[Q] I'm new and need help microsoft kin two - KIN One and Two General

Hello, I have a microsoft kin, but I do not speak English so I ask if I help with microsoft applications or jailbreaks for kin

Hi Luis. Right now, there are no jailbreaks or applications you can install on a Kin.

"No jailbreaks men"

ok, now I have another problem, what happens is that my Microsoft Kin can not watch videos on youtube, I get a message saying: This video can not play on this phone, do not know why this is the problem??

Youtube is a weird file type thats not always supported by the KIN, it has to do with shorter files and efficiency i believe.
Youtube does not always work, but most other movie websites do.
Also, Youtube ALWAYS works for me on my friends WiFi, so try in different hotspots.

SPV M600 - a few questions..

Firstly i`m loving this phone, coming from a SE T610, it`s a considerable leap forward for me !
Firstly, i have installed an app called pocket DivX, it wasnt behaving very well, so i uninstalled it in the remove programs page. I then rebooted but am still getting the what i can only describe as "dead icons" in the programs page, any way to get rid of these please ?
Also im having a few problems streaming videos from the internet, i go to a site like google video or youtube eg and it says i either dont have java enabled, or that my version is out of date, so consequently it wont show any video footage.
Also is it possible there is a codec pack for WM5 that would allow eg, QT,avi, divx, ogg, xvid and other similar file extensions?

BTEA Live For WM 2005

i have developed an app for WM2005 to listen Radio and watching TV on your pocket pc. Just you need internet.
you can download it by the attachment.
Menus are turkish but you can understand it by reading usermanual.
thanks. i will test & report.
Please thange the language. nice application
Doesn't even launch on my device... Curious why.
Now it is english. Enjoy with it...
This application is good. But instead of launching the WMP10 window, it would have been nice if it played within the native window. Otherwise, it looks like a webpage with the live streams links.
Thanks.
i have tried to do this. but i have not find any way. does one one know that how can i do this.?
What TV stations can you watch?

about see live web on my jasjam

hey!
in my country thers blog tv girls brodcast
how can i see them on my jasjam
what do i need to download???
Ok, You might need to give a bit more information.
For example, what country are you in? Which websites are you trying to view on your Jasjam? You could use IE built in but a lot of people prefer Opera. Not sure if there is a Mozilla available yet
Are you on a contract? Do you have GPRS in your area? Does your SIM/mobile account allow you access to the web?

That's all Flash Video 8. Just like Youtube and Google Video... There is currently no software to play this natively on Windows Mobile devices.
I've heard your only solution is Orb or possibly a newer Sling Media device, both of which require an always-on PC at home to act as "translator/server" for your Windows Mobile device. Since I'm a Mac user, I haven't looked into it yet. Sorry, no soup for us as they say.

MSN messenger app with frontcam as webcam ?

Dear all,
I have been wondering if there is an application with messenger, which would have hermes frontcam as a webcam. After a long search I did not manage to find any apps like this. (with this i mean an app, which is running on the WM, NOT on PC).
However I came across one opinion about the thing that it could NOT be possible, since the heavy need of processing of the cam. I started thinking is that right, how much processing speed does it need to run a webcam with like only few pictures per second and a basic chat app running on msn messenger standard.
In my unprofessional opinion that should be possible, and if it is, why isnt anyone else interested in this kind of a thing, and why its not available.
Please somebody, do that kind of an application so I wouldnt have to learn WM PPC programming just because to do that.
or alternatively, prove me wrong.

It is defenately possible. I use Web Camera plus and you phone will act as a perfect webcam. You can even choose if you want the front cam or normal cam.

Thanks for the cool info!
Unfortunately that is working as a webcam for a messenger running on a PC only.. Not for messenger application running on my Hermes itself.
Is this impossible, is this going to be my Alamo?

Ow, that i do not know. I'm not aware of an app that can do that, allthough i think it should be possible.
Maybe someone else can help you.
Im going to have to say that i doubt such a program exists or will exist.
MSN uses a lot of processing power to convert raw video into a streamed format.
Just because it is possible to do 3G video calls doesnt mean that MSN will use the same compression method.
What they'd first need to develop is voice calls through MSN. Not just voice clips.
hey, check out microsoft portrait, it has an app for both PC and PPC it is actually a development for voice/cam chat for portable devices, work on my wizard, however I don't have a hermes, so you will just need to try it and see, post back the results.

on my wizard it does have a drop down for the different cameras it detects, however the wizard only has one camera, so i believe it may bring up both cameras on the hermes

Cool stuff! Will try it out as soon as I get a internet connection.. Just now Im located in Netherlands (against my will ) without internet subscription and with horrible dutch 3g data transfer pricing.
Reporting back from Finland! The land of the thousands lakes and stuff..
---
sry for that.. just noticed that the file is actually under 1 meg.. so even I can afford that with stupid dutch pricing..
I tried to install it but i couldn't
I've got the last windows installer but the msi gives me a error message every time (i'm running a windows xp professional sp2)

I will try that out later tonight. Which version of WM are you running? 5 or 6? and which version of the phone you have? ..or maybe you ment that its not installing on your computer..
I mean that is not installing on my computer, if I transfer the file to my hermes, it doesn't work either.
Does it work for you ?
I'm on WM6 (Schaps version 3.54c)

Windows 7 and WM

Hello
I would like to stream music from my Win 7 pc to my Blackstone connected thru wifi to the same network.
The thing is i cant get my computer to 'find' my phone.
In the help section they talk about something called WPS.
I searched a bit and couldnt find anything really helpful.
if anyone can help
Thanks in advanced.
Jay
I dont know about streaming (im assuming you are trying to use WMP), however, you could accomplish this by using the Network Plugin:
http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-network-folder-plugin-v1-0.html
Then play them direct from the network, it works well for me.
streaming means connecting to a service and getting the music as it plays
lots of people confuse it with just having access to a shared dir on the computer
or even syncing in some cases
it helps searching if one is 100% clear on what the various terms really mean

if you already knew this just ignore my post
Hello
Thanks you both for your responses.
Rudgear:Thats exactly what i am trying to do.
Windows 7 WMP has a built in streaming capability on what they call the home network.
i would like to know how to connect my Phone to the home network in order to use these feature.
I connect my phone using wifi on the same connection as the computer.

LOL, sorry i should have clarified, i know what streaming means, i was just meaning that I dont know about doing it with WMP
Also, is this actually possible with WMP from Windows 7, after all streaming has only recently been introduced at WIndows 7, does WMP in WM 6.1 have the client end of the streaming implemented?
An alternative is to use the Network plugin, effectively its streaming anyway because the data is only retrieved as its required, the whole file ISNT copied first, I use Core Player with the Network plugin to play movies on my Blackstone over the network all the time, so unless there is a specific reason for wanting to use WMP you can do it this way.

I tried this, but after it finds my PC and I set up the name and password, it shows it on the list, but nothing happens when I tap on it (or on the + sign). Am I doing something wrong? I've been looking for something like this.
