[Q] Change the default dock app - Acer Iconia A500

Hi,
Is there a way to change the default application that loads when connecting the tablet to the dock?
It currently runs nemoPlayer, however I'd rather it just run the stock standard Music app.

I don't know, but since I have installed the last Taboonay ROM (0.9.1), there is no more app opening when I put the tablet on the dock, and for me this is better...

Hmm, well that works too I guess... although does the actual dock work with the rom? For example, does the remote control work, audio out, etc?
I just put that rom on mine, so I'll try this when I get home I guess...

I would be very interested to see if there was a fix for this in the 4.0.3 stock ROM. I'd prefer to use clear.fi to stream media from my PC so that the dock finally finds a use as a bedroom hifi system....

Do you have ICS on your tab? What happens if you disable Nemo player in the App settings?

changing default music player for bluetooth

i need a bit of help. i'm using bluetooth linking to my car and everytime it queues the phone for music when the link is established then the phone will pull the default music player. i want to change it so that i can have winamp start instead of the default player. its getting rather annoying..
Try going to settings/applications/manage applications/all tab scroll to media room select it then hit clear defaults. Media room is heavily incorporated into the Sense framework so it might be greyed out and not fix your issue but it's worth a try.

[Q] Anyone working on the Dock?

I picked up the dock and really like the remote feature, but I was wondering, is anyone working on developing it to do anything else? Like be able to control apps other than Nemo Player. I'd even settle for allowing it to control Nemo Player the same way Nemo works when it's not on the dock, mainly being able to scroll through folders when choosing videos. When you have 20 videos it's a pain to search through them.
Is any of this possible?

[Q] Acer Iconia App Modding.

Is it possible to make the NEMO-Player app for the dock OR the dock let the remote control other apps like RockPlayer and Pandora? or eveo the stock Music app?
P.S. If your looking for a keyboard mouse combo for this I highly Recommend the Logitech MK300 Because it does ALL the functions via the keyboard like HOME volume, and the Song changing. lock wake etc. Will make a video soon

Bluetooth Media Info: AVRCP 1.3 Question

I recently got a new car that allows song metadata to be displayed on the in-car dashboard when connected to my GNote2 via bluetooth, and to some capacity, yes, it does work. However, it only seems to correctly display the metadata when using the Google Music app, with other apps such as Grooveshark, Music Unlimited, etc. not displaying anything. Is there anything that can be done to fix this problem? My current ROM is Jelly Beans Build 1.
Nothing at all?
Works for me on the stock ROM, so this is probably more of a ROM-based question.

The stock Samsung music player displays metadata and offers full external control over functions (EG: shuffle, repeat). Samsung's own Music Hub doesn't show metadata. It allows external control of forward, back, pause, and play and that's about it. Like someone else said, it's app dependent as the (stock) BT firmware supports it.

Which apps work for you?
Hi how is everyone ?

Streaming music from the phone using a non stock launcher

I know this topic is a little weird, but hear me out:
I just bought a no name car android unit and installed Launcher AG.
The problem is, each time I open the stock media streaming app (which streams the media from my phone to the car), it opens the stock phone app instead of the streaming app.
When I check the media streaming actual app info, I can see it is part of the stock phone app. So my guess is that the stock launcher has a shortcut to part of the phone app, and that is the streaming app.
My question is how can I still stream media from my phone using a different launcher?
Is there a third part app which could replace the media streaming app?
I hope I made myself clear. Waiting anxiously for your input.
Thanks a lot in advance.

I have this exact same problem with my Joying unit. Music streaming only works with the stock launchers for me.

I've tried a few options and nothing works properly. You can force it to open by using an app to launch the streaming activity but recreating the shortcut for it still launches the phone
