Anyone wanting an Evo 3d for $25 tomorrow please let me know. If you have a business and want to port your number to sprint I can get you an evo 3d for $25. If you have a personal account I can get you one for $75 if you port your number to sprint. PM short details. I work for corporate btw, not one of these third party companies or some radio shack.

Are you only selling one or more than one?

No I have plenty. I work in a sales department within Sprint. Also, I have replied to everyone's pm's and I understand the "what's the catch?" messages but there are no catches. As long as you add a new line with me and port your number to Sprint the price comes to what I posted lol. I can also get you some great deals on other phones as well if you want to add something other than the 3D.
Thanks,
Brandon

What about upgrade?

Can't do anything on an upgrade unless you are a business sorry .

so is this including the $125 port credit?
so a $200 phone - $125 credit = $75 or $25 business
or is this actually only paying $25 to you?
please let me know ASAP! i am about to head to my local sprint store to get my preorder for my business phone

Correct. If you are a business though and want to do it I will also throw in a free accessory (car charger, case or bluetooth).

I PM'd you my number. Give me a call before you go into the store. I'll definately make sure you are taken care of.

OK so let me get this straight.
I have a business and I have my upgrade eligibility (upgrade price on the 3d is 200 bucks)
I can go into the Sprint store today, tell them I want the 3d, put you on the phone with them and then I get the 3d for 25 bucks?
This sounds great and all, but I'm just curious, what kind of pull do you have to pull this off? Basically I don't want to go in there looking like an idiot you know "let me call a guy" kind of thing.
EDIT: and how would the free accessory thing work?

No. The price is after port-in credits and such. I may be able to get it to you for $125 but it would take a couple days to ship it. What I offer can't be offered in a store.

Hmm......what is that I smell? Tilapia, Cod, Salmon, maybe even a hint of Tuna. Not sure, but something sure smells fishy. Kind of like out of town construction outfits after a hurricane, something just isn't right. Just saying...........

Well I am a big fan of all of those fish however, the only thing fishy about any of this is the can of tuna on my desk that's for lunch. I work in a business sales office within Sprint. I deal mostly with businesses but I can add lines to personal accounts and start personal accounts. I can understand that this may sound fishy but I work in a very small department withing sprint. I have a Sprint email and a Sprint 800 number. Because my department is small I can offer things that retail absolutely can not. I know because I worked in Sprint retail for years before I worked in this department. I've been a member of XDA for quite a while and I promise you (as much as I can Internet promise lol) that nothing fishy is going on. Also, after all of your fish comments I am really craving some salmon.

Sent you a pm

He's legit, I just talked to him.
Although I'm not going through him to get the 3D, turns out I already had a rep that could do this for me (doh!) so I'm calling her to see what she can do for me.

For what he paid he definitely overpaid. Retail is $450, so he paid $225 to get it less than two weeks early. He could have gotten the hotspot for more than 7 months for the same amount, or put that towards two years of the extra $10/mo. Either way, he better be totally happy with his purchase.
I get mine this Friday. I see you have that Google I/O informational form in your pic. Is that included in the phone's packaging?
The reason i ask is because I asked my seller about that form and he said that he didn't have it. he said that it might be packaged with the phone itself. He never opened the phone's packaging. So I told him that I'd just find out when i receive it.

Well it depends on where he would have gotten the phone from. Sprint $450..you can say he probably overpaid, $500 RS....you can say he overpaid, BB...I don't think he overpaid. i think its a great deal if you think about it.
Free everything for a month, no contract....etc.
And plus I'm sure there will be big shortage of these phones when they release. I stopped at the bestbuy by my house earlier today and the Rep there told me that this is the biggest preorder they ever had. I'm not sure if he was just talking about this particular store or Bestbuy in general. Just like the Incredible and the iPad this will be backordered. And if you think paying $670 is too much ....wait until June 4th
I think if you really want the phone, you saved up for the phone or whatever if you got the money then go ahead and get it. Because getting one on the 4th is not guaranteed.
Not to reign on some peoples parades of cost, but depending on the store, they may not sell you a phone off contract. I Lou of holding out for new customers and upgrades. Happened to me when I wanted a pre had to hold out a month for when online orders came around

Got my Sprint rebate today...pleasantly surprised!

So I'm pretty sure Sprint owed me a $100 rebate...I bought my Evo for $300 plus tax ($45), and Sprint granted me a $70 renewal credit for reupping my previous SERO line for another 2 years (afterwards I switched plans when I bought the Evo).
So I get my rebate check in the mail today, and instead of the $100 my check was for $250!
I remember reading that Sprint has done this before, sent people $250 instead of the $100, but I sure as hell am not complaining. My net payment for the phone is $25!
Dang, my rebate came today also, but it was only $100.
bought my phone the day of the release but barely sent me rebate in last week.. damn i should have just took care of it that same day.. guess ill continue to wait
OP, when did you send in your rebate papers?
I got my phone the 30th of June, I think I sent my rebate in around a week or so later.
So you're going to notify them that they overpaid or at least find out what happened, right? Or are you just going to stick it to them because they're a big corporation?

It's one thing to commit some kind of fraud but keeping money they send you is not sticking it to them, it's letting them stick it to themselves..

So you are thief. Good to know. It doesn't matter if it was your Mom or Sprint. Wrong is wrong.
I have no qualms taking the money. The alternative? Talking to customer service for hours, potentially waiting weeks for another rebate...
This is not the first I've heard of sprint doing this, even my friend received two rebates for the same submission before. Either they're not paid enough to do their jobs right, or they're downright incompetent. To be honest, sprints random incompetence in this case and their ability to still provide great service despite this keeps me as a customer, believer it or not.
When I first signed up for sprint I was supposed to get $100 in referrals...i didn't get them but enjoyed my service from sprint anyways...and still referred people.
The mistake is not my fault, I don't know anyone who would take the headache if trying to correct it over cashing the check
Last year when I was working for sprint I upgraded my phone to the blackberry tour and sent in my rebate. I paid 300 for the device and renewed my contract. I got my rebate a month later and it was for 300 dollars. I got my phone for free and my coworker who did the same upgrade got his rebate for 100.
I checked with someone at sprint since I worked there and they told me to keep it. So right now I'm waiting for my next rebate right now and I am interested to see if I get another cool MIR. The last one helped me buy my laptop and if the do it again the next one will help me pay for my wedding.

Ha, it's actually funny you call me a thief for this.
I called Sprint yesterday to report a gameloft game that was mistakenly charged to my account 6 times, instead of once. The charge looked like a single $29.94 charge and I told them $4.99 of it was legit but they took the whole $30 off anyways.. Then they offered me a $70 rebate to reset my contract to begin yesterday, and I was VERY clear about maintaining my Dec first upgrade
THEN they ship a free airrave for a line on my account thats used in a rural area, and waive the mir for it AND removed the spending limit on my account..
Despite all that: Yes, I would let Sprint mistakenly send me money and keep it, especially when (as nhutpham mentioned) the alternative is likely spending another hour or two of my life on the phone with Sprint's courteous but incompetent CS.

I got my rebate last week from Sprint for $100. A few days before that, I got my $100 Visa Gift card from Bluefish (corporate discount package deal). So my total true cost for the EVO was only $99. Well worth it!

are you kidding me? you knew full well that the evo would cost an extra $10/month compared to other smart phone plans and you bought it anyway.
you can't possibly compare the $10 fee and keeping money that is not yours.

Looks like Costco will be selling the Xoom on Feb 24th and a little plus is that it will have a $35 mail in rebate to take care of the stupid 1 month data requirement...
Looks like I will be going to Costco on the 24th.. Great thing is Costco has a great return policy (90 days) so if price drops within that time period its definitely going back for price adjustment or just return and re buy...
Wow, I'll bet BestBuy will match the activation fee now. Let the price wars begin!
With the activation fee waved, the first month of service is manageable. Or perhaps it can be canceled within 3 days as others have speculated for a refund.

Doubtful as Best Buy cannot do anything with your bill. They might be willing to take 35 dollars off the price of the thing, but very doubtful
Is this true? If so I just jizzed in my pants. My family calls me a Costco Evangelist. I was all worried that I would have to return this tablet every 14 days at Best Buy until a wifi-only version came out.
With Costco I might keep it, or just return it once when the wifi-only version comes out. Costco is awesome, beyond their EPIC return window, they also have an almost unlimited return policy for things that stop working. I have returned things 12 months later with no problem.
Were you seriously going to return and repurchase a xoom every 14 days just so you can say you have the thing first?
I'm not sure that that's something you should openly admit to, just seems sad.

Sad, nah. Exploitive, yes. The problem is that I want a wifi-only version, but I need a tablet now. I have been needing one for a few months now, but was unhappy with all the options available. If they would do the wise thing and release the wifi-only version first or simultaneously, I wouldn't have to play games. Or if they didnt mark it up 250$

Heh, good point, my bad =)
Take this with a grain of salt but I spoke with one of the phone guys at costco on the 15th and he said they expected to have it for about $100 less than best buy and verizon just like they currently do on the galaxy tab. I tend to believe that considering marking a $500 item down to $400 is a lot bigger of a cut than knocking an $800 item down to $700 is.
I talked to my buddy at the costco (yea i work there myself). The email said they will get the live demo starting on the 22nd. It also said starting the 24th they would get the actually product. It didn't say the price though. You WILL be required to get a month of service. The rumor is about $100 less just like the samsung tab. If i get anymore info, i'll keep this updated. I'm also waiting to get it myself.
Now how about the Wifi version $100 less at $500!!! Oh, what joy that would bring!
I really want this soon, price is my only concern. They better announce the Wifi version next week and say it's coming in no more than 1-2 weeks, I've waited far too long...I can't stand it...

win! LOL i only paid 299 and it was full retail! someone should inform him!!
I'm not surprised. Seen listings for phones worth <$300 mint going for $70-$150 with screens so fouled up, you would think they got married and tied it on the back of the car like it was a tin can. Being that big a device, I'd believe someone trying to sell a TF101 it for parts at $400.

It's not someone TRYING to sell at that price. That's the price it's at after 60 bids.
I think we can chalk that up as a win for the seller.

Is not so funny for me. Did you ever check prices in Europe? I bought my TF for 700$ before 6 months now is around 600$. Ok the price for as-is for US is high but as you can see shipping is worldwide

It may not be that, either. I tried selling several of my used phones (including an iPhone 4) over the past year or so. Every time I tried to post a decently priced (~$150-200 USD for a phone that was selling for $300 used typically) some random 'new' account would either buy the phone out or balloon the bid up to some ungodly amount. Sure enough, payment would never be received, eBay would insist I give them their cut (even though they could clearly see I had never been paid, through PayPal or any other means), and my phones never sold. After 10 months of fighting this nonsense, and eBay still insisting I owed them seller fees for successfully sold items, I gave up completely on that rotten site. It's chock full of nonsense these days.

Ain't that the truth. I put a CULV machine up for sale at what I thought was a reasonable $50 starting bid. Within an hour I got an email from someone who told me (not asked, mind you) to close the listing, ship him the laptop and he would send me the $50. I declined, and he sent me another email telling me my laptop would never sell on eBay.
Shortly after that, two new accounts started a bidding war and took the price up to $1000. The price sat there until the auction ended 6 days later. Of course, no sale. I tried to work with eBay, but all they agreed to was not charging me to relist the laptop. They also claimed to close the two accounts, but a month after this you could still find the accounts on the site.
Moral: eBay has become a sales sewer. Thugs are running the place, and for every interesting and reasonably priced product you can find, there are 500 crap knockoffs waiting to take your money.

It's not someone TRYING to sell at that price. That's the price it's at after 60 bids.
I think we can chalk that up as a win for the seller.

Forgive me for being a dumbass, but what do you guys think these "new" accounts' intentions are for pushing prices way up and then not paying?

Force people to look elsewhere to buy the same item for less. For example, to their auctions.

Or as retaliation. That emailer was right-- the laptop didn't sell.
Flip side, some could do it if their auction isn't making what they'd like it to make.

Deposit?

My cousin is on my plan and I'm taking her off. She owes Sprint from her past account. Thing is, these goobers won't tell her how much the deposit will be if she starts her account again.
Does anyone know an estimate on what the deposit will be? I think she owes around $300 on the old account.

Well, it depends. They will want full payment on any past due amount, then the deposit amount will depend upon her credit. It could be as low as $200 and I've heard of them asking for $500. That was as of a couple years ago, so it might have changed since then.

Also, I should mention that they may outright refuse service in some cases.
The only way to know for sure is to call.

She did call them though. They wouldn't tell her how much the deposit would be after she paid the bill. Something about it's a policy, that way if people consider the deposit to be too much they don't just skip out on paying the bill. Stupid Sprint.

wait, that's stupid? sounds like it makes sense... get the money they're owed first, then worry about a new contract after.
Pay the past due. Then try and get her own line. If the deposit is to high, try another carrier.

It's stupid in this case since that's what's stopping her from paying the bill now. She needs to know how much the deposit is that way she knows if she can stay with Sprint ahead of time or just activate with a new carrier. She'll need to deposit money and new phone money. The former needs clarification because it may cut into the new phone money.
I'm sure if someone owed you money, you would want that money first before you do any other business with them. I'll give you some great advice to pass along. Tell her to pay off her **** if she wants sprint. No other way. If not, tell her to go to another carrier. What ever happened to common knowledge?

My woman had a past due bill, but they sent it to collections and like 2 years later she went to Sprint and they didn't want any deposit. I never had Sprint and they wanted $175.00 deposit. I guess it all varies. Hope this helps.

Um, you're not understanding. She's paying off the bill this week, regardless. She would like to know the deposit amount before hand so she can gauge what phone she can get. She doesn't want to be hit with a $500 deposit and be stuck without a phone. I'll tell her to look for another carrier.

A useful post! I wonder if it has to do with credit? If so, my cousin's screwed.

It depends on her credit and what's on it. They don't just go off score either. They will let a 560 through fine as long as there is no Charge Offs. Even a 700 could snag a deposit. Because she has a bad account, expect a least $200. If she has charge offs, Up to $500. The other carriers are no better and even worst. ATT will want a $500 non refundable deposit.

And that's exactly why their policy is designed to not tell people that information.

I guess you didn't read the post where I said she's paying the bill regardless on Friday. So yes, in this case, the policy is stupid.
But let's say I was a customer and was *thinking* about paying my past due bill. I call to find out my deposit for a new account. My deposit will be nothing, but the Sprint rep doesn't tell me this. Instead of paying the bill, I decide to do as I've been doing and not pay since I don't know if my deposit will be $1 or $999,999,999. Sprint missed out on money they would have got, so either way, the policy didn't achieve their desired results.

AT&T, non-refundable?
I'm not too sure of her charge offs, but I'll tell her to put $200 aside just in case.

That scenario is flawed in the fact of you won't have a $0.00 security deposit if you currently owe a past due , if said past due has gone to collections. That goes on your credit and that's the big thing companies look for when running credit for cell phone approval.
Now if the past due is just past due. Then its possible not likely but possible.
Now either you/she is trying to find a loophole to jump through their policy. Weather that policy is dumb or not, its there for a reason.

I guess you haven't read the thread. TONYSALEM clearly said his girl had an account that went to collections, she paid it, started a new account and didn't have to make a deposit. So how do you know that she won't have a "$0.00" security deposit? Your post is flawed.
And I'm trying to find a loophole because I'm curious as to what the deposit might be? Considering I'm already on Sprint and don't plan on leaving anytime soon, that statement's even more stupid than said policy.
