Possible solution to WB TW 007.1 Vignette error - XPERIA X10 General

It worked for me.
1.Take picture using vignette
2.Encounter error
3.Reboot phone
4.go to gallery and check if pics are there
Post results please. It's worked for me using 06.23 version. Hopefully this helped . Using 3.52 kernel TW 007.1.
EDIT:Vignette works FINE WITH ZKERNEL. INSTALL ZKERNEL TO FIX VIGNETTE SAVING ERRORS

Version 2010-11-04 is fine.
As I have posted in Wolfbreak's post, seems that no one pay attention to that post.

it might work but I don't have a backup for that version, as don't many. also its pretty old so I'm guessing a few new features and tweak might be lost. also the older versions of vignette was extremely slow, the new ones have fixed that, so I'd like to stay on the current one.

I refer you to this
Absolutely 100% working version.
Saves files quickly and promptly to the SD cars with no reboot.
LED works.
I suggest you ask the devs of the app to release older versions

i know but i doubt many people have a november backup of the app...

the developers if the app will.
Ask them for it and explain the situation.
I would happily share mine if out was a free app.

GOOD NEWS
Here is the reply I got from the developers of the vignette app to my email
Hi Greg
Some older releases of Vignette can be found on our website at
http://sites.google.com/site/neilandtheresa/Vignette/releases
If you can provide us with any information that would allow Vignette
to detect whether it was running on an X10 with such a ROM (e.g. the
contents of android.os.Build.VERSION.INCREMENTAL and
android.os.Build.DISPLAY), we might be able to solve the problem for
you.
Thanks,
Neil.
I hope this sorts out your problems

My way of getting a almost perfect Cyanogen Mod 6 on X10

Ok here it goes. What im trying to do here is share my experience and how i managed to get a almost fully working Cyanogen Mod rom on my x10, due to the fact that there was some mis understandings between the devs and development has some how decreased. It goes to show that working together could bring wonders to the X10. This setup is rock solid! Not one reboot in 3 days test, sd card works(sometimes you have to unmount in settings to install say angrybirds and others then mount again) but it works, camera works, video camera works(with illusion app on market), wifi fixed with blade wifi fix, smooth as butter, maps work, gps works etc!
Heres what i did!
First with recovery flash Zs beta 3, factory reset, cache wipe, boot. After it is settled flash Zs beta 3 hot fix 1 with recovery, reboot, flash Zs gapps zip 19xx., reeboot. When it boots set up everything, contacts, facebook, twitter, everything! All your accounts! When done boot into recovery and do a backup of the rom. Then with recovery flash Trips Cyanogen Rom V1, wipe data, cache and davlik cache, and reboot. When cyanogen is settled in, go to recovery and flash Zs gapps zip V1, reboot. Go to recovery again and flash Zs beta 3 hotfix 1 on Cyanogen, reboot. Go to recovery and on back up and restore, advanced and restore only data from Zs rom you made a backup of before, reboot. You may have to flash gapps zip again if market is missing, so do it, if not go to next step. Go into market and download illusion video cam app, and blade wifi fix. You should now have video recording with illusion app and wifi should be fixed! Hope this help some people to get an excellent rom on their device as this my daily driver with no issues so far and everything that should work does. I just hope the devs can come together as i know theyre capable of making wonders for our devices! Thanks to T, Z, J and all others in xda for making my device awesome! Thanks!

Thanks for the info man!
Why don't you share a backup of that rom?
Thanks!
hm, ok, but mixing the 2 roms is way easier from the first method mentioned, and takes a lot less time, but i like the innovative thinking
I made my cyanogen rom too, and my works too. But i merged trip cyanogen 1.2 with zdzihu freex10 beta 4 and it worked like a charm. Even sdcard so no need for unmounting for installing angry birds. If someone need the zip tell me how i can share it. But u need the latest baseband .54 to use it.
Sorry for my English
And sorry that i used your thread.

i will open a own thread for sharing the files when i finished the upload on mediafire.

The devs seem to be using mediafire so upload it there it should be fairly simple since you were able to find a roundabout way of merging them. Then link the dl site here. Might wanna check if its ok with the people you got it from though. Just respect ya know?

With the development of the video camera, have you tried any of the QR scanners?
For example I use Barcode Scanner pretty often, is it the software of Barcode Scanner using the android drivers making it not work, or is there a way to get the barcode scanner running similarly to the 3rd party video camera app.
Thanks

[Q] HTC_IME and 2.3.3 = FC

Hi all,
Just updated to 2.3.3 (Generic AM x10a) and everything seems to be working as promised. All my apps have reinstalled and are working nicely except for one. I cannot get the HTC_IME to work. It always FCs. I have updated it to v27 as per this thread but to no avail.
Can anyone help me get this keyboard up and running? I miss my HTC_IME!
Thanks.
i believe youre missing some libs.
Umm. What libs? How would I find out which ones and then add them?

Strange, I'm still using the .apk I downloaded for froyo and it's working fine... between eclair and froyo I needed a new version but after that no problems at all.

I also am having a problem with HTC_IME and force close stating process jonasl.ime has stopped unexpectedly after I upgraded to 2.3.3. Even with the apk posted here, it continues. I did what Puck24 suggested by installing clicker, but it didn't help. Any other apk for the keyboard or suggestions?

Camera not working (NexusHD2-ICS-CM9-HWA)

Hi Guys, I have serched the forums for my specific problem but came up short... trying this for seconds...
I have a HD2 wich I've installed NexusHD2-ICS-4.0.4-CM9-HWA V2.6 (Kernel: tytung_HWA_r3.4)
I have followed every step and everything works fine, EXCEPT the camera.
The camera app never fully loads and just stops responding with the screen going black as the only result.
"camera not responding, do you want to shut down? cancel or yes"
any tips?
I'm new to this forum so Im not sure what other info I should provide, so here goes.
Version 4.0.4
BaseBand 15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14
Kernel 2.6.32-ICS_tytung_HWA_r3.4
Mem 420Mb
(The camea works just fine with WP7, WP7.5, Windows Mobile orig)
Help would be much appreciated
//The Major
Just wanted to add that the phone is a EURO international HTC HD2
So noone can help?
Do I have to reinstall everything and hope for the best? Or have i got a broken device??
easiest wat out of problem is to instal different camera app,try cameraZOOM works fine on my hd2 running on same rom but 2.4
or reinstall rom again.
this should realy be posted in the correct thread, you would probably get more accurate
answers from folk running the same rom.
hope this helps.

Ok, I'll try the app approach... I'll reinstalled the orig ROM oand camera works, I installed a GB ROM and the camera works. I REINSTALLED this ROM and camera works up untill the point of where i actually take a pic - then the camera app shuts down... video seems to work..
I cannot post in the ROM thread - because of forum rules...
Thanks for the tip though - I shall try it.

No doesn't really matter what cameraapp I install, the camera shuts down right after shutter (when the pic is written to storage)
with the message "sorry the camera app had to shut down"
Seem to be the GB approach I'll have to go with...

So I went and tried this ROM:
PARANOIDANDROID HD2 v1.5b [TABLET/HYBRID][CM9][A2SD][tytung_HWA_r3.2]
And everything works... how weird - because it seems to be the same kernel?? apart from HWA_r3.2 in this ROM and 3.4 in the ROM that doesn't work... for me it's a headscratcher - I mean I really want the "NexusHD2-ICS-4.0.4-CM9-HWA V2.6 (Kernel: tytung_HWA_r3.4)" but maybe with the 3.2 kernel instead...
how to go about and get that one??
For me everything works just fine. Same ROM same device

I kinda realized that it's not neccesarily the ROM but mor with the Kernel.. I'm trying som different ROMs and different kernels, and the result varies...
Kernel: 2.6.32-ics_tytung_HWA_r3.2
ROM: LeoKing 2.3.6
Camera works but batterydrain is a *****... and endomondo stops working...
will try the PARANOIDANDROID HD2 v1.5b [TABLET/HYBRID][CM9][A2SD][tytung_HWA_r3.2] but flash a different kernel instead of the tytung one!!
I do realize that the phone will never work as good as with a winmobile original RUU.
Hey try out the new version from tytung. Works like a charm.

What I mean is that I have got the NexusHD2-ICS-CM9-HWA_V2.6 working - don't know what I did different to maki the camera work, but it did... so I'm laughing.. But now I'm worried that I'll screw it up by installing a v2.7 ontop.. or wiping and installing...

[ROM] Shenqi V4.1 CM7

Hey Guys,
I have worked on fixing certain issues with Shenqi V4.1,Like calendar and few other. I think its a very stable ROM, have been using it for over 3 weeks. I would like to post it for you. I am no developer/Hack expert, just a curious noob. I fixed very few issues and the ROM is pretty good. Thanks a lot for Shenqi to the original developer Yicong Huang and also mchlbenner for constantly trying to provide us with the best.
Features
1)Camera and Video (native)
2)Sensors and compass
3) FM
5) Everything that the phone supports.
Drawbacks
1)Lacks proper memory management (only when you open too many apps), could be over clocked to 1Ghz though for better performance.
2)No keyboard included. Please keep a keyboard app handy.
3)No link2sd
Instructions:
1) Create a folder called nandroid on SD-card and put it inside. If you already do just copy the downloaded files inside.
2) 3 Wipes before and after.

Thanks for this ROM, this looks really complete with everything native and working. Link2SD gave me some problems with apps disappearing so i uninstalled it. If you are on XT720-2.1mod.SBF you have to apply CM7 sensor fix for correct orientation.
Yes, I've experienced the same problem with link2sd, please try over clocking to 1Ghz. This ROM is really fast then.

What is a Good Rom for this phone.

What is a good rom to run on this phone? I have tried a few and can't seem to find anything that works with out issue. I tried the latest SlimRom which I liked but It doesn't allow me root access. So apps like titanium backup don't work I've tried I think its OEO or something of that nature and it was ok and I don't care for CM11.
I am using the stock rom that came with the phone I think that is ICS

I have never found a more functional rom than mhous33 dst stock or the avistralia deodexed mod.
All the cm, pacman, aokp...... never work FOR ME in all the capacities of stock.
About TiBu, I have always found issues with it.
I use recovery advanced restore to move apps.
You can move your stock data to both the dst & avistralia roms.

They do have use to you because you would find the info you're looking for, if you take the time to read them.
I tried out SlimKat and it seemed ok but i really don't like how little they made the fonts and the screens in it. Some of us older people need bigger. I also had to flash the SU binary update as its not added to it. I tried out the beta 2 edition. After my data resets I plan on trying the DST one that was also suggested. Sometimes not having home internet sucks.
