[MOD] Rosie Sense 3.0 [Right Button Mapping] - Thunderbolt Android Development

Well, XDA, it was fun while it lasted! Thanks for the fish! All future development will take place on both Team BAMF Forums and RootzWiki.
We thank all our fans for their continued support and encourage them to make the transition with us!

Reserved for future ...

Nice, the mods just keep coming.

I'll say it again. Thank you for getting this guy a Thunderbolt

Thanks for getting this out there! Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work on BAMF 3.0 RC4. I've tried to flash it a few times now and there's no Rosie Settings apk in the app drawer.

Hold on, I'm posting one for RC4 soon.
EDIT: ok, links posted now for both versions.

Thanks it's working wonderfully now! Just what we needed. Glad to see you over here on the Thunderbolt and with Team BAMF

Has anyone tried this on Gingeritis? Batt's too low to backup/restore right now.

First off, welcome aboard.
Do you think you could look into remapping the camera with this?
For some reason if you try to remap the right button to the camera it throws an error.

That's the fault of the RosieSettings application. It uses the wrong intent for the camera. I'll see if I can find out why.
EDIT: the reason this fails is because the rosie settings application assumes that every package will ONLY have one launch intent. The camera application has two and thus fails. If you notice, this method also has a lot of other pitfalls. The list of available applications to map to is quite small.

awesome work ihtfp i love that ur sharing the mods 1 by 1 to let me decide! thanks as always cant wait to see what you come up w next

Thank you very much ihtfp69 for putting this together, although I had a Droid Eris, so I missed the boat on the DInc, I have heard nothing but great things about your Skyraider Roms and I look forward to seeing more of your work on the Bolt.

Glad to have you on the TB forums! Thanks for this mod, been waiting for it ever since I took the plunge on GB.
Many thanks.

Thankyou for coming to the bolt,
Question;
What is the chance we can get a 5 row rosie on rc4?

Yea but somehow I feel that it is not working 100%. But seriously, flash. Its a neat feature that we're missing. Too bad eh?
Well, as I'm already using the Azure rom, I already have the 2 features I wanted most... putting apps on the sd card and the rotation, as already said. Except the rom allows a full 360 degree.
But the apps 2 sd was a big one since the Legend ran out of space after only a few app installs.

MODs - PLEASE DELETE THREAD (Thanks!)

DELETE PLEASE. No longer needed.

Hey, just so everybody knows, this is put together by Toastcfh. It says so right in the kernel version. I know somebody posted this to the Development board, where the thread was locked.
If you want the original, and OP, I suggest doing this, post the link to the IRC. When you enter the room, Toast's latest is available as a bitly link at the top. Please please please give credit to Toastcfh and the other dev's for there work.
Thanks, and it's too bad that you didn't just post the instructions from your source, becase it was directing people to the IRC to get it.
You should peruse the forums here at home more. Toast's CM7 and how to get it have been no secret for a long time.

how solid is this rom? i'm currently running mikrom at the moment and it is FAST! i would like to give this a try also if someone recommends it. what are the flaws?

I'm also going to edit the original thread I posted giving thanks and recognition to toastcfh for his hard work on this rom.

Swype works fine for me. I had the dreaded GPS issue just like the evo guys get often. I've not tried their fix, been too busy, but it'll probably work.
4G works, I still don't much care for ADW launcher and it's "5" screens. Anyone know if you can set it to "7" like Sense, Launcher Pro?

Not sure what the EVO fix is Smurf, but we've been having success with flashing a Sense ROM, getting GPS lock, then rebooting to recovery, wiping, restoring CM nandroid.

Not sure what you mean about "devs leaving the scene". I merely posted what I found on another forum etc. It's not an official build thread under the "Development" section where I had posted originally where I should not have. It's up to each individual to pursue installing/testing this rom. My post was for informational purposes only in regards to what I had found.

Any developer want to take a look at the test ROM leaked and see if we can port sense 3.0 over?
DO NOT TRY TO FLASH THIS! THIS IS NOT A ROM! IT NEEDS TO BE PORTED OVER!
Thunderbolt Rooted!
I don't care for Sense, but that clock seems cool... I'll rip 'er open and see what works.
Edit: wow... slow download on 367MB... I guess I'll work on it in 2 hours when it's done DL'ing.
Agreed. I enjoy stock much better. But I wouldn't mind trying out Sense 3.0 just to see how much different it is. But it'll never replace my stock experience lol.
From what I've read in the reviews, the coolest thing about 3.0 is the customizable lockscreen. I wouldn't mind getting that ported over if it will work on our devices.

Touchscreen works in ICS now (Alpha rom available)

Looks like PreludeDrew has figured out how to make the touchscreen work on the Evo 4G, for Ice Cream Sandwich, according to his tweet;
"@EndLesEVO Touchscreen works for the Evo 4G on Ice Cream Sandwich."
Just thought I'd pass along the good news. No mention of roms ready just yet, but this looks to be a fantastic step in the right direction.

It may have been done personally to keep it from going off task and starting 'drama'. I'm sure it'll re-open upon their next alpha/beta/update release.
His rom is so close to usable all we need is camera and no reboots
Then we can start throwing in stuff like bottom status bar and toggling ICS soft keys

Me neither. I am enjoying it.
I haven't had any reboots, but it runs really slow for me, once thats taken care of I'll give it a test run for a few days of use
Don't forget to turn off vibrate on touch/ keypress in the sound and keyboard settings. Helps a little but still lags.
Hoping they closed the alpha thread because the beta is close.
Aside from the camera and lag, most everything works. Typing this connected to my wifi while listening to Pandora on my bluetooth headphones.
