It seems to crash on me when view my profile pics? But if I view someone else's it seems to work fine other wise.
Love the Layout, has a good feel to it.

I found a GREAT Twitter App for our Tablets

I am using PLUME and love it. It has a multi column view and works great on Honeycomb
Its awesome!!
Nice!
Really nice app!!!
I'm really loving it! just deleted Twitter's app haha.
Do you know any other app that works as good as this one but for Facebook? I hate Facebook's official app which is not optimized for tablets, and I don't think it'll be as they are not making an ap for iPad neither.
Thank you!!!
I'm using Friendcaster, formerly Flow for Facebook. It seems to work well.
Yeah, friendcaster is very good app...the official app i don't use so often

agree, very nice facebook app and also plume
I have been using the plume beta for twitter and it is the best twitter app for honeycomb. The only issue I have with it is that when I get a notification the pop up is all black and I cannot see whatever message the notification is trying to show me. But once you click the notification it launches plume so not a big deal.
I don't twitter that much, can someone tell me what the advantages are to an app rather than just use the browser?
Tweetcomb is now free and it's gorgeous.

Tweetdeck, the only one I like.
I think I'll give Plume a try and see if I like it...

Agree, i can use facebook at once.
Plume worked pretty well for me yesterday while watching Indy 500 qualifying. I didn't particularly like having to constantly hit refresh to see new info though. Seemed as though even when I did, it wouldn't always refresh like it should and I'd have to either kill it or switch to my home screen then back and it would refresh.. Might try something else to see if I like something else better. I can always reinstall again later.

There's an option in which you can change the notification text color. Just go into the app's settings then click Customize and scroll through all the options and you'll see it
For android plume is best ec tweetdeck user

Yea, I'm still stuck on Tweetdeck!
think plume is the better option...awesome UI, and you can always work on landscape mode. tweetdeck takes you back and forth

Oh what an app! Superb....am short of words. Faster than native browser.I pushed the thanks button...hope I could do it 100 times for u.
I've been using it for a while now and I am very happy with it; it has also become my default browser; download the ReadItLater add on and you're set

Graphics and UI look great, photos are not. Do you experience the same?

Icons, games, graphics, and UI look gorgeous. On the other hand, normal photography that appear just normal on my laptop, appears on my Galaxy Tab not as clear and the quality sucks. Anyone experiencing the same? I have Honeycomb 3.1 -3.2 is not yet available for my region. Thanks in advance!

In my case, graphics are awesome. In fact photos on my tab look better than their copies on the desktop.
The only thing, if you choose to set a small image as your wallpaper or lock screen, it does not look as neat. You need to use either the default ones, or some high resolution photos.
It does not look nice while browsing or on background apps. The pics that's preloaded on the Tab looks great but others are not. Weird!

Some help filling up the Nexus screens?

Hi guys,
First, I'm a developer who spends a lot of time with his nose into terminal windows and editors... so please forgive me if I'm used to the "boring" stuff. I was wondering if you could give me some suggestions what widgets should I use to fill few of the tablet screens. So far, the main apps I use on the tablet are the Terminal (go figure) to manage my Linux boxes and my 3 Google Apps accounts (drive, mail, etc.)
I looked on the internet at those "popular widgets" postings and they all show crappy stuff like Google Play, Beautiful Widgets, Facebook etc. With no disrespect, they are useless to me. I'm looking more into "geek" factor, like some nice tablet memory/kernel stats and other cool widgets I could make use of. I know is hard what I ask but I'm looking for input from tech people who use the tablet to manage mostly Linux related stuff, not just the Google Play library.
It sucks to have all those screens empty, thank you for your help.
Floren
You could actually design a fancy-nothing widget by yourself that could show random stuff, like stats, load, cool pictures, links to websites, etc, periodically. Resizable, and repicable. That would be nice.

I don't write Android apps. I did wrote from scratch the XDA search you use it every day and helped the guys to optimize their servers, so you can post your content easier. Thanks for the nice insults.
Yea wth?
Anyway. I suggest Android Pro Widgets. Its free but I recommend buying it for themeing ablilities. They are scrollable Widgets for Facebook, twitter, calendar, favorites, etc. I have a page dedicated to these alone. I like my main homescreen very minimalistic.
Outside of that I use some sort of weather widget. I don't listen to music often and my status bar has toggles. Not sure what else you would need.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
Could try minimalistic text and create your own text widgets showing stats of the tablet.
Does anyone got any good music widgets?
Battery Monitor Widget Pro and System Tuner Pro have some decent geeky widgets. Not great though. I'd like to find some more too.

Don't worry about responses like that one. They are a dime a dozen and provide nothing to these forums/communities. Best to ignore nay sayers...
Some suggestions for widgets would definitely be a weather widget, gmail/email widget, play music widget. Just to name a few a lot of it is personal preference from what I see...

Has anyone tried elixr2? Has quite a few widgets like the OP asked for.

You beat me too it. Elixr2 is good. I used to use it on my gtablet while testing roms. It was really helpful
I'm sorry if you understood my comment as an insult. I was actually giving a nice idea. I have developed some apps for diferrent purposes, and I found your post interesting - some widgets to beautify your screens. I could simply not mention any idea, but you know, I like brainstorming.

I made a widget once for a friend that showed either his stats or his teams stats from World Community Grid, but it only seems to work on 2.1 and I'm not a Dev....no idea how to fix it. LOL

I strongly recommend Elixir Widgets 2. Highly customizable, lots of options (more than any other), sips battery and CPU.
Here is my main 'reporting' page.
Also I reduced to 3 home screens... psychological reduction in empty space.

Multiview in N4

My frind have sgs3 and he have multiview
The N4 have the same? and how can we do that ?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
That's a Samsung Touchwiz feature, not on the N4 until the rom is ported
I am hoping someone can find a way to make it work without the need to port touch wiz, seeing as most people buy the N4 because it'd plain vanilla android
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
As my girlfriend has a sgs3, I know the feature, but I wonder whats good for? I cant' imagin to use it in any usefull way?!

I had the note 2 and never really used it but only to show off. It is an amazing feature though and I'm sure lots of people use it.

I hope its gets ported as well I miss showing that off with my Note 2 lol...its a very good feature if you wanna text and do something else at the same time....if that comes to the N4 that would only make this device that much more greater...
I will like to do this in my N4 too. It would be cool to do two things at once. Hey btw didn't the video ad of the LG Optimus G showed the person watching the a video while he was sending a text?? Where is this function in my N4?

Hi,
There is not (have you read the thread? )... You can search on the Play Store there are some apps wich allow this (search for floating video, floating browser, floating sms, etc) but it's not in native on the N4... We have a pure Android device, not a Touchwiz or whatever overlay... But some apps does the job... So you'll can do something else while regarding a video for example...
Sms: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=hkdevelopers.apps.multiWindow.messenger.free
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.floating.message
Video: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=gpc.myweb.hinet.net.PopupVideo
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=hkdevelopers.apps.videoplayer
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rong.floating
Youtube: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sudsoftware.floatingyoutubepopupplayer
Browser: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=gpc.myweb.hinet.net.PopupWeb
Etc...

I thought that touchwiz allows to use multiview with every app. Compared to that, these apps are only compromises.

AFAIK this can only be achieved by modding. Otherwise its a set list of apps that can do it.
If you want a definitive answer search on the SGS3 or GN2 forums.
