Thank you to the dev's - Droid Incredible General

I just wanted to post a thread showing my gratitude to the devs that this phone and the android community in general have. I greatly appreciate the things that you talented group of people can do. I am looking into and starting to learn some of the basics on building a ROM but I am not any kind of dev.
The real talent here are the ones that have been building ROMs for us because they enjoy doing it. So to anyone that considers themself a dev... THANK YOU!

To Haykuro, Jesusfreke, DudeOfLife & other rom developers

I have a few ideas for the troubles developers are having here
1. Each rom developer should work together and have one area that only developers can give ideas and input, only select people would be allowed to post to the area but we could all view what is in the works, a semi private forum or community, this would cut down on spam and allow for uninterupted development
2. Developers shouldn't have to handle being customer care/support, they shouldn't have to deal with idiots that cannot rtfm or search, this takes time from their own ideas and development process as well as their own lives having to keep up with thousands of people.
3. In organized places like the linux kernel project developers are seperated from the community to a point to avoid such issues that turn away good developers. Basically the developers know what need to be done, its a passion of theirs and we are all lucky to take part in the experience
4. There is already communication between developers and maybe the mods could create a read only area for non-developers, and read/write for rom developers and trusted helpers
So if xda cannot create a seperate forum just for the developers to use and for people to view but not spam/other things I say the devs should just create another rom mod community
Thanks,

The xda forum has been here for very long time. And that proves there's nothing wrong with the working model we're having here right now. Otherwise you wouldn't see an active forum like this, amirite?
Part of the problem here is that evryone in the community who has an interest in modding KNOWS that this is the place all the modders go. I agree if we created a tech support forum (or a sepperate website) with threads that can only be started by privilaged users then the madness would be contained within a logical structure.
I agree with this completely! This will force those that don't research (search and read appropriate topic) into doing some studying! We need to resolve this issue ASAP before we lose more of our top devs! I appreciate their hard work and the countless hours of effort they put in! I've read some of these long threads and they just keep getting longer by posters that ask a question that was answered at or near the beginning of the topics! Pretty ridiculous? I call it laziness!
I think this is a great idea. And also maybe an irc for devs and trusted helpers.

Thankyou to all the developers

I know other people have said this before but recently there has been a lot of misuse of dev threads and some annoyed developers and mods.
So I just wanted to thank these guys for doing what they do and spending the time they do making our phones great.
To all of us that aren't developers or are budding developers, be PATIENT and read the threads before you ask a question and post in the correct thread.
THANKS again to all the developers

Gratitude

Hi, most of your probably don't know me as I am a no one in this forum. I'm just a newbie, who benefits so much from the works created in here by great developers in this forum. So, the main purpose of this thread is to thank all the developers, themers, creators, whatever, for their brilliant work on the SP. I'm quite surprised that there is enough (if not many) ROMs developed to choose from which greatly enhances our device despite its not-so-flagship specs. This is a shoutout to you all, thank you
PS. delete if inappropriate, I'm not even sure if this is the correct section for this drama. LOL

Thank you bhb27 - special post

Its a thank you post dedicated to our beloved dev.
Hi everyone, I am making a seperate thread to thank the genius mind who is the only one keeping quark and this forum alive. Thank you bhb27 :') from the bottom of my heart. God has created a selfless soul. A big fan and an inspired student. People reading the thread please thank bhb27 as much as you can to make him realise his value and contribution. @ChazzMatt - you are another good moderator who has helped in keeping the forum as good as it looks today. I can never be out of words for the things you people are doing for the forum but I would keep it short for people to read easy.
People if you can please donate to legendary devs like @fgl27. Keep supporting him guys :good:
