GPS lag

Does anyone here found a solution/fix to GPS lag in HTC Touch HD?
If you did, would you mind sharing on how you did it?
If you use GPS Mod Setup, what settings do you use? I tried but didnt notice any difference. I'm using Garmin Mobile XT.

Hi Mastoid,
Quick GPS does not assists with lag. It only assists with getting the GPS signal quicker to your phone. GPS lag has been around since the beginning and I'm not sure when it will ever be fixed on these phones. Hopefully the Leo can shed some light as I think it is primarily a hardware issue. However I am praying and hoping that it can be fixed via software drivers....

Yeah... i was a little unsure as to whether this would have made a difference as its a lag associated problem. Thanks for that information band 27 - what you mentioned clarifies my thoughts - I now remember the release notes for HTC's most current ROM update via their website, it stated somewhere that there was a fix for the GPS lag issue... I guess is still exists then which is unfortunate
Best Regards.
I have a lag also.
Additional there are often some deviations in data.
I had Eten X500+ (SirfStarIII build in) and there was no such behaviour.
Looks like Qualcom GPS is simply worse
anybody here have tried updating their rom with official HTC Touch HD ROM Upgrade (EU)?
It does mention "The GPS position updating speed has been enhanced".
I would like to know the result.
I previously owned a Mitac Mio A700. It has built in SirfStarIII as well.
Yes. I noticed it performs much better than my current HTC Touch HD.

those fixed the lag for me using iGO 8

[Q] Bluetooth keyboard problems

I bought the Mini Bluetooth Keyboard direct from Chinavision. It works OK in WInMo, but nothing will make it work in Android. I would post the link, but posting rules don't allow it.
Has anyone else bought a similar keyboard (I believe they sell a similar one on Amazon) and got it to work? If so, how?
I can pair it OK, but nothing will make it work. I tried the supplied Android driver, but that won't install properly. I tried the various BlueInput apps, but none will connect at all.
Chinavision themselves are not at all co-operative, so I thought I'd ask here.
Thanks in advance,

Just ordered something simular on ebay and waiting for delivery.
I noticed it said that it wouldn't work in Android v2.2 so I guess it will be a bit of a challenge to get it working.
I tried again today. I installed BlueInput v1.8 and had some results, but nothing useful. A click sound comes from the HD2 every time a key is pressed, as per the settings, but no text.
So, something is happening ...
I'm running darkstone SuperRAM Froyo 1.5 on SD.

zte libra - camera not working - HELP

hi, i recently bought a zte libra which should hardware wise be identical to the blade... so i installed gfs26 on it... the rom i s indeed working nicely, gps, bluetooth, sound, display, wifi... EVERYTHING is working great, EXCEPT: the camera seems like theres a different camera built in? is some1 able to help me getting this camera to work under a 2.3 rom? the libra came with 2.2 ... sadly i got no nand backup of it... neither can i find a stock 2.2 rom for the libra... i guess i would need the camera libs, right? or do i need it built in the kernel? i'd really appreciate it if some1 would be truly willing to help me getting this camera to work in a 2.3 rom... just give me orders what to do...

[Q] [(AOSP ICS ROM for HD2) NexusHD2-IceCreamSandwich Beta10] Bluetooth fix

Hi out there.
I have to post that here...
Is there something like the "kernel_magldr_1.8.5_nobtfix_2wcr" bluetooth fix for the new ICS kernels??
I like the new ICS on the old HD2 very much. Good experience so far. But I would like to use it in my car with bluetooth rSAP car installation. The older "NDT_Pyramid_Sense_3.0_MAGLDR_V9.0" with the bt fix worked well.
Greetings from Germany
Wolfgang
any ideas??? oh please.
ICS is so great nearly everything (except BT) is working, even camera and barcode .

Problem with GPS HTC HD MINI

Hello everybody, i am french and i think my English is quite bad but .....
I have a HTC HD MINI
I have tried to install cyanogene android but after i reinstall windows mobile 6.5, GPS dont fix anything. I have tried a lot of things, like hard reset, modifications of parameters (COM 0.....7 anf 4800 ....57600....) but nothing. TOMTOM 7 told me 'are u in a batilment.?".
I am so disappointed !!!!!
Do u have any suggestion??
Thanks
You have to install Android again, go to options, activate the GPS and then install Windows again.
Did you Download (upgrade) satellites position in windows mobile??!!
Every 7 days you should do this for better calibration!!
GPS Problem
Hi friends.
My friend has a HD mini (he bought it in 14 days before) and he has a same problem with gps.
the device is old (used- second hand) (sry for bad english). and when bought it, rapidly he installed nand!!!
now, he came back too windows and he sees the GPS nothing work. he didn't test it before installing nand.
I did every thing what I knew about GPS problems may appear after coming back to windows. (like, turn on GPS options in android and come back to win) but its GPS don't work.
Has been GPS corrupted?

Hi Morty.
If I understand correctly ....
I do not think GPS is Dead. Only believe, is blocked. I noticed that there are some releases Android ROMs, which block the GPS.
Some evidence of mini hd and hd2 I have demonstrated this.
The only advice I can give you (what I have written in other threads) is to go back to WM6.5. From here to try some release Android sd (I forget which I used on hd mini) obviously do not install the one you have already tried. I hope I was clear and helpful.
Best regards.

Hi, especial thanks to M O R T Y , this post is about me, I want to add these two point: first that I used the exactly version which the former owner used before (Update cm 7.2.0 RC0 photonic KANG signed) and second that in W.M 6.5 the icon that shows GPS is activated , is shown while my device not only isn't able to orientate me but it can't download updates correctly as well, it starts downloading till download bar becomes 100% and then this message appears :
<<Data Activitation failed
Location setting must be on so that downloading satellites can be used to speed up GPS startup time >>
of course now I am using SAVVAS.
sorry for my poor English.
thanks a lot
mine not working either
I flashed HD Mini to CM2.7, GPS and Wi-Fi are not working. It seems to be that the driver can't be loaded correctly.
1. reinstall CM and go to settings > location, and check "use GPS satellites" and turn off phone
2. restart in bootloader volume down + power and reinstall WM
Starting Android from SD Card and turning on GPS there should work too. So you dont need to flash it again.
