Looking for WifiRouter.apk - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

Hey guys in desperately looking for the wifirouter.apk that installs with the Desire builds. I have downloaded virtually every Desire rom to see if the file happens to contain the folder structure with the system/app folder. If someone can explain how to decompress a sqsh'ed file I could do that.
Can someone email me the wifirouter.apk?

Um go to his thread, hit the download link then follow on from there?
Just use something like es file explorer then to move the files into your Android folder the same way you would on your pc, EXTREMELY straightforward!!!

The dev folder isn't needed for anything other than devs from what I remember, all you need to copy is the root folder (this goes in the android folder eg SD/Android/Root) and replace your existing zImage with the one included, simply put extract all minus the dev folder

HELP! cooking flashable zip into rom!!!

I am trying to take a keyboard that somebody made into a flashable .zip file, and implement it into a rom that I am working on. What I did was flash the .zip through cwm, then found the apk, backed it up, and then placed it in the /system/app folder on the new rom. The problem is as soon as the rom boots, I get a force close error. So I took a look at the .zip file, there are two folders meta-inf and system. inside system there is an app folder and lib folder. My question is can I just take the apk and lib file out and place them directly into /system/app and system/lib on the new rom? and if so do i need to do anything with the META-INF folder? any ideas would be GREATLY appreciated!!!
thanks
the META-INF folder may have some script that does some other manipulation of the filesystem or runs helper apps during installation. See what's in META-INF/com/google/android/update-script.

[Q] How to merge external files with rom files?

Hey guys,
I just started the long journey of android rom development/cooking using an app called Android Kitchen, and I'm looking for some help from the more experienced. I extracted a custom rom folders (for personal use), and started to edit some of the extracted files (replacing and deleting), but I'm quite lost when it comes to merging flashable .zip folders (like lockscreens and mods) with the extracted rom file.Should I copy and paste whats inside the flashable zip into the rom file? Or should I use note editor to copy what's inside the mod file itself, copy the text, and add it to the original one? I really want to add these mods through this app rather than recovery mode. And can I emulate edited roms on my computer rather than risking my phone?
Thnx...

Fix for Sprint and 3rd party lollipop roms

I don't know the first thing about Android development, especially making flashable zips, but what I DO know is that I was just able to update my profile and prl on my n5 running the January 9th nighty of cm12. Here's how I did it:
1 extract the zip I'm adding here to your internal storage.
2 copy the extracted folder to your system/app/ folder. As a folder, not just the apk.
3 go through the subfolders until you get to the lib folder, then copy the two files inside to system/lib/
4 set the proper permission for all the files and folders involved.
Now let me be clear, I know this is overly complicated, my hope is that someone can respond to this this thread and post a flashable zip that would make this much much easier. Also I don't know if this will work with any other rom, just the one I have right now.

Pretty sure there was already a few "Sprint fix" zips around lol.
Well now I feel dumb. But happy too because either way I won't have to worry about it anymore.
