Round up: Top multiplayer games for android? - Android TV General

perhaps BOB can round up a list of top games to play online for the android and show them on xda tv?
here is a starter of some apps users have posted http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1156434
ive been playing alot of armored strike and navy wars and really enjoy games like that but havent found any others that are as fun and the only reason i know about them is because of xda members.

Here is exactly what you are looking for: http://tech-trip.com/android/top-charts/best-multiplayer-games-2012/

Ingress must be in the top 5.

A very nice game!And it`s free.

MP
Stardunk is pretty fun. Very smooth and a good time waster hehe.

If you don't need super graphics effects etc. I recommend 2/4 player reactor. If you like compete it's the best choice

Cestos 2 is awesome fun...
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.chickenbrickstudios.cestos2

i am currently playing a Darts Multi-Player at the moment called Darts3D, here is the link for anyone who might be interested :good:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5jZHJvaWQuZGFydHMiXQ..

i wish Armored Strike Online was updated because i think it could be better in physics.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.requiem.armoredStrike
im playing Dice With Buddies but i keep getting really bad luck! no skills really needed just what you get
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.withbuddies.dice

my favorites are UNO
and CS Portable

Maybe I'm old school, but I think Pocket Tanks rocks the house

I played arcane legends. Cool game!
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app

5.Warring Empire
4.Pou(you can visit other Pou from Worlwide)
3.CS Portable(very smooth but controls could be better)
2.Six-guns
1.Modern Combat 4
Give me "thanks" from that button!

.
yes

1) Modern combat 4: MMOFPS - Nearly an exact clone of the cod series. Supports excellent 1080p graphics (on certain devices). Multiplayer is very stable/campaign is awesome; and with a dual shock 3 controller and custom touch emulation through sixaxis it feels more like a console then anything.
2) Order and chaos: MMORPG - If you like WoW or similar games this is it. It's exactly like WoW. Outstanding graphics, tons of players, etc. Easily addicting for any mmorpg lover. Very polished controls and UI.
3) Ravensword: Shadowlands: Sandbox RPG - Probably the best graphics I've seen on mobile yet. Elder scroll based game. Open world, cliche leveling and tree system. Ability to play in both 1st and 3rd person perspectives. Large world map, etc.
My top 3 games, though modern combat 5 is due to release sometime soon before the end of the year.

no idea what you are asking, you can play games on android you have an x10 ? you can play games on that to

I got yellwd at in the fascinate forum for saying this but the adreno 205 matches or outdoes the galaxy s gpu 540. So basically it can play any game out there! But don't compare iphone games because there on a completely different os.

Lol i was doing this last night, however the only problem was the intro's to the games were running in turbo mode.i wish i could get them running at the correct speed.
However the biggest wow puller was panoplanet.
I just downloaded West Coast Hustle from Gameloft, but alot of the textures are missing, like the cars are all just white outlines and there are no sky.. Have any of you tried this game?

Go and buy an i-phone or buy a console like xbox360 or Ps3, gaming on fones are rediculous if your a real gamer, Tower defence games and lemmings type games is as far as it should go. The reason why i-phone may have better looking games is doen to the fact that i-phones are so expensive (for no reason) the i-phone user may only have enuff money for 1 console or none, not even got a Desktop Mac (but a crappy xpensive mac book, and not even the Air) so they go all out making games look great for it. If you had bought an iphone you most prob wouldn't even be able to keep up with ya mobile internet tarrif to send in this msg. haha! Besides, Microsoft = xbox live = win mo7. Apple iphone= iphone games = dead batt = iphone.. << no gaming console for it at all, games on a fone especially a touchscreen will definitely drop out ya hands and miss alot of calls, making AppleMac more richer. Get smart and be a leader and not a follower! Win Mo forever, even wince2003se!!!
People bost about games on their fone when the fone features it self are crap, my HTC hD2 is a class A mobile and mini tablet device (why it was made) before being a handheld games console which i have psp and a Ds-i already which is made for games and iphone cannot rival though at all out the box.. Win mo rules out of the box without jail break crap, i hate fones that are still in prison after we already free it buy buying it from da shop!!!
need for speed shift, nova, brother in arms 2, asphalt 5, dungeon hunter, hero of sparta, lets golf 1 & 2, assassin creed, hawx, sandstorm, real football, fifa 10, avatar, fishing kings, ninjump, edge, angry birds, reckless racing, MX moto, fruit ninja, hyperspace, hyperjump, space physics, panzer panic, doodle jump, evac HD, radiant HD, buka HD, totemo HD, dyno kid touch, shoot U, scrabble, monopoly, slice it!, colorix, chop sushi, shark or die, touch racing nitro, solipskier, must eat birds, minisquadron, heavy gunner, home run battle, quake 2 and 3 ports, genesis, snes and psx1 emulators
coming soon nova 2, asphalt 6, dungeon hunter 2
95% running in HD and at awesome framerates on my Desire HD
really i can keep going but i can't be bothered...
but yes android doesn't have as much games, or is receiving games a little later, so if gaming is first for you go to iphone and stop bothering
Buy a psp for 100 bucks and play great games and almost all ps1 games from emulator. Leave phones for what they are doing best - internet, calls and documents. Games on smart phones are the biggest battery drain. If you caro so much for games and hate to bear two devices (phone and psp) with you have to wait for this:
http://www.engadget.com/2010/12/09/exclusive-playstation-phone-zeus-z1-prototype-benchmarked-on/
gingerbread made huge improvements for game coding. new native apis.
we should see some veeery sweet games soon

What's your favorite game/What are you currently playing?

I was curious to see what everyone has been playing currently. For me I have been playing Pokemon Emerald, Asphalt 6, and Dead Space.
Don't really have a favorite yet, but Castle of Shadows has been eating my time. That game is really damn fun! The creators actually did re-release it as Avenger without the requirement of constant online connection and with gameplay upgrades, but the new soundtrack just isn't charming enough for me (not acceptable for me, I'm a bit of a vgmusic enthusiast).
Also been really into Modern Combat 3. The campaign actually feels kinda intense, and I've been on this high all since I got online and found out just how awesome the physical controller advantage was.
If I had to pick a favorite though, it'd have to be Spectral Souls. That is an incredibly deep RPG to have on a phone. And since the PSP version is unplayable, this is its only *real* release.

hey TLR i was really dissapointed by the mc3 controls i thought from reading your review they would be like the nova 2 or rainbow six ones but unfortunately not tell me how you play online with these did u get used to em or do you have a special technique or mind powers or whutttt TLR!!
I've been playing Dead Space, Plants vs Zombies and Sonic CD.
I'm currently playing Galaxy on Fire 2 and 9mm
Dungeon Hunter II is my favorite even though
a)the stupidity of having the attack button (X) be the same button as skip cutscenes means I missed 3/4 of the storyline in the game after a frantic battle with a final boss baddie.
b) I can't play online because it won't let me enter my password (i try to go to the password box and type and it just adds the letters to the end of my username).
Since I beat it I'm currently playing NOVA 2, Sonic CD (2nd time around), Toki Tori, Galaxy On Fire 2 (prob my second favorite), Hot Pursuit (my like on off game, I play for a bit then I leave it alone for a while), and holding on Shadow Guardian waiting for Gameloft to fix the damn game so I can beat it finally.

There are plenty of good games, and there have also been multiple exclusives, just that they don't hold exclusives permanent on the Play, it just doesn't make financial sense. Currently FIFA 12 is exclusive, Dead Space was, as was Hot Pursuit, and others.
We are playing what other people play, but better, we can also play emulators, but better. If you don't like it, do us all a favor already and sell your phone and leave us alone.
Why do people nerd rage so much over exclusives anyway? Is it supposed to be some sort of my epeen is bigger than your statement to have an exclusive?
Modern Combat 3 - surprised I'm playing this since I already beat it on iPad 2.
Asphalt 6 - best racing game on Xperia Play
Where's My Water - First was Angry Birds, then was Cut the Rope, than THIS! Great game
Fifa 12 and star wars the old republic on the PC. To be honest i havent played a game on my play for over a month

Exactly lol. It's all about bragging rights.
I've been playing Experiment 13, Tecmo Super Bowl (old school NES version with 2011-12 rosters), Super KO Boxing 2, and the fresh Experiment 13.
I'd recommend that anyone play Experiment 13. It has a catchy tune, decent graphics, it's fun, and most importantly it's a free Xplay exclusive.

I downloaded galaxy on fire 2 THD and its definately not in HD, the graphics look absolutely gash. Is this just me being an idiot and downloading the wrong version or it not native 1280*800 resolution?

Well, the term "hard core" can go a lot of different ways. If by hard core you mean THD games or basically games that show off your tab's graphical prowess... you've got most of the top ones already. There are some nice older titles like Roboto HD that look great as well but aren't graphically as strong as games like Shadowgun or 9mm.
If you want games that look good and actually work like they're supposed to the ones I added are nice options; It really just depends on the type of games your looking for. I generally blow through 40-60 games a week and can put any others I find in the thread bsweetness suggested, thanks for that btw there were some there I haven't tried yet.
I picked up my tab 2 days after it dropped on-line, and my biggest gripe so far besides color depth has been lack of compatible games. There are a lot out there, but I was surprised at how many don't play nice with ICS or with tablets in general.
They like to tout the "power of gaming" with quad-core devices, but they don't talk about the lack of quality or compatible games do they...

Sent from my SGH-T989 using XDA
That's true. The One X and One S seem to be selling well, so one can only assume that better Tegra 3 support is coming. However, aside from the One phones, how many phones are being released with a Tegra 3 SoC? Well, at least those are selling well.

Best game for me by far is Pinball Arcade. This "game" is a simulation of some of the most popular real life pinball machines that were distributed all over the world from multiple manufacturers.
I've been involved with Pinball games for years both real and virtual and I can tell you the physics and gameplay on this simulation is very very good. To put it truthfully there are guys that have been trying to emulate these real life pinball games for years over at VPForums that haven't come even close to this quality. For a guy that has played these particular games in real life and in multiple formats virtually ( thanks to VPforums ) this is as close as it gets to having the ultimate pinball fix. Plays fantastic on the nexus7. Don't let the price of the tables sway you they are worth every dime, you can tell someone spent a whole lot of time on these to make sure they play just like the real thing.

Dude you made my day with this post.
I already had 22 of what I consider to be the top-notch games on my Nexus 7 (which I've only owned for about 6 days now) and I thought I was pretty much done with what was available in the Play Store. Until you posted.. I've already bought four tables and I'm sure I'm going to buy the rest.

2013 Your Top 5 Xplay Games!

So I finally wiped out everything and learned to root my 800at xperia play and download some new games. Took a lot of the bloatware off and my phone is running fast again.
Here are my top 5 games so far this new year:
1) Mini Motor Xperia-What an awesome game. I was a huge Atari Sprint and RC Pro AM fan back in the old days and this one is even better with weather condition, nightime racing, and 3D cars. Controls on the play is great and makes this game on the best games on the play.
2) Offroad legends-This game is great too! If you were a fan of Excite Bike or Kickstart this is like it using monster trucks. Great controls, graphics, and it's just simple and addicting.
3) Starfront Collision HD-I loved star craft and this one is kinda like it on the ground setting. Nice graphics and fluid game all around.
4) NBA Jam-Great game with both new stars and old. Sometimes the analog is a little off but overall it's still one of the best. Try playing 2 player and this game makes it really fun.
5) Minecraft Pocket Ed-The world of minecraft on the play is amazing. I like the controls and features on the play.
What are your favorite top 5 play games this year?
I have lots of complaints on about Mini Moto Racing especially the AI and money making scheme and thought I wasted my money, though I did managed to beat it.
I enjoyed Sonic CD, first time I played Sonic in my life.
Otherwise typical classic ports:
Metal Slug 3
Raiden Legacy
Blazing Star
OpenTyrian
Another World
Most disappointed purchase: EnbornX. I thought it was a shmup, it turned out to be some anime shooter with boss only and no stages.

Well in all honesty I buy these games to support the developers because I'm never going to be able to afford the actual console and cartridges which cost too much. Raiden 2 works better on MAME, a bit slow but you can atleast assign the orientation.
I thought the SNK games are really easy now because they allow autofire. Try Blazing Star as well, its a side shooter.

4. Expendable Rearmed
5. NFS Most Wanted
Or wait, it should actually be

5. The Bard's Tale Xperia Ed

2. TDKR
3. NFS Most Wanted
4. NOVA 3

My favourite overall list would include Modern Combat 4 Zero Hour and Shadowgun: Deadzone, I play these on my Nexus 7.

Strangely it's not. It was released for iOS quite a while ago now. If i'm not mistaken, it was confirmed for Android but there doesn't seem to be any word on it for some reason. Fifa 12 was released on android by this time last year
