[Q] When selectiing Shutdown on Quick Boot app, phone just restarts - EVO 4G General

I am currently using a combination of No Lock, Screen Off, and Quick Boot (because my power button stopped working - if you have suggestions on how to unroot without a power button please let me know). Anyway, I noticed that when selecting Shutdown on Quick Boot, my phone shuts down and then restarts right away. I am running CM7 7.0.3. If you could share some insight, I would appreciate it.

32b, home button and menu button acting weird

First off, i would appreciate any help. I've had my girlfriends phone rooted and running gingeryoshi rc4 for the past few months. She dropped her phone from about a foot high and it turned off on her. When she turned it back on, it booted into recovery.
I'm running amon recovery on it. I've tried running a recent nandroid, and it say it completes, but when it restarts, it boots back into recovery... I've tried fresh installs of different roms, other nandroids, partitioning sd card, and clearing everything. All the installas say they work, but they boot back into recovery.
Now, what I notice that is weird, is that when you have to confirm your actions in amon recovery, and you have to press the home button to confirm, i dont have to press it, it does it automatically. But then, sometimes it doesn't do it automatically and pressing the home button doesn't confirm that action, but the menu button will confirm the action. Other times the menu button will do what is supposed to do, and abort its task.
Oh, and I was able to boot up once after a fresh install of gingeryoshi rc7. But the setup wizard crashed and there was never any launcher or home screen, but there was a status bar and lockscreen. Sometimes I think it boots straight into recovery because the home button is stuck? But it's actions don't make it seem stuck
Sorry for making it so long, any help would be greatly appreciated... thanks.

Touch Screen Stopped Working

Hi guys,
My Mrs. Orange SanFran has all of a sudden decided it doesnt want it's screen touched anymore. All the hard buttons are working and can not see any other issues. Seems there are several people who have experienced it but it seems to resolved itselfon a restart but her's isn't, no matter how long I take the battery out or pressing the reset under the battery cover I can't use the screen making it useless.
Any ideas? I stuck a custom Rom of 2.2 on it when first got it but can't remeber which one, maybe modaco Kitchen R12 Rom.
Cheers
Reboot to recovery, Wipe both Dalvik and normal cache, and restart. If that doesn't help, do a factory reset / wipe data, and restart. If that doesn't help re-install the rom.
Thanks for the tip, but I tried to enter recovery by holding down volume key when powering up but a screen breifly loaded that had the small text "android" written upsidedown but then just goes on loop of the screen and the standard screen, can't do anything.
Holding up volume whilst powering on doesn;t do anything and because I can't use the touch screen I can't access any recovery apps through the phone OS.
It's weird cause I've used to recovery mode on phone boot before as first ROM didn't work, so I know the recovery module worked before, no idea why not now. :-s
Could be either bad flash/root or faulty hw. Google "de-bricking a ZTE Blade".
Thanks again. Came across a very thorough article on modaco but unfortunately the phone won't do anything than a normal startup when holding the up volume or up and menu, so can't try any of the suggestions.
The volume buttons do work though as moved the volume in the OS
Just to be sure: you did first press & hold the volume down button, and then press & hold the power button? You have to hold them both down until the recovery menu pops up. I can take even 10 seconds or more.
If everything fails, try TPT flash. It should solve if there is no hardware issue.

[Q] Fast boot wont start, Help?

I've been trying for over an hour now just to get it into fast boot mode and yet everytime it just boots normally. Now i am aware that you have to press the camera button while power on but obviously i haven't just been trying that i've tried it while powering on while it's on and all of the above to do with pressing the camera button but to no avail so i don't know where else to turn as if i keep going on (which for tonight i'm going to stop) i will destroy the F**ker with a plethora of tools i have downstairs and will enjoy it. it's unbelievably frustrating GAH. Thank you

[Q] Download mode boot loop

Hi, I'm hoping someone can advise on a strange issue I have with my phone. If I power down the phone then it powers back up in download mode. If I take out the battery then put it back in, the phone will automatically power up in download mode.
While in download mode, if I hold the power down for 5 seconds to shut down the phone then quickly hold vol down + home + power then the phone loads to the "Warning!! a custom OS can cause critical problems in phone and installed applications" screen. From here, I can press vol down to "Cancel (restart phone)", after which the phone boots normally and everything appears to be fine. All the buttons work perfectly and there doesn't appear to be anything else wrong at all. However, powering down will again cause the phone to go into download mode.
The phone was previously rooted, but while trying to repair the issue I have flashed a stock firmware and tried a factory reset. This doesn't appear to have changed anything though.
In download mode the Binary Status is now Samsung Official and the System Status is Official too (which I'm hoping means I won't be refused a warranty repair). I think the phone may have got a little damp at the Reading festival last weekend, but I find it strange that nothing else appears to be wrong with the device apart from this weird boot loop.
Any suggestions to try something before I take it back to the shop would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

BOOLOOP

Hi all, I have been using CM for a long time, but I accidentally deleted the system and data and all the partitions, now I am trying to recover and I am not able to recover. What strikes me is that I try to enter the TWRP mode, I can not, or even Download Mode, nor can I run the adb command (because the phone is off). What happens is that also my power button has problems, when I put the battery, the cell phone turns on automatically, the question that I ask is will it interfere in not booting in recovery and download? Incidentally, when I put the battery at the same time I click on the Home and Volume-, it opens the warning screen on custom Os, but when I press the volume+ button nothing happens besides restarting and flashing in the bootlogo.
Desperately I need your help.
There's not much you can do without download mode. And if the power button is the problem, then I suggest fixing it somehow.
