Wifi does not connect after sleep - Eee Pad Transformer General

Not a huge issue but for some reason when I turn ON my TF from a long sleep/hybernation (1hr+), it will lose it's wifi connection to my house but the icon says that it is connected (but with no internet access). The only way I can fix this is by turning off and on the wifi. I would rather not have to do this. Is there a way/fix for this issue so that the wifi will reconnect once the tablet wakes?
Thanks!

This is one of several bugs that I am starting to fined annoying. I have to leave wifi as always on rather than disconnect on sleep.
The other issue is browser closing...still no fix for that either.

Are you talking about the power control widget that comes with the phone?
Yes.....
In that case then yes, my phone doesn't auto connect to my network when I turn on wifi I have to go into settings too.
I've been having issues with my phone staying connected to wifi also. It's become quite annoying.

Connect to WiFi network timeout?

Hello. I'm sure that this must have been discussed but I cannot find the answer using search. As is surely normal, I use WiFi within the home and GPRS when there is no WiFi available. If WiFi is connected and I go out for a short while, then when I get back in a WiFi area, the WiFi is still connected. However, if I go away for a long time, and GPRS is used for perhaps a regular weather update, then the WiFi disconnects and has to be manually reconnected upon return to home. This leads to GPRS being used in a WiFi area unnecessarily if you forget to re-connect WiFi. Is there a WiFi connection timeout value or any other setting that can be changed? My old TyTN II did not have this problem. Thanks.
Try this CAB
It disable disconnecting WiFi when phone is in sleep mode and with this phone automaticly connects to WiFi when Leo will be in range.
Thanks Franq_23_pl. I think that the CAB just stops WiFi disconnecting when the device is in sleep mode. That will just drain the battery, surely? My old TyTN used to disable WiFi when in sleep mode, but as soon as you switched it on again, WiFi would be enabled and it would connect if in range. The problem with my HD2/Leo is that if I am away from my WiFi for some considerable time (ie, most of the day), then when I get back home and switch the device on, WiFi is disabled, and I have to manually toggle in on. So my question is..... What are the circumstances that cause WiFi to disable itself, and Is there some way of stopping it happening?
OIC now. I think you having some battery saving app and this app turning off WiFi when iz not used. What apps or registry mods you have installed on Leo?
You have the same behavior after hard reset?
My Leo don't disable WiFi. When i go outside (for ex to work) and back after few hours my Leo connecting to my home wireless network automaticly.
I remember, that i had the same problem like you and it was caused by app, which had duty to save battery.

3.1 wifi connection issues

I have noticed this a lot - I have found other threads with the same issue.
Every time I try to connect to any wifi network - I will have reset the tablet in order to make the connection. It will ultimately go back and forth from "Scanning" to "connecting" but never "Connected."
I noticed that 3.1 had a downgraded wifi driver, what gives? I never saw an improvement.
I have the same problem. Only fix I have ever heard anyone talk about is using a static IP address.
Same issue there. After a long period of "sleep" time, my tablet also has issues recovering the Wi-Fi.
However, resetting only the Wi-Fi (in parameters, uncheck Wi-Fi then re-check it) works for me and my tablet gets connected afterwards.
Switching into and out of air plane mode also seems to fix it for me... But it is very annoying...

Lillipop Wifi Issue (connect and disconnect between 4g and WiFi))

Hi,
I have the strangest behavior with my wifi, the phone keeps connecting and disconnecting between 4G and WiFi every few seconds when i'm at home. This drains my battery in couple of hours and I can't do anything unless i turn off WiFi. I have smooth transition between 4G and Wifi enabled in settings (i've tried disabling it, all it did was to speed up connect and disconnect between 4G and wifi) Anyone else experiencing this strange behaviour with WiFi and 4g?
I have the same behavior. You need to disable "Smart network switch" under the advanced Wi-Fi settings. I have not found a fix that will allow leaving this feature enabled.
I disabled the "smart network switch" and my phone still refuses to connect to known networks that are well within signal range. It may be staying connected better once connected but I have my wifi sleep with the screen so when I wake it up, the wifi should re-connect. Not working well at all. This 5.0 update sucks, you'd think that since Verizon takes forever to get updates to flagship phones that at least they'd be well tested and stable, NOT!

T231 wifi problem after screen turn off

I have SM-T231 and i am using Russian firmware, Android 4.4.2. I have a small but very annoying problem which i couldn't resolve no matter what i tried. My wifi connection doesn't work after my screen turns off.
Wifi connection is set to turn off during standby mode to save battery power. I see that the wifi connection becomes active after i wake up my tablet with power button but i receive no data whatsoever. It doesn't get fixed `till i turn off and on wifi connection manually. I tried to use static ip feature by thinking that maybe my router causing the problem with dhcp but this didn't help.
Anyone have an idea what might cause this very annoying issue?
