After flashing CM7, Flash the enclosed zip file which has the right baseband for Indian users.
Its not working..............flashed it in custom recovery both latest and stable.......it tells installation aborted

Heytry downloding the zip file again see if you can extract it locally, I guess the archive would have got corrupted while downloading..

you could use the ITFunz baseband choose tools. it is a chinese app.
Hi! I'm borrowing this thread a bit. Since I installed SBF Nordic/CM7 R0 I have serious problems with low d/l speed and I'm thinking that I may be sitting on the wrong baseband frequency. Which one should I use (I'm in Sweden, on Telia)?
I use the baseband files from 3.4.2-164-003Vodafone. my defy's sinal usually at 51 -dBm by this baseband, you can try it.

every thing worked fine and i was able to install CM7, now the problem is that defy is not able to select a mobile network and when it does connect to one than singnal strength is pritty low and the connection is for a very short period.

The zip attcahed in this thread doesnt work, when i tried to install it with recovery it says installation aborted.
than i searched a bit and came to know abt defy baseband swicher in one thready, it got insatlled smoothly with recovery and now i have the full netwrok access baseband version as EPU93_U_00_59.01

Some weird prob.
I am having kind of same problem. Basically I installed CM7 and all is ok, in fact its really good. But the problem is, after installing it, my Vodafone network isn't working. At first sight, kind of "No network" scenario.
But then I was really confused so I tried another SIM of TATA DOCOMO. It worked without any issue. And that Vodafone SIM too worked in my another cheap-ass cell. I tried to select network manually but there isn't any option for Vodafone to select.
Really don't know what to do. Please help.
EDIT : Well guys, issue has been solved, it was quite easy. Maybe i was too much excited to make my first post, didn't even bothered to read the last post.

For some reason the base band switcher app in cm7rc1.5 doesnt include SEA region with India.

I have just upgraded to cm7 rc 1.5 from rc1,,after that i made few calls,everything was working fine..suddenly after that, I am not able to hear any sound while making call-not even the caller tone

Thats because you didnt switch the baseband. Install that program and apply the fix for SEA. It should work fine afterwards

I'm facing issues installing india 3g fix.. when i install the zip, it says installation aborted.

That fix was made for CWM v3 and below so it wont work anymore. Use the latest baseband switcher app available in the development forum it includes SEA bands.

i just updated my galaxy s to the leaked 2.3.3 build from a danish 2.2.1 build i tryed reflashing it since i had problems with no data connection and errors in phone part ( though it worked, just a bit buggy) the reflash and repartion that i choose to do since i had voodoo kennel on my phone before did not help either, so now my phone cant use data connection
anyone have any suggestions? maybe it is a common error? i tryed googling and looking a bit but did not see anything.
I really appreciate the help, another thing i would love would be a 2.3.3 build with danish keyboard/speech in it.
Are you saying that you flashed to a phone that was lagfixed .
If so its broke your phone Undo lagfix before flash is rule one .
You will need to flash stock rom using Odin to get a working phone .

Okay but i flashed the version that was out in the forum with Odin, what Rom should i flash to get back to a state where i can flash 2.3.3 with Odin again? and will i need to re partion, i kinda thought that would take care of the laggfix?
I'm not sure what your problem is. Just take the files from the JVK Rom (PDA, Modem, CSC) add a pit file (512.pit or what you want) and select repartition and click start. Don't need to disable lagfix if you do it that way.

I have now flashed samsung stock kennel for 3.3.3 , i have reflashed 2.2.1 the version i get from my kies in Denmark and everything works in 2.2.1, now i tryed reflashing 2.3.3 and i still got the same problem as before any help would be much appreciated
Sounds like you need to put in your telco specific APN to get data working.

It's not a file, it's the name/details of a server on your provider's network. If you didn't back up your original firmware, you'll probably have to call your network or check their website.
Word to the wise - reposting the same question after 7 minutes won't win you too many friends
Danish 2.3.3 keyboard - best to wait until the Nordic firmware is released/leaked.

I installed motogingerbeta5 and everything worked great.
After a reboot my phone doesn't connect to the network (no 3g, no edge, nothing!) .
I tried baseband switcher, defy app that comes with GB and didn't work.
So i flashed brazil sbf and restored my nandroid backup (restoring my phone just before i tried GB leak). I was using argen2stone 1.9 before.
but the problem persists.
I tried the sim on another phone and it works perfectly.
PLease I need help from you guys I'm desperate, don't know what to do.

My defy+ has strange problems with data connection, sms and calls on every ROM that comes with baseband version 00.60.00 (CM7.2, CM9). I can make calls for about 2-3 hours after flash, and than connection is just lost. Only reboot helps for next 1-2 hours. Everything is normal on stock (baseband version 00.60.03), and on cm10 - jellybean (also 00.60.03).
So my idea was to find a way to flash EPU93_U_00.60.03, but i have no idea where and how to find it. Any ideas?

Thank you, but this is a cm10 implemented baseband switcher. I think it does not change the baseband version (number - 00.60.00 for example) The thing is, on cm10 it works perfectly with central europe setting (I'm from Croatia, company ViP), and cm7.2 and cm9 not. The only difference betwen these ROMs is baseband version number (00.60.00 for cm7.2 and 9; 00.60.03 for cm10 and also for stock, which works fine)

Yeah, funny thing is I already tried everything suggested.. Let me explain it this way: I flashed cm7.2 or cm9, flashed baseband switcher app, tried all of baseband versions there, included central europe setting, NONE worked. Now I flashed cm10, work perfectly. So i flashed baseband switcher just to check baseband settings, so it was central europe. Perfectly working. So it was mystery to me, and ONLY difference I managed to find was different baseband version number in "about phone" (EPU93_U_00.60.00 doesn't work, EPU93_U_00.60.03 work perfectly). Funny, isn't it?
Can someone tell me what is the option to select in baseband selection option in maniac's CM7.2 for defy+ aircel india service provider.i have selected Asia->china but not sure wt to select in 3rd option,
the options are 1)0.26/1.10,2)2.5/2.6/2.10,3)ME722.1.10.

Hi guys, first of all let me share al my specs in order to place my question properly:

Actual Rom: CyanogenMod -version: 10.2 10.2-20130923-nightly -jftlecan

Recovery Mode: CWM via Rom Manager Pro app
So saying that I will say this: I came from stock to CM wiping Factory Reset and data/cache only and I used Odin for rootint the device....no problems at all, runs like a charm...
MY ISSUE #1: A couple of auto-updates ago (via Rom Manager), I start to notice that the radio bars (telephony signal, mobile internet signal bars) were from 1 to 2 bars in places I always get full bars (I live on a 7th floor with excelent signal at Mexico City). I searched on the forums (XDA developers and here) and it seems that ROOTED DEVICES SHOW THE REAL SIGNAL PROVIDED BY THE CAREER---->can someone confirm this? Is my phone showing the real signal strenght?, eventhough, keep reading to see that low signal bars are only the beginning...
So as i said, I didnt worry pretty much, because if the bars are little low, but i have a good quality service, who cares? but the REAL PROBLEM appears when another update came and when Im trying to use my mobile internet (4g or 3G, doesnt matter) the signal cuts exactly at the moment of loading a page or any info....it as happened with almost all apps (specially Facebook, Waze and Google Maps)
It happens as follows:
1.- Open any app, like Dolphin browser or Firefox
2.- Page starts to load info (LTE showing download and upload state)
3.- LTE-3G or whatever, shuts down (I see only the telephony signal bars and there is no internet signal)
4.- Wait few seconds, LTE-3G whatever is back...have to try again and agin until LTE remains steady (sometimes it wont until I reboot)
ISUE #2- DURING CALLS:
- Sometimes people cant hear me, but I can hear them...restart the phone and the issue fixes it self...buts is very annoying to restart my phone every single time somebody calls me and they cant hear me
I dont know what to do guys? Shall I wait until final CM10.2 comes to light? Somebody has this bug also? Is this bug part of CM? or there is another app making this rare behaivour...(do you recommend me another ROM for this model of GS4??)
EDIT: I tried to flash the original modem.bin (via ODIN) which is used by my carreer (TELCEL, son of Slim AKA "The richest man on Babylon :silly: is the company´s name). So until now, I can tell that in my first attempts of opening pages or facebook, the randomly LTE turning off-on continues...I will keep testing with this "orginal" flashed modem....

It's defiinitely a modem issue. You can flash new modems and try. (backup efs before doing so, actually if you dont already have one - do it before now and save yourself some grief)
If that's not fixing the issues...
I'd backup what you need and start fresh. It would be the easiest way to resolve all your issues. Maybe even try a different kernel set for your region and phone.
Kies has a useful firmware recovery option that sets you back to stock.
The Kies will use your model number and serial to get you your stock firmware and reset you back. Id wipe all data under settings then do it. After its done, do another factory reset in recovery.

Thanks for that advice, i guess Im going to do all that if a new kernel doesnt fix the issue (I havent found any kernel for my region which supports Android 4.3, only 4.2.2, and someone told me is not correct to install such a kernel). Good day to you!

So after done all the "back to stock" steps, I still get this questions:
1.- Would I still be ROOT but with stock firmware (Touchwiz) and cool features originally made for Samsung GS4? (such as air gestures, etc etc)
2.- If im "unrooted" by the steps described in your link, can I upgrade to 4.3???

Check out GoldenEye ROM or MDOB ROM in the development forum. They are extremely stable, super fast, tw and excellent battery life. CM is awesome, but is seriously way to flawed for our S4's right now to use for day to day life.

Thanks. I successfully installed stock Rom (Touch Wiz) and the signal has been impecable (full vars and excellent internet speed). I have to say that stock Rom is faster than CM in its current state I'm having a better experience right now ( and didn't had the time to explore all the Samsung apps in their depth) thanks again for your kind help!!!

Same as you... LTe and 3G are still having disconnections every time the screen is loading some page (facebook, explorer, playstore... you name it!!) Dont know what to do
I can still try to flash the original modem... Or is there some way to know if our modems are up to date or not??? Heeeeeeeelp!!!!!!

You're having that issue on either GoldenEye or MDOB or factory?
Man, I decided to return to full stock rom...LTE in perfect shape now...dont know what happened...i flashed with odin the exact version indicated in forums for making only the root without the custom rom or recovery...even that soft rooting is making my modem going crazy...i prefer stay this way until someone releases a decent full version for a GS4 SGH-I337m thanks guys
Did you try one of iB4STiD's ROMs? They work perfectly. CM is just way to full of bugs.

How did you go mine still up the creek I have tried everything possible that I have been advised thanks to a kind senior member I am writing down all the evil things I did to my device to hopefully be able to fix whatever I did because no amount of flashing using ODIN or KIES reset works there seems to be something missing from my fone I just wish I knew I started disliking it

Well I just went back to original stock firm ware via Kies, and now the radio signal issues are gone!! CM 10.2 didn't work well for me as the stock rom is now working in my phone. Something tells me that some times it's better to just rooting (for enjoying cool apps as Greenify) and not installing custom Roms (because all this kernel carnival is just to much, and appart of all we have to install radio firmware? Just no!)

So I just Installed PA 3.99.1-RC1-20130914 and PA_GApps-20131018
It's strange to see that there was no Google Chrome by default along with the following issues :
- Camera is not working - on opening the app it simply says Can't connect to camera.
- There is no signal and on searching for networks, it asks for sim.
- Also the PA_OTA app says unable to check for updates, though I'm able to download apps.
Did you come from 4.2? Did you flash the new radio?

Coming from 4.3 . I hadn't flashed it earlier, did just now, Doing factory reset and reinstalling PA and GApps. Hope it helps.
Got stock image and flashed it to make sure everything is latest, flashed PA again but same issues.
Can it be because I'm using 3.99.1 ?
Back to stock for now. Need the SIM to work atleast.
