Remote control tab (Not just with a mouse) - Eee Pad Transformer General

Hi. Is there any way to remote control the tab? Like something that does what it does when I touch the screen but remotely? I know there are touchpads and various bluetooth mice. But they rely on a mouse pointer system (no multitouch). What I want is remote control but using the same fashion of touch system (swiping and pinching to zoom etc). I want to do this without having to look at the remote controlling device (so I can still see a pointer to know where I need to move to).
I seem to remember someone mentioning this could be done with another Android device like a phone?

Using the HTC Wizard as a Bluetooth HID device

Is it possible to use a Wizard as a bluetooth keyboard and/or touchpad?
My last phone was a S/E K700i. It can be used as a HID device. The joystick replaces a mouse (with right and left mouse buttons). Because of the small keyboard profiles are used to control specific applications like Winamp, Powerpoint, WMP or even Counterstrike. I doubt that many people used this feature?! I loved it! It was great for showing powerpoint presentations or controling Winamp.
A HTC Wizard could do the same job much better. It could be used as a real keyboard (not just a few keys with shortcuts for special aplications). You could even write your text with other PocketPC input methods. And the screen would be the perfect mouse/touchpad.
The MS BT stack for WM5 has a HID profile, right?! Is it only the server part to connect HID devices like mice and keyboards or is the client part also includet?
This would make the HTC Wizard the ultimate remote control for a Home Cinema PC!!!
Is there noone else who wants this feature?
Profiles to control applicatins without using a monitor would be no problem. You just need a small program with a nice gui on your PPC that writes the needed shortcuts to the keyboard-buffer. If the corresponding application is started on the pc (and has the focus) everthing would be fine!
You would not need programs like Vinyl (not working with my Wizard) or iRemote. They have more features but they are only for WinAmp. Profiles on a Wizard could be used for any application with keyboard control.
I would love to control my home cinema or my presentations on my laptop with my Wizard. Anyone has already found the way to do it?

Try to use zRemote. It displays desktop screen on my Wizard... But it works via ActiveSync (BT works fine).
I have SE K700 and I can control my Wizard with HID profile on phone

ppc as a desktop/laptop trackpad ?

it is just an idea. i thought it would be easier than the classic "tv remote softwares on ppc" for certain uses like net browsing.
-> would it be possible (usefull or not is another problem) to use the tactile screen of a PPC as a laptop pc trackpad to remotely controll (by wifi or internet i guess) the mouse cursor on a desktop pc or a home cinema pc or ... ?
is there a software for this ? something more specific than a tweaked VNC config ?
(and yes i know they sell wireless mouse anywhere lol)
or for the wii?
like bluetooth keyboard for the wii, or to emulate a wiimote?
Thats a really interesting idea.......
it would be great for artists who don't have tablets - you could just draw on your ppc screen with the stylus (when the ppc is displaying the computer) and if it acted as a mouse it would be like pen&paper which is much more accurate than trying to draw something with the mouse (like in paint).
hey guys...
maybe You should try this:

opening software keyboard

Hi All,
Is there a way to assign a hardware button (something like a long press etc) to opening and closing the software keyboard? It would be nice to get access to the keyboard in a Remote Desktop session while still running at full screen.
TIA
I am looking for a solution to this also, I usually leave osk.exe running on the remote server(computer) side and this lets me do any typing I may need to do.
I would love to see an updated RDP client that allows for virtual screen sizes larger than 800x480 with pan like the iPhone RDP clients have.

[Q] Remote Desktop "Mouse Mode"

I am looking for a remote desktop solution, like LogMeIn or TeamViewer that doesn't require me to do any detailed configuration.
The problem is that LogMeIn, for example, won't treat my Note 3 phone as a tablet, so I can't use the mouse like a normal mouse. (The settings for mouse are "move mouse" and "move screen", but there is no direct mode available for phones to use a mouse like a regular mouse.)
My device is a Verizon Android 4.4 KitKat Samsung Note 3 phone (unfortunately rooting is not an option for me), and I am using it with the Note 2 dock with an external monitor and wireless usb keyboard/mouse. Everything works great except I can't find a good remote desktop solution that will allow me to work "normally" in terms of the mouse.
I also have Win 8 Home version on my desktop PC and do not want to configure port forwarding and a fixed ip to solve rotating external IP address assignments. (Please excuse me if I didn't say that correctly, but the point is that I really don't want to deal with those kinds of complexities.) Yes, I realize that I may have too many constraints - don't want configuration challenges (which I think rules out VNC or standard RDP), and also no rooting of the phone. But I am willing to pay a small monthly subscription, e.g. I looked at PocketCloud with $5/month, but that doesn't seem to support my requirement either from a quick look at the manual.
Is there anyone who can suggest a good solution for my needs?
Have you tried the google remote desktop? It's free. I've been pretty impressed with it.

Thanks for the suggestion. I hadn't thought about that because it was relatively new. But I may try it (after some more reading). Unfortunately, it doesn't look good for external mouse support. Here's one review...
Review from Jim Fox
Great, but no external mouse support I have been using Splashtop for a while now, but was super excited to use this when I saw it come on the play store. The problem I have is that when I take remote control of my computer, I use a bluetooth keyboard and mouse. The program works like a trackpad to control the remote mouse with touch, which is great when you don't have an external mouse, but makes it near impossible to control when you do. You have to hold the right mouse button down in order to move the remote mouse and then click with the left. Near impossible to use. Please fix.

On the other hand, the comments make me wonder if I should try LMI and TV again with an external trackpad instead of a mouse. I wonder if that behavior might be better?

Gaming Mice on Android

I'm not sure if anyone else uses a gaming mouse but I thought I would note that while I haven't found a way to configure a gaming mouse in android, you can still use any gaming mouse with onboard memory.
you just program it on your PC and then when you plug it into the android tablet (or any other android device) and all of your pre-sets are there.
This is useful for people that remote into their work computers from home, or just want easy copy paste functionality or for the people that remote into their computers for gaming etc.
Personally I use a gaming mouse (Razer Naga Chroma) for work on a windows 7 workstation but I use my Galaxy note 12.2 exclusively at home with no access to windows.
The Razer Naga and Logitech G600 have a scroll wheel that tilts left and right and the function can be reprogrammed.
I reassign those to copy and paste and its way faster than using the keyboard and saves some wrist strain.
I also have shortcuts for our proprietary software programmed onto the side buttons and having access to that from home is a HUGE timesaver.
now when I work from home I can have everything at my fingertips instead of having to use the onscreen windows functions in teamviewer, or digging through menus in company software.
and a lot of the normal functions carry over to android pretty well (Copy paste is much smoother from the mouse etc.)
Anyways for anyone that this might help these are the ones I've tried so far:
Works:
Logitech G600 (Supports keyboard/mouse functions and simple hotkeys like alt + Shift + Tab but does not support complex macros to device memory)
Roccat Nyth (Supports everything including complex macros but does have a macro length limit.)
Anything with onboard memory will likely work.
Doesnt work beyond default buttons:
Anything with no onboard memory:
Any mouse designed to work with Razer Synapse 2.0
Lower end Logitech mice.
Very helpful post. Thanks for the info. Now to find a small mouse that has onboard memory.
