Hi i bought a QTEK 9100 i got it today it has been unlocked from 02 and i am on orange network i can make calls and use the internet but can not send a txt message or recive any! if i try to get to the phone setting i keep getting try again in 15 seconds and its really annoying!
I have wanted this phone for years and now i have it its not working iv beein searching this fourm and non of the links seem to be getting me anywhere can some one help i just want to use my new phone

Hello all that read this. I was so looking forward to receiving my XDAII which i'd bought unsimmed, it was going to change the way i communicated for ever. It arrived on time and it unlocked very easily and i placed my Vodafone sim into it. That was where the problems started, firstly Voda & O2 didn't really want to know that i couldn't connect the GPRS but after a look at this forum i did infact sort that out. I then attempted to sort out the MMS part without any luck what so ever. The thing connects to the server but tries to send but then just leaves the message in drafts. Then when i started to receive sms messages i could not reply to them in the same menu, i had to go to the phone menu and reply to the sms from there, how stupid is that! I am so gutted that having spent many hours, lots of money (don't tell the gf) that i am left with what appears to be a piece of rubbish which cost £500.

No problem replying to a SMS.
Just keep the stylus on the SMS in the list you want to reply to and choose "Reply".
Or if the SMS is open, just choose in the bottom the letter with the green arrow...

Calm down ! Remember, you are trying to use an XDA II on a network for which Vodafone won't currently offer support. However, it should be entirely possible to get it to work with a bit of patience. I recently started using my O2 XDA II on Orange and it took me a couple of days to figure out the settings needed. I can try and walk you through the process if you like. There are a couple of quirky settings required to get it to work with Orange and I wouldn't be surprised if Vodafone were them same. Leave me a PM if you are interested. Once we've sussed it out, we can then publish the results for everyone else to enjoy.
Firstly, have you managed to establish a reliable GPRS connection with Vodafone yet?

hello, I've an mda compact II, simlocked and with english rom, I try to unlock it with lockwiz, but I failed, after I try to upgrade the rom in italian rom, I try with a wizard rom because I read a topic where peope write that it's the same rom and that I can upgrade my mda with that.
So I run the upgrade and at the end the phone swiched off and now I can't swith on it!!!!!!!

wizard roms do not work on this phone, they paperweight it. you need to send the phone back to HTC or T-Mobile to get it fixed.

t-mobile will just ask you to contact them. I'm on O2 and I've got my charmer off ebay. And, later there is a problem with the speaker that requires me to send it for repair. I purposely get hold of my self a T-mobile PAYG SIM card so that I can call up t-mobile to have my charmer repair/replace. After all the fuss of getting an internet account, numbers and password pin, the give me the htceurope number. Sigh.
Anyway, try their web page case report thing. the last time I tried it, it doesn't work so I have to call them instead. And, calling them seems to be problematic too, as there aren't usually people around getting the calls. try calling them early 10-12 in the morning (not around 900), and leave a message on their answering machine. They will respond to you the next day. The experience with then aren't that bad. So, good luck

This happens to me after switching the telefon mode from off to on. the phone itself needs some time until its "ready for use".
Another possible issue is one using a 3G sim card in a 2G phone. has happened to me with a prophet. Changed to an old sim card and it worked perfectly. Try changing the sim card to a known 2G and see what happens.
Just switched off the phone in the comm manager (it is an option available to facilitate the PDA usage during the flight journey).
Now my phone is fine and working.

Phone not ready
Hi all......
Im a first time poster.....
I have an Imate Jasjam.....
I recently upgraded the ROM and ever since, i keep getting the phone not ready and no matter what i have read in these posts i cant get it to work.....
I have even gone as far as starting over from the original ROM and now the original ROM shows the same problem.
Its really annoying not beingn able to reply to msgs im getting and even worse, not being able to modify the setting in my phone to disable call forwarding to my voicemail.
I have the FCW Home HD ROM installed and have tried upgrading the radio, but fail everytime.... im guessin im using th ewrong one so if anyone knows an up to date radio i can install it would be good....

I think you are posting in the ROM forum. Are you sure you have a Charmer cause I don't know the ROM you tell us.
i have an O2 xda mini s
i have an orange contract and want to use the phone on orange
i can put the simcard in to the phone and it will take and recive phone calls fine
problem is
i cant recive or send text messages
i try to send a text message and it comes up with "your text message has not been sent as your sim is not valid"
this is driveing me potty!!!
i have tried flashing it cant upgrade to the crossbow rom it fails for some reason.
i tried the unlocking tool from loki and it seems not to be locked hence i can make and recive calls on it.
it also wont let me pick up the network settings ?? just comes up "the phone is not ready wait 15 sec and try again" waited a few hours and constantly tried it no diffrence
please anyone who can help i would be extreemly greatefull!!!

I too have the same problem, Mine used to be on 02 and my company changed there network to Orange, now my phone was locked to 02, so had to unlock it, since then i'm unable to get to any of the phone settings as in the above post, I'm sure there is a way round this but have been unable to find anything yet.
I also had another issue whereby it would not Sync with our exchange server over GPRS, this has now been resolved since updating the rom to WM6, but the phone settings issue remains.
I've tried a hard reset with no luck.
If anyone knows why this happends and can shed some light as to a solution, i'll come to your house and make you cups of tea fora while week !

Hi, can any1 help? I had my xda for ages but now I come to use it,it cant make or receive calls! It all worked fine when I put it away a year ago and now its stoped. SMS txts works fine I have flashed it but still no go! Please help

Yes mate its a voda sim and now the firmware is voda, I have tried others like Qtek, O2 but no look. I`m wondering about changing the eimi number, but even that not so easy the rom wont let me, its says its done but its not! any ideas? Please
Voice not working
Hi all still not got anywere with my xdaII no matter what i try still only get txt messages and cant dial in or out. The sim is UK voda. I check to see if they blocked my imei number and its not black listed. Please anyone HELP!!!!!!!!!
