NS4G before you jump though...wish i would have now...good luck

yeah i feel your pain, i had a rooted evo and it broke, so i had to return it for a new one and got one with the update already on it so im using my upgrade for the new motorola photon....i'm going to miss my evo....

I wouldn't even trade on CL. If you have tep you can just exchange it. The tep program allows for exchange of the Evo for the nexus or shift. I was on my first Evo refurb with the locked bootloader with screen separation and a week vibrator motor and I said f*#k it and asked for a nexus. They said sure, but were out of stock. So they're sending me a new Evo in the box to hold me over and then sending me the nexus in two weeks.. all free. And if you don't have tep, just talk nice with a Sprint rep and see what they can do.

I'm sick of my camera locking up after 3 or 4 pictures and then rebooting. No root does make this phone just as boring as any other.

I'll sit tight and hold off. I'm thinking about it myself, but I noticed there's still someone working on it.

Well I say let's all pack em up and throw em through HTC'S windows.
Sent from well, who gives a flip. It ain't rooted and running like a raped ape any more..... Thinks Sprint......

Ok I have been with sprint for less than a week. I came from att. Switched for lower price that's it! With att for just over a year and had a iphone 3gs, iphone 4, dell streak twice, samsung captivate twice, htc inspire, samsung infuse and motorola atrix. Damn that's alot. Anyways, I kinda know my way around a phone. If you guys and gals (I assume) got your hands on a htc infuse you would feel so different about a evo. I got 3 lines all with evos for free plus a port in credit of $375. I had my evo for 2 days! I am not bashing anyone that likes or has a evo at all. This is my opinion. I returned that and got a NS4G, granted I love me a big ol phone, but damn! I am running decks 1.3b with matr1x kernel oc'ed to 1.44 and uv'ed and get a quad of almost 3000! I know the test don't mean crap but I was blown away. No fc's or nothing! Its butter smooth and can get a day of moderate use easy. Plus the screen is so rich in colors. The one con I have is reception, buts it don't help where my house is. It is a very nice phone.
Honestly, if you can't live without sense don't do it cause you wont want to go back. If you don't care for sense, then you should pick one up cause bestbuy has them for free! Plus it is so flippin easy to root.

ill jsut hold out for now, i am VERY tempted to just buy a rooted one off ebay in the meantime, but if im gonna change my evo i want it to be for a lte dual core beast next year, i wont use the upgrade now, id rather spend 150 bucks ona used evo on ebay for now, but we MIGHT get root eventually , agrabren seems to be working on porting the xploit but no such luck so far, so lets see what happens before christmas

The Nexus S was okay nothing like the N1 i got tired of it locking up and the video recording quality sucks id go to the Evo 3D. I been happy with that phone.

My evo is giving me a ton of F/cs on 2.3 and horrible battery life, do I go into a repair center and ask? I'm on my second evo replacement
I really love my evo to death but this replacement is killing me, hoping for root soon!

Roms are flying around like crazy in the 3d forums and its been s off for a little over 24 hours.

I loved m EVO before it got replaced due to a routine test failing, now I'm stuck on 2.3 w/ no root. There is a problem with the vibration in the one they gave me however. How much is the Photon running..maybe I'll look into that or making the trade for the Shift.

Add me to the list, I walked blindly into this mess . My Hero finally croaked on me (had been limping it along for months on a intermittent digitizer + generally terrible performance due to getting wet 'why get insurance when you've never destroyed a phone before' Murphy's law? lol) and just bought an Evo 4G knowing it was already a year old, but still looked pretty well spec'd and they were willing to give me a much better early upgrade price on it vs. the Nexus S. First thoughts, holy crap this thing is fast coming from the Hero, but by the end of the work day Friday I was chomping at the bit to get home and start trying some ROMs, specifically the Synergy + Godmode, only to hit a brick wall before even getting started.
I love the phone, but not being able to get rid of all the crapware and mess with different ROMs sucks.

[Q] Convince me

I just picked up a mt4g at the upgrade cost from t-mobile. I'm coming from a nexus one. I'm really on the fence, If I should just give it back and wait for a newer phone to use my upgrade credit. It just doesn't feel like a huge upgrade from my N1. I'm thinking I would like a 4+" screen too. I wish I had a date when the pyramid was available.
Should I keep my N1 a couple more months or move to the mt4g?
Go back to the n1 till summer.
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
My wife has the mt4g, which is why I'm in here. It's a great phone, but I agree that it doesn't seem much better than the Nexus. If even say it's just different, in good and bad ways, and not necessarily better (probably the wrong place to say that?). I'm possibly just attached to my Nexus?
Anyway, you could wait forever for the next phone, and there's always the latest rumors - but the Pyramid does sound nice (first time I've even thought about switching).
There's certainly a lot worse than the mt4g!
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
Didn't hear back from any actual mt4g owners.
I slept on it, and i'm going to be returning the phone to t-mobile today. It's nice enough phone and I give it props. Even with all the bloat crap on it, it did feel faster than my N1. I just wasn't blown away. I think it just goes to show how good the N1 was when it came out. I never dreamt that I would be happy with a single phone for more than a year.
Patience is not one of my virtues. I really hope T-mobile gets dual-core and big screen soon.
I was in a similar boat about a month ago. I was forced into getting a new phone though, as my Mytouch 3g finally fell the wrong way and the screen got smashed to bits. Was between the MT4G and the Nexus S, decided to go with the 4G for FFC, HSPCA+, and more RAM. Plus I like Sense and the sturdy body of the 4G. Like someone else alluded to, there will ALWAYS be the next cool thing just a month or 2 away, so you're never really future-proof with a new phone in that sense.
As for advising you on the phone itself, all I can say is that I think the MT4G is the best android (certainly the best TMO android) phone on the market right now. It's got extra RAM, good features, HSPA+. But if you're happy with the N1 for the next ? months, then wait it out. I just didn't have that option, and am very happy with the 4G.
Oh and one more thing regarding your last post - I'm sure it's a personal preference, but the screen size on the 4G is perfect for my tastes. It's big enough (little bit bigger than iphone) but still comfortable to hold and put in your pocket. The 4"+ screen sizes are great for media and web browsing, but were too big for me to really be comfortable with (again just personal opinion). I like to be able to just slip my phone in my jeans pocket.
i would wait for a few months for a newer phone.mt4g is great, but the newer hardware will be better.

N1 traded for iphone 4 32gb (Stragiht trade)
iphone 4 32gb traded for iphone 4 16gb plus $200
iphone 4 16gb sold for $500
purchased vibrant $160
purchased mytouch 4g $275
Sold vibrant $260
traded mytouch 4g plus $50 for nexus s
traded nexus s for mytouch 4g plus $200 (bad screen)....
Currently with the mytouch 4g, its a solid device! I really like it but its just bland to me, not much development for it. I loved the nexus one , trackball wake, and alert colors were very nice. Screen is still pretty good compared to some new models. I would recommend just keeping the nexus one till a new phone comes out. Heck I may sell the mytouch 4g for $300 today, and buy a vibrant for $150.
Neuxs one still has solid development of roms, which I still wonder into that area to look over whats going on. Mytouch 4g well it does have 4g services, and front facing camera....thats really the only differences that stand out. Heck I dont use the FFC nor can I use 4g since I'm unlocked on a local carrier, although I did hit 7.04 mbps today, highest to date.
Stay with the nexus one, itll still hold its value and its holding up well vs current phones
That's some damn nice horse trading you've done. I would trade my N1 for an Iphone 4 32gb in a minute. (if only to sell it and buy another N1 back for half the cash i got for the iphone!)

Are you reading the same forum I am????? Not much in Development for it???? Are you serious? Tons of work on multiple kernels, TONS of ROMs. So many themes and icons I can't even keep up.......I dunno where you get that its bland....Root the phone and go CM7 and get rid of the bloat and tell me the phone is bland.....
Sorry just find it weird that you think its a plain jane phone yet theres a plethora
of stuff to mod it with and make it your own....
The mt4g has a pretty solid development base, but it's relatively small compared to the N1... CM7 is cool, and probably the only unique ROM out there.
The development on the N1 is huge, which is why I'd struggle switching from it...
MT4G is a cool phone, but it's nothing ground breaking.

Yes I am reading the same forum, mytouch 4g ? Yes there isn't much development, phone has been rooted since day 1, on cm7....phone is bland. Nexus one there was just that much more development, mytouch 4g development base is small compared to the nexus one
I've seen, held, and used the Nexus One for over a week and I'd still choose the MT4G. Sure there might be more ROMs but you can't beat the fact that the MT4G has the better hardware still and more RAM.
Now for anyone with a G1 or MT3G its a no brainer the MT4G is better than the N1
As far as going from N1 to MT4G I would save your upgrade for a Dual Core.

Yes mytouch 4g does have the better hardware, being unlocked I'm not fully utilizing the device, hence I still prefer the nexus one. Both htc devices are solid, cant go wrong with either one
agreed. if you are looking for a major upgrade the MT4G is perfect and will hold its ground for a long time. But the leap in power and quality from the N1 to MT4G just isn't worth it.
But to say the MT4G community and features is bland is false. Sure its been rooted since day one but so was the N1. It allowed you to root it without hacking it. So its been customized for far longer than the MT4G has even been out. It will take off soon enough.

You cannot compare MT4G to Nexus One, that was the first google phone, now a days new phone comes out every couple of months people will buy what they like. Look at the Nexus S all the development have scattered to other models, G2, Z, HD, etc... all they have is GB and kernel, so many different versions its still GB And CM7 Lmao... I only pay $83 a month for my EVO. That's 69+10+4(roadside)+taxes, I do have a few discounts because of the company(-15%) I work for but $83 a month is a drop in the bucket compared to the plan I had before the EVO (110+) a month. Just wait till you get your EVO, you'll love it and wont mind the bill.
Regardless of whether you choose an Evo or something newer, you're going to have a massive upgrade from the Mogul.
One argument for getting the Evo as opposed to one of the newer devices coming out, is that the Evo has a very established and mature development community.
If you get one of the newer phones as soon as they come out, you may be stuck with no root, or some sort of half-baked workarounds for a while.
Just something to take into consideration. You may not be that interested in rooting your phone so it could very well be a moot point.
My upgrade cycle pretty much means that I'm always going to be getting a new phone no less than 3-4 months after it originally launches. It's worked out really well in each case since I end up coming in to a vibrant and active modding/hacking community that has tons to play with.
frankly, if I were you, I would do this:
Find a used Evo, cheap. Root it, have a **** ton of fun with it. It may be "outdated" soon, but that's a load of crap. still a great phone.
And while you are playing with your new-to-you-evo and rooting it and flashing fun roms and learning about teh Android system in general, watch the actual reviews of the new phones coming out, which ones are unlocked, which ones get good XDA support, Then choose a new phone.

think you missed the $10 second phone add on...
they no longer do that.. family plan starts out at $129.99 so instead of $10 for an additional phone.... they take $10 off... so $69.99 + $59.99 = family plan...
so just tough to take on that extra expense.. especially since my new job is costing me $500-$600 a month in gas.. (my choice and no i will not drive anything else except my '08 silverado crew cab short box z-71.. well maybe a '11 silverado....)

[Q] I'm so tired of this phone. Nexus S or hold out?

The Evo... I remember when I got it.. the world felt new.. the amazing camera, the blazing fast 4G, the endless apps.
Yeah, the honeymoon is over. Problems with this phone seem to be as never ending as its features. Sprint must hate this phone because of all the problems people have with it. Don't get me wrong, it's Sprint's best phone by a long-shot and was the best phone out for a while, but damn, I'm holding my second replacement Evo and I've discovered just two days after I got it that the camera app causes the phone to crash (tried searching for a solution but to no avail, maybe someone here will know how to fix it)
I'm thinking about hassling Sprint to just send me a Nexus S for my next replacement (they're total pushovers, tell them you've been with them for a decade and they'll treat you like the sage on the hill).
Would it be worth it? Anyone here had experience with both devices?
The camera is a big deal to me, so comparisons would be awesome.
tl;dr I'm pissed at my evo do I keep it or switch it for something else? Sprint phones only.
The galaxy s 2 is right around the corner...I expect it to be released within August. It already went through the FCC with a wimax chip so that means it's going to sprint. It would be stupid to get anything else right now unless you really love the Evo 3D or Motorola Photon
My wife has a nexus s and its real nice. Camera is comprobale to ours as long as your not blowing the pics way up from original size. The phone is supper fast and slim. I've been thinking about hailing sprint for one to but I'm trying to wait and see if the nexus 3 comes to sprint.
The Nexus S might be a solid choice, but as stated the GS2 is right around the corner. And further out is the new Nexus. Tempting, the SGS2 is, but many complain about Sammy and their updates. So long as CM7, and beyond, is supported I couldn't care less. But if you think you could deal with the Nexus S then why not? Especially if you'd be willing to shell out for a device when you're not due for an upgrade.

Of you're having problems with the evo, try to swap it for a nexus, its a great device. That way you don't have to use your upgrade and you can wait for the prime or sgs2. Personally after using the nexus s I will likely only buy nexus devices in the future.

So if I do in fact recieve one that is not S-OFF looks as if it will have SOME sort of issue so I can get a handset swap......... Oh by the way I am getting my 100 deductible waived as well WOOT heres hoping....

Meh, I'm keeping my evo for a while.
Right now the SGS II is almost out but then what? the galaxy and the evo can both
Send texts
make calls
get emails
use flash player
both run 2.3
both have great cameras
I'm not saying the sgs II is bad, just think the evo can live a bit more, most apps out there aren't even optimized for the dual core chips.
But I will admit there are advantages such as formfactor/screen/ SPEED! and a few other things
its like upgrading from the iphone 3g to the 3gs at this point. (I'm not ranting or being a fanboy of the evo, just stating an honest opinion)

Nexus S 4G or wait for Galaxy Nexus?

I'm on Sprint and ready to upgrade my Hero. The problem though is that the Hero has left me very hesitant to buy a phone with a custom skin, and I will not spend my money on a non-stock Android phone. Is the Nexus S 4G still a good phone compared to current dual core phones or should I just wait until Sprint gets the Galaxy Nexus?
I went from the hero to the NS4G when they had them for $30 after rebate and such, and I don't regret it at all. Even running stock it blows the hero away. Could that perception change over the next 2 years? Sure, but after dealing with the hero being pretty inadequate from the get go I doubt that it will be anything I can't deal with. The only complaint i have found is that the external speaker volume is about half of the hero. I can't pay ~$200+ for a phone any more.
Sent from my Nexus S 4G running CM7/franco.Kernel
Depends on the amount of money you want to spend. The NS4G is a fine phone and I enjoy it and like dpeeps the only complaint I would have is the speaker on it. I like to listen to podcast on my phone, when I'm at home I still listen to em on the Hero, I pretty much use the Hero it as a iPod/MP3Player type device now.
I had to make this same decision back in August and am so happy that I did. There will always be faster, prettier, better...etc. phones coming out so you just have to accept that. I haven't ran into 1 problem yet with my Nexus and I'm not leaving Sprint so for me it's the best phone they had and still have available. I'll upgrade once they get their LTE system in place and phones to work on it.
Good to hear that it is still a very capable phone! I was planning on buying it used off of Craigslist or eBay so that I can save my upgrade for the Galaxy Nexus, if Sprint gets it. I remember when the NS4G came out that a lot of people were complaining about the reception on it and I was wondering if it had ever gotten fixed or if it was ever a real problem to begin with.
Quad Core phones should be coming by springtime. LTE or not, that's what I'm waiting to jump on

I also have a Hero and I'm ready to upgrade. I'll also be getting a Nexus S, but I'm waiting until Friday because it's going to be free! I can't post links because I lurk a lot, but if you check out phandroid's Hero news (or sprintfeed.com, where they got the article from), Sprint is giving away Nexus S' on Black Friday.

Seems for some people it really was an issue, supposedly a update fixed it, I was one of the ones that never had any reception issue so can't say.
ns4g is already really outdated in todays mobile market
spending a few hundred bucks for a phone your going to use for maybe a month or 2 seems a little ridiculous.
you should save the money.
and if i were you i wouldnt wait for the galaxy nexus on sprint, i would jump ship to another carrier like im planning on doing. (with sprint for 9 years now)
sprint reception is getting worse and worse, their data speeds are getting slower and slower
just yesterday we had major problems, couldnt make or recieve calls or send texts.
i would highly consider switching carriers.
that being said if you want to stay on sprint the epic touch is a really amazing phone, held back by its carrier.
good luck
Outdated is probably a stretch. The phone is more than capable of handling anything a dual core phone can handle. I'm sure there's some few exceptions, but spending a few hundred bucks on anything that's as disposable as a mobile phone these days isn't too bright. Wait a couple months and they all become exponentially cheaper on some sale or rebate.

Well do you like huge phones?? The Galaxy Nexus is HUGE...Well if you absolutely need a new phone just now then get a Nexus S 4g. If you can wait a few months to see what comes out then the Galaxy Nexus will probably be worth the wait....
I was thinking about getting a nexus s too. But, does it bother anybody that it doesn't have a notification LED? I hadn't heard about the speakers.

Nexus is free all weekend plus u also get $25 in free new Google wallet.
So not bad for a newer phone.
And yes of course u still have to pay taxes and activation
But
It's unavoidable in any new phone purchase

Most of the kernels include a mod called BLN that allows you to turn on/blink the capacitive buttons on notification. The LED light is a little more obvious but it I've gotten used to it.

Well I'm getting the Nexus S soon. It may be outdated but it still is a great phone considering that it is free until Monday but I really just want a phone that will get the latest Android updates wether its official or not. Galaxy Nexus is also great but no one knows when Sprint will get it or its price.

How does this allow you to save your upgrade? Will Sprint do an ESN swap from the Hero onto the Nexus and keep you on your existing contract? I too am interested in saving my upgrade until the new LTE network is in place, but would love a new(er) phone in the meantime.

Sprint makes it easy to swap really... Just log into the sprint website and find the option in there. It asks for the numbers located on the back of the phone under the battery and then transfers your service to the new phone. Your old one should still have a clean ESN and be good to sell. My family has gone the eBay route a few times now to save our upgrades.
And really to anyone talking about only going for pure stock Android phones or waiting for the galaxy nexus, your missing out lol... Take 5 minutes on a 1ghz phone with Sense and you'll be hooked. The Hero just didn't have the power to handle it. And the Galaxy Nexus is really kind of a letdown tbh. In literally 3 months we'll see 2+ ghz quadcores and higher than 8 megapixel cameras as a bonus. And 4.0 ICS will be all over the place by then

Nice, thanks for the info. I did an ESN swap once before with Sprint when I bought a phone from wirefly.com, but that was with an upgrade. I didn't realize they'd allow it while still under contract.

Thanks for all of the advice on the NS4G. I decided to go with the E4GT after using my brother's phone over Thanksgiving break. It will suit my needs just fine for the next two years.

Per chance do you know if this works with the old non-premium data plans? If I swap ESNs will they want to charge me the $10 a month "premium data" plan for a smartphone? I'm boycotting upgrading until this goes away. I mean my heroc does everything I need and we've almost got ICS there, I don't see a reason to upgrade. (Yes armv7/front camera/dual core/soon to be LTE would be nice but those aren't "necessities" imo)

The $10 fee is just for any data plan now I think, and its here to stay There isn't a loophole there though I don't think. If you switch to a 4G phone they'll probably slap it on there.
I just bought my Nexus S off of Ebay lol, so ill find out next week. The touchscreen on my Hero is starting to cut out and I still wanna save my upgrade

The last of a dying breed 2013: When will you submit to the carrier for a new device

With sprint taking pre orders for the iPhone 5 and also including new devices are being sold, when will you give in?
As much as we upgrade the rom to keep up with what's on the newer devices, is becoming quite hard finding a rom that has everything included. There will always be a sacrafice whether its 4g, stable camera etc. Developers have really out done themselves with such great roms but its the evo hardware that drive compatibility issues.
How many will enter 2013 sending a happy new year text from the original evo 4g, or will some of you switch before making that new years Eve toast....
I'm up for an upgrade in November. Looking at moving up to the LTEVO, SGS III or Galaxy Nexus. Probably going to hand my OG EVO down to my son.
Definitely not going to anything that starts with an "i".

I'm stuck till April of next year, but that gives me time to test out the sg4.

I can upgrade right now and I'm thinking about it, but even so, 249 + activation charge is still not cheap
Well my contract ends in April, so probably until then. We'll see what the next best phone will be around then for Sprint.
Get the EVO 4g LTE! I jumped the OG EVO ship and I'm never looking back!
PS. Screw the iPhone 5
Yea my upvrade is in april next year too :/
But on the bright side, I might be able to get the next evo!

My upgrade is up. Still between the LTEVO or S3. Its a real honest tough choice. I will say I do see more dev activity on the LTEVO vs S3. Just hard to choose. Lol

Don't know. Sprint has been slow getting 4G at least here in Los Angeles and I hate paying for 4G and not getting it. My friend's Verizon device simply flies. I know Verizon is a bit more expensive but damn their coverage is superb. According to some study I read online, even metropcs is beating Sprint on 4G. My contract is up in November so just sround the corner. Costco has some good Verizon phones and no activation fees.
I got a good year still left. But with the supposed HTC One X+ coming up, doesn't sound too bad with that tegra quad-core.
I'm always behind on my contract when new phones come out. I end up getting the about a year after they are released Hopefully I will be able to correct this soon, and yea I will probably be getting rid of my evo the first opportunity available
While the OG is getting a little long in the tooth, I still find mine quite useable and flash a new rom from these amazing devs about once a week. When development dries up here, that's when I'll start looking for something else. The gf is jumping ship for the iP5 [rolls eyes] after having her Evo for over 2 years. I feel sorry for people who are still running a stock, non-rooted OG with the Sprint base rom. This phone really shines once it's tweaked and modded a bit.
Holdin' out for the next Nexus and hoping it's a Motorola or HTC build.
I'm almost 6 months past my contract end with Sprint.... And am not looking to switch carriers. With development doing what it is doing...... I don't really feel an urge to jump. I switch back and forth between a few roms... Decks... Classic.... DK's Jackpot..... all of them keep me feeling like I have a brand new phone.
HTC vs SIII ... hmmm.... I'm following the forums here and watching who shows up where.
and while I'm here... Thanks to all the developers who just keep on banging out new tricks and new tweaks. It sure makes it fun.

Shh man just don't use the evo to record an unboxing of your girlfriend's iPhone 5 and put it on youtube...lol
Sent from my PC36100 using xda premium
I jumped ship about 2 weeks ago and got myself an Evo V (Evo 3D) on Virgin Mobile. It's a nice little step up from the OG. The OG was treating me just fine and I would have been content to stay with it longer, but I have some cracks in the housing (around the power and volume buttons of course) and wanted to decrease my monthly bill. I think this new to me but already dated phone will last me for another couple years just fine.
The OG is still going strong though. I just got it an HDMI cable and coupled with my datel retro wireless controller (it's like a wii classic controller with wii remote built in to it) it is enjoying life as a dedicated gaming device now. Ouya!

Ha, nah not me man. I just don't get the whole unboxing phenomena but I'm sure YT will be flooded with all the iSheep unboxing vids come Friday morning.
By this winter we should probably hear of some worthy candidates to replace our OGs but right now nothing is really tempting me. Also, I hate that everything is itching toward 5" screen size. Too big IMO. Just stop it already OEMs!!

November as well. werd.
honestly what dissuaded me from the iphone the most was the smaller screen. seems trivial to some, and my iFanboy bf thinks my Evo is huge. **** I'd get a Note II if they had it on Sprint, lol. S3 looks frickin sweet, though I shall miss my OG... I'll most likely sell it back to Sprint for a discount on my renewal. Sucks they're only giving about $60 for OG Evo's now "no respect, no respect!!"
as much as i wanted to wait for the iPhone 5, i bailed early and got the SGS3. for those of considering staying HTC; best of luck to you in Brick city.
