Speedtest Video of At&t Atrix 4g Gingerbread 2.3.4 3G Working - Atrix 4G General

Speedtest of At&t Atrix 4g Gingerbread 2.3.4 3G working.
Speeds are almost the same as 4G

Cool! I can't get more than 2Mbps here (it's a network limitation, I guess... flashing radio files haven't helped much); but... with those speeds, what can you note about the battery performance? is 2.3.4. really for daily use?

I can verify near 4g speeds on 2.3.4
ping- 100ms
down- 3.58
up- 1.08
I had 4 bars when this test was run.

[Q] MMS on Froyo 2.2 && H instead of 3G

The MMS on the froyo build 2.2 build that i have Doesnt work at all. I've tried all APN's that have been given. Instead of 3G by the signal bars I get an H.
Any suggestions on fixing the MMS and the Data Connection signal from H to 3G?
Any other builds I could use that fix this?
what are you complaining about?!?! H is better than 3g its tmobiles new hspd mobile network as good as 4g...
Hah, I wasnt sure at all. Thanks Though?
yea you should want the "H" instead of the "3G" it connects to tmobiles new HSPA 4g like speeds....i ran a speedtest the download speeds arent that fast either on 3g or the H. when running android.

4G in north manhattan

Yesterday i turned on my 4G radio for the first time in a week and CHA-CHING: 4G! It hasn't worked in the past.
Now I have to see what it does to my battery life.
I can confirm north of the river at Yankee Stadium.
4G at the stadium.
The 3G was not as exciting:
Yankee Stadium - Bronx, NY
3G : 69 kbps / 177 kbps
4G : 3.2 Mbps / 1.0 Mbps

Hi all,
yeah for the past week 3G has been messed up for me i thought it was my phone but i can see that maybe sprint is testing 4G and messing around with the 3G network. i'm getting 859ms ping when doing a speed test which is really slow while i used to get 25~95ms before and like avg 1000Kbps down and 700kbps up. i hope sprint takes care of this ASAP,
I've been getting it I'm lower Manhattan for awhile and up the west side to about 40th st give or take. About 3.5mbps. In Brooklyn I got over 7 mbps.

at&t Streak - HSUPA enabled?

On the Samsung Captivate, at&t disabled HSUPA (fast upload speeds).
I was wondering if it is the same on the streak.
Can at&t streak owners please run a few speed test using the speedtest.net app from the market and report their upload speeds back?
If you are getting around 300-400Kbps, you don't have HSUPA enabled.
Thanks.
speedtest.net does not work as it requires flash and streak 1.6 rom does not have flash at least not on my att streak.
Download speedtest.net app from the market. Does not require any flash....
I believe it is. Here's my speedtest results:
Code:
1.84 Dn 0.90 Up 3G
0.60 Dn 1.69 Up 3G
1.56 Dn 1.11 Up 3G
1.17 Dn 1.11 Up 3G
0.70 Dn 1.08 Up 3G
7.27 Dn 0.70 Up WIFI
7.71 Dn 1.73 Up WIFI
AT&T Los Angeles area. Time Warner Cable for WiFi. Kind of funny that my phone's internet has faster upload than my cable service. Not funny that it's still 7x slower than my home internet. Oh, well.
Hope this helped.
Thanks!
And you have the retail locked at&t version?
For what its worth the HSPA icons shows up on my Streak when I am using here next to Ft Laderdale. I am running US Streak with 2.1 UK rom on AT&T.

I have 2.1 version and I see the H icon instead of the G ( when i had 1.6 )
I dont have speed test from 1.6 but with 2.1 and H icon my speeds are
Upload - 1545 Kbps
Download - 2072 Kbps
Much better than my iphone readings
From dell.com/streak tech spes:
Code:
Bands :
UMTS 2100 / 1900 / 850 MHz
GSM / EDGE 1900 / 1800 / 900 / 850 MHz
HSDPA / HSUPA:HSDPA 7.2 Mbps / HSUPA 5.76 Mbps
I also have recognized that the internet itself on edge or 3g is slow on the dell streak! I have a german streak with 6267 build and 1.6 android and it takes always a long time to open a web page! Is this a problem with the software or maby my hardware??? My speeds with 3g are: Download 71kbps and upload 505kbps! On the second test I had the following: D:69kbps and U: only 24kbps?!?!?!? Whats going on there??? The download speed is definitely too slow isnĀ“t it?
Dell ATT US version 6601
Rooted Flashed to UK 2.1 6649
WIFI Los Angeles CA....Dl 5013kbps UL 2338 ping 71ms...while son Playing COD2 MW online
Cell
Server Tampa FL
DL 743 kbps
uL 294 kbps
Didnt try when i first got it and was on 3G
Ran it again and got 1876 d/l and 294 u/l
Both times I run Ping is around 400, My home is nestled within canyons and often has poor reception...so far Im pretty pleased with speed
Here's what it looks like in denver.

[Q] tmobile hspa+ on x10?

Anyone on T-mobile USA with the x10 getting hspa+ speeds?
im in chicago and im getting about 1mbps
O_O last time I checked xperia x10 doesn't have support for hspa+ but I could be wrong. And I haven't actually checked yet but I seem to be having the same speed, I'll check later and post the results
I get between 4-6 depending where I am

from the SE official site, the spec. said it is UMTS/HSPA phone which is upto 7.2 Mbps (correct me if i am wrong) HSPA+ is upto 14.4 Mbps which is double....
I dont think our X10 is HSPA+ phone.
I get about 4Mbps down near millennium park with t-mobile's new rollout. Average speed is about 1.5Mbps down throughout the city.

Even if the phone does not support HSPA+, having the network upgraded greatly improves the UTMS/HSPA speeds.

This is correct. HSPA+ is just HSDPA and HSUPA, but with a faster theoretical cap.

in san francisco i get between 7-14 and late night i've gotten up to 21.

Old Phones and HSPA+

Considering HSPA+ is still only a 3g network, should phones that had 3g capability be able to take advantage of HSPA+? I mean when T-Mobile upgraded their old 3g to HSDPA/HSUPA, every phone got the boost.
And why do phones that are cable of utilizing HSPA+ need a sim card that supports HSPA+

I work Tmo Retail. All 3g Tmo phones can utilize the HSPA+ network. The difference with the newer MT4G and G2 is that they can handle higher speeds depending on your area.
For instance, the Samsung Vibrant can handle up to 7.2 mbps while the G2 can do 14.4. In Los Angeles, I get around 4-5 megs on HSPA+ so both phones would be about the same speeds. However, I've heard in other areas in the country, some people have reached 8-12 mbps with HSPA+. In that case, the higher speed capabilities would make a difference.
Hope that answers your question!

So you're saying that once the average speeds for HSPA+ are say 8mbps that my phone will be capped at 7.2 mbps, but if the average speeds are currently under 7.2 that I would be completely capable of having the same speeds as a phone equipped for HSPA+?
