In my brothers phone i tried to flash the recovery img with yaffs expert apk the same result.but then i updated the phone through kdz updater but the rom is 2.1with fastboot rom.in fastboot rom yaffs expert apk works perfectly.
I think it cant flash the original lg rom.if u want to install clockwork recovery pls first install 2.1 rom with fastboot.

Try to flash 2.1 rom with fastboot.its simple.download lg usb driver kdz updater and a fastboot enabled rom.when u updated to a fastboot rom the yffsexpert will work correctly.first updating process needs a pc.

I have found another link in xda for 2.3.4 recovery. What is it? Is it for update of 2.3.3 to 2.3.4 through recovery option? I have already downloaded it and waiting for your reply. If not then I download 2.3.4 fastboot mentioned by you.

On the Motorola boot image screen it will say unlocked in the top left hand corner. If not unlocked, I got an easy way for you to unlock and root your phone. Just post again and I will help ya.

Easiest way is to go into the market and download "ROM Manager" by ClockworkMod. In that program pick the first option to flash clockwork mod. Put the ROM on your internal SD card then boot into recovery. Perform your wipes and then install the .zip from sd card.
Sent from my MB860 using Tapatalk
tried tha too. same problem blacka screen comes up with a caution triangle
Sent from my MB860 using Tapatalk
You may not be rooted. Do you have superuser in your app list? Does ROM manager ask for root privileges? Did you grant them?

is there any way that i can get my motoblur account back on alien 4? cuz evey time i tried to set it up this error comes up "there were erros getting data from the blur service." how can i solve this ?
Advice BEFORE i unlock appreciated !
I followed this guide to root my T-Mobile Atrix http://briefmobile.com/motorola-atrix-4g-root
I then installed both TitaniumB & CWM to test it phone was rooted ok & all currently seems good..
I NOW want to follow this guide (((http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...97&postcount=1))) with
the end goal being to install my custom roms (eg Alien or CM7)
As a NOOB i do have a couple of querys BEFORE I enter the path to enlightenment. I really appreciate some
advice..
1. Is there a guide (OR ADVICE FROM ANY PRO OUT THERE) that can tell me how to backup my current stock T-
Mobile installation ?
2. I am assuming I can jump straight to "Unlock your Bootloader" correct or not ?
3. If I CAN jump straight to "Unlock your Bootloader" should I miss anything out based on the fact I did not use Gingerbreak to root my atrix ?
4.Do I need to do a network unlock BEFORE starting any of the above ?
5.Why on step 10 does it say "10. Load up the SBF file – IHOP_Bell.sbf"
but the actual file inside the RAR is called "intl-fix-try1.sbf" ??? Worry or not ??
IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I NEED TO DO prior to following this guide ?
Thanks friends...........
John
UPDATE:-
Took the plunge, all seemed to work great... No need for anyone to waste their time on me..Thank you

There's a modified boot.img? I don't think so... To root, all you need is a custom recovery. I also wouldn't use the toolkit. At this step, it's just as easy to do it manually. Just type in with your device in fastboot and connected to a PC: "fastboot flash recovery name of recovery.img"

Just try them yourself and see. I personally like Trinity Four (latest releases have dark PA colors. To get nice/normal colors flash TF92G) and FrankenKernel.

downgrading lg l7 p705 from 4.1.2 to 4.0.3

i have a lg l7 p705 4.1.2 and cant find a way of rooting it. so i am thinking of downgrading it back to 4.0.3, if possible. i am new to this thing and has never rooted a device. would appreciate if you can suggest me a way in a simpler language cause i did saw somethings for what i was looking for but couldnt understand what they were trying to tell
hi man ^^ go here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2423376&highlight=downgrade
then click on the link and download the v10k rom (v10k is 4.0.3) and simply flash it using kdz flasher
after the installation you will have 4.0.3 with root and cwm recovery
but remember this: if,after the installation, the phone doesn't boot remove battery then put in the battery and enter in recovery mode, now wipe data and wipe cache and reboot your phone
is really simple
seriosly...you made very simple thanx a lot...one more thing..what does flashing mean and how do i enter recobery mode...it would be really helpful of u
Sent from my LG-P705 using xda app-developers app
for flashing i mean istalling rom using kdz program and to enter recovery mode u have to shutdown the phone and keep pressed vol+,vol-,home,and power button then when u see your phone vibrates release power button but keep pressed all the other buttons until u see the recovery
